THE PRIMETIME PLAYERS VS. THE MAVERICKS (INTERNET EXCLUSIVE)
This was a very competitive match-up, and the internet fans were definitely in for a treat in getting to watch this match. Both teams volleyed the advantage back and forth, with hot tags and double-team offense being the difference maker. Eventually, it spilled into a four-man brawl, which lead to Austin Starr and Matt Bentley in the ring, with Elix Skipper and Frankie Kazarian on the outside. Starr was able to plant Bentley to the mat with a brainbuster, but then Kazarian came in and broke up the pin. Starr rolled to the outside as Skipper came in and grabbed Kazarian. He then planted Kazarian to the mat with the Sudden Death. Starr followed it up with a 450 Splash for the pinfall victory.

A review video of last week's pay-per-view was shown, followed by the NWA:TNA opening video. Then, fireworks blasted off on the stage, as Paul Heyman & Dean Malenko welcomed everyone to the show from the announce position. They declared that tonight's pay-per-view would be the beginning of the superstar rankings. They showed 3 graphics - one for each division - which showed the preliminary standings. Each champion began with 5 points so that they were #1 in the rankings, but obviously everyone else was tied in second place. They announced we would kick off the show with a Tag Team Divisional match-up!
AMERICA'S MOST WANTED VS. LATIN AMERICAN XCHANGE
This match was nothing pretty; in fact, it was mainly a huge brawl. The referee never really got either team settled into the corners, as they continued to fight despite several warnings. Chris Harris's head was bandaged up after receiving a vicious ddt onto the ring apron last week. Konnan would end up taking advantage of that in order for LAX to get the victory. Behind the referee's back, Konnan smashed Harris in the face with a television monitor from the announce table. This allowed Hernandez to hit James Storm with the Border Toss powerbomb in the ring and get the pinfall without any interrutpion, leading LAX to a tainted victory.
Backstage, AJ Styles is getting ready for his match tonight against Homicide when Chris Sabin comes up to him. He stands over him for a minute. Styles asks if he wants to wish him luck or something. Sabin laughs, and says Styles won't need luck tonight. Styles asks why, and Sabin says to walk with him so they can talk.
SONJAY DUTT VS. JIMMY JACOBS VS. ALEX SHELLEY
Jacobs and Dutt started this match off by double-teaming Shelley, proving to be a worthy cause because it took Shelley out of the equation for most all of the match. They would attack Shelley for a few moments, throw him out of the ring, and then start fighting each other. Eventually, though, Shelley wised up and just didn't get back into the ring for a few minutes. He waited for them to hit a high-impact maneuver, get in the ring and push the aggressor out of the ring, and try to get a pinfall for himself. Eventually, the plan backfired. Jimmy Jacobs had leveled Sonjay Dutt with a superkick. Alex Shelley tied to run in the ring, but Jacobs caught him and hit him with the Conta Code! He then rolled him over and pinned him for the three count and the victory!
Backstage, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper informs Lance Storm, Jeff Jarrett, Raven, and Justin Credible that they will be the lumberjacks for tonight's match between Kurt Angle and Rhino. He explains that he wants there to be a winner in this match, so their job is to keep the men in the ring and make sure no one interferes so we can have a winner. He says if this match is screwed up, there will be severe consequences for all of the men involved in screwing up the match. Piper then informed Justin Credible that his match was up next.
KEIJI SAKODA VS. JUSTIN POLACO
Before the match began, Justin Credible informed the ring announcer that Raven wanted him to be known as Justin Polaco from now on, so the announcer re-introduced him with the new name. Nonetheless, it didn't help him any because Sakoda still dominated the match. He finished off Polaco with the same move that he beat Shark Boy with last week, a variation of the STO. After picking up the pinfall victory, Sakoda had no time to celebrate because Abyss came running to the ring again, and hit Sakoda with the Black Hole Slam! Shark Boy looked on from the stage as Abyss lifted up Sakoda and hit him with another Black Hole Slam.
Part 2 of Paparazzi Productions presents "The Return of Kevin Nash" aired at this time. Shelley and Nash went through Nash's (somewhat humorous) training regiment. All the while, Nash cracked jokes at how Shelley and the rest of the X-Division couldn't do half of the things that Nash could do. Shelley said that the X-Division was good in it's own way, and Nash laughed. Shelley said he would like to see Nash try his hand in the X-Division. Nash says he will do just that, and he will start next week!*
*After the video, Paul and Dean informed everyone that Kevin Nash has not been cleared to wrestle yet, so he will nto be debuting in the X-Division next week, but he will be returning to the ring in a few weeks and will join the X-Division!
MONTY BROWN VS. RON KILLINGS (NWA:TNA MILLION DOLLAR CHAMPIONSHIP)
Before the match, Ted Dibiase announced that every successful title defense of the Million Dollar title will earn a wrestler $5,000. However, since it is only defenses, no one will be receiving any money tonight. Also, money will be handed out at the end of a title reign. Dibiase then announced that Brown's opponent would be Ron Killings, who just recently switched to the heavyweight division! This match wasn't particularly long due to the flurry of announcements given before hand, but it was still a hard-fought battle between two of TNA's rising stars. Monty Brown ended the match, hitting Ron Killings with the Pounce out of nowhere and then covering him for the three count. Brown took the title from Ted Dibiase, albeit a bit reluctantly, and left to the back with it.
Backstage, Beth Givens interviewed Lance Storm. Storm announced that he had accepted a challenge to be in a huge inter-promotional pay-per-view known as LockDown! He will be facing off against three other World Champions inside a steel cage to determine who truly is the Champion of Champions! He went on to say that many other TNA superstars may be challenged to appear at this event within the coming weeks.
RODERICK STRONG w/CHRISTOPHER DANIELS VS. PETEY WILLIAMS w/CHRISTIAN CAGE
This was a great X-Division match, definitely showcasing two of the very different styles in the division. Roderick, being a bit larger, controlled much of the offense, although Williams definitely got his shots and signature moves in. The end of the match saw Strong very frustrated - not able to put Petey away. Christopher Daniels threw the X-Division title in the ring. Strong looked confused and very unwilling to use the belt to cheat. However, when he bent down to pick it up, Williams used the oppurtunity to kick him in the mid-section and hit him with the Canadian Destroyer! Williams rolled Strong over and picked up what has to be considered an upset victory after the way this match handled up until the ending. After the match, Williams helped Strong up and the two shook hands. Christian Cage then shook Strong's hand as well. The Tag champions left to the back, leaving Christopher Daniels in the ring with Roderick Strong. Strong picked up the X-Division title belt and nailed Roderick in the back of the head with it! He then grabbed him and hit him with the Angel's Wings. Daniels stood over Strong for a while, yelling that he made Strong who he is today.
A commercial aired for NWA:TNA's "Final Resolution" - a very special pay-per-view event - Wednesday, December 27th, 2006.
"THE PHENOMENAL" AJ STYLES VS. "THE NOTORIOUS 187" HOMICIDE
This match was easily the match of the night thusfar (but it could definitely get shwoed up by one of the next two). This was the hardest fought match of the card, easily, and both men truly looked like they needed to win this match. It was for more than just points though - it was for pride. Homicide tried to keep Styles grounded throughout the match, but he continued to fight back with his innovative style of offense. The end of the match saw Homicide in firm control, looking to hit AJ with the monster lariat that he used on him last week. He bounced off one set of ropes and AJ ducked out of the way. He then bounced off the ropes across the ring and Chris Sabin came from out of nowhere and hit him in the back with a chair. Styles then grabbed the Notorious 187 and hit him with the Styles Clash! He rolled him over and pinned him for the three count and the victory. Sabin and Styles ran to the back, leaving before Homicide could make any return action against them.
A review of Rhino's big return at the end of last week's main event played.
KURT ANGLE VS. RHINO (LUMBERJACK MATCH)
This match only lasted a few minutes, but it was hard-hitting from the start to finish. Angle and Rhino obviously were very determined to win this match. Eventually, Rhino left the ring randomly on his own will. Angle looked on as Rhino ran around the ring and hit Lance Storm with the Gore! As Angle was distracted by Rhino's surprising actions, Raven and Justin Polaco jumped into the ring and attacked him from behind! Jarrett climbed into the ring and another huge brawl ensued. Roddy Piper rushed to the ring with a contingent of security guards, breaking up the brawl. Piper said that he wasn't lying about the consequences that would happen if this match didn't work out, and he had something in store for all of them, but it would start with Rhino - the instigator of the brawl. He said next week, Rhino would be facing off against a man with a lot of built up frustration - the "monster," Abyss! Rhino then tried to attack Roddy Piper, but Kurt Angle attacked Rhino from behind, knocking him to the floor. Piper then pushed Angle back, holding him against the ring apron. Rhino crawled up the ramp to the back to escape.
Backstage, Beth Givens tries to get an interview with Sabu, but he just pushes her out of the way and then leaves towards the ring.
A review of the feud between Sabu and Necro Butcher aired. Afterward, Paul and Dean explained the rules to this match: If Necro wins, he gets a TNA contract. If Sabu wins, Necro is banned from TNA for life. Tables, ladders, chairs, and chains are the primary weapons, but everything else is legal as well.
SABU VS. NECRO BUTCHER (FULL METAL MAYHEM)
This was an extreme brawl, and an amazing way to end the show, leaving the fans with something great. Early in the match, Necro Butcher drilled Sabu through a table on the outside, moving as Sabu attempted a leap off a chair. After that, Necro basically controlled most of the offense for the next few minutes. Sabu started to battle back, and finally gained control for good when Butcher tried to set up his own table. Sabu ended up diving off of a ladder holding a chair in front of him to knock Butcher through the table! Sabu then rolled into the ring, jumped off a chair, and springboarded off the ropes to hit Butcher with a very high angle Arabian Facebuster on the floor! Sabu rolled over and pinned Butcher for the three count and the victory. After the match, Sabu left to the back to a standing ovation from the crowd. Necro Butcher layed on the ground near the ring, bloody and battered, as this would be his final appearance in NWA:TNA.
