Highlights from last week's Episode #3.8 and Club Hardcore special air.
A short video showing all of the different logos of Fight Club Wrestling flashes quickly, ending with the current FCW logo with the catchphrase "Get serious." beneath it.
Fight Club Complex, Minneapolis | Mar. 25, 2008
The Fight Club TV opening video plays to the sound of Sugarcult's "Lights Out." The camera pans the FCW Complex in Minneapolis, as Joey Styles and Tazz welcome everyone to the show.
Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring, which holds a table with a briefcase atop it. He grabs a microphone and welcomes Rob Van Dam to the ring! RVD makes his way to the ring to a standing ovation, followed by chants of "sign the contract!" and "RVD! RVD!" RVD basks in the crowd for a few moments before agreeing to sign with FCW! Before he can even open the briefcase, Jay Roclass makes his way out on the stage.
Roclass: "Well, well, well... If it isn't Mr. Sunday Night, Mr. Thursday Night, Mr. Monday Night, more like Mr. Last Night. Rob Van Dam, you are old news. I am the future of professional wrestling as a whole. I am Mr. Every Night, and frankly, I fail to see how this signing is newsworthy. What is more newsworthy is the fact that as of now, I am being held off of the Last Chance pay-per-view, which obviously indicates that you aren't looking for any buys."
Shane: "You know what, Jay, I am looking for buys, and that's why Last Chance will need to feature Rob Van Dam! And what better opponent for RVD than "Mr. Every Night" himself, Jay Roclass."
Roclass: "Gladly, gladly!"
Shane: "And you know what? Why wait? There's still time to get you two in the ring before Last Chance, so how about tonight Rob Van Dam finds a partner of his choice and Jay Roclass finds a partner... if he can... and we have ourselves a little tag team action tonight!"
RVD smiles and Jay Roclass nods his head as he walks to the back.

Backstage, Shane McMahon and the Coach are trying to settle down the females of FCW's roster. Candice Michelle steps up to speak for them.
Candice: "Shane! We are sick and tired of being treated as T&A in Fight Club! We are all athletes and we want to have our chance to shine! We want an FCW Women's Championship!"
Shane: "Listen, ladies, that's out of my hands right now. In between seasons at the Board of Directors meetings, we will discuss the idea. Now, we do have several new women coming to the company for next season, so your odds might be better, but the brand split in tact, it might hurt your chances, so it's a toss-up right now. I will do what I can."
Candice: "Well, until we get what we want, we are on strike!"
Candice and the rest of the women leave to go continue their protest. Shane turns to Coach.
Shane: "If I knew this was going to be so difficult, I would have just stayed at home."
#1 Contendership for the Cruiserweight Championship
Paul London vs. Spanky
The irony in this match started early, as the Hooliganz made their way to the ring together, despite being opponents in this match. Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black of the Age of the Fall stood by on commentary with Joey and Tazz. After a back-and-forth battle which saw both men flying around the ring on the offensive and the defensive, we finally crowned the #1 Contender to receive a shot at Last Chance. London appeared to be on the offensive, but it was Spanky who picked up the win, landing on his feet after London tried throwing him out of the ring. Spanky entered the ring and caught London from behind, planting him to the mat with Sliced Bread #2 for the pinfall victory. Post-match, Black and Jacobs beat down the Hooliganz, leaving them lying before the break. (13:12)

Backstage, Jay Roclass recruits JBL to be his tag team partner against RVD tonight.
In his dressing room, Shane McMahon brings in Eric Bischoff and C.M. Punk to make an announcement regarding their match later tonight.
Shane: "Tonight, when you two face off, it will be the #1 Contender for the FCW World Heavyweight Champion, the Straight Edge warrior, C.M. Punk against... Eric Bischoff, and while that is such a great billing on its own, I think we can take this one step further. Tonight, we will see you two face off in a lumberjack match. Eric Bischoff will take his six cronies, Project 5 and Age of the Fall, and C.M. Punk will find 6 friends within the FCW roster to serve as his, ad we will..."
: "SHANE!"
Big Show storms into the dressing room, as Punk and Bischoff find the door.
Show: "Shane... Tell me I didn't just see that. You gave Rob Van Dam a contract before ME? You and I go way back, Shane. I'm THE BIG SHOW, Shane. What's it take to get a contract here?"
Shane: "Show, it's really not my decision, and you know that. The Board of Directors decides as a whole who to offer contracts to, and based solely on the matches last week, they were more impressed with what Rob Van Dam could offer to the company."
Show: "You want impressive, Shane-o? You want impressive? I'll show you impressive TONIGHT."
Shane: "Show, please don't do anything rash that would destroy my show.. or my set."
Shane shakes his head at Big Show and sits down on his couch, again rubbing his head.
Singles Match
Roderick Strong vs. Darin Corbin
Strong basically destroyed Corbin in a squash match; not much to say besides that; Strong won via pinfall after Roderick's Edge -- a Razor's Edge Backbreaker. (3:02)

The strange message from last week appears again, the letters all scramble and then two words begin to glow.
Eight-Man Tag Team Match
The Hardy Boys & Team CHIKARA vs. New Age Punishment & The King's Men
This match was an all-out war, yet fairly short in terms of match length. The match kicked off with Team CHIKARA leaping over the ropes with a pair of planchas, taking out the King's Men and Jay Lethal. Jeff Hardy tried to join them with one of his own, but Samoa Joe caught him and then slammed him head-first into the dumpster alongside the ramp. With Jeff unconscious, it did not take long for the King's Men and NAP to take control. McGuinness and Regal beat down Jigsaw, Jay Lethal and Mike Quackenbush battled on the outside, and Matt Hardy battled with samoa Joe in the ring. Again, it did not take Joe long to take control of the match, beating Hardy down with his signature moves, before finally finishing him off with the Muscle Buster for the pinfall victory. After the match, he locked in the Clutch. Mike Quackenbush tried to break it up to no avail as his adversaries outnumbered him. (8:29)
Backstage, RVD recruits Sabu to be his tag team partner against Jay Roclass and JBL.

Tag Team Match
Rob Van Dam & Sabu vs. Jay Roclass & JBL
While not everyday tag team partners, these two teams still put on an old school classic heel vs. face tag team match. Roclass and JBL used some heel tactics perfectly, targetting Sabu without letting him get a tag for the majority of the match. Eventually, Van Dam came in and as expected, all hell broke loose as all four men got involved. The match finally appeared to be concluding as RVD nailed JBL with the Van Daminator and climbed to the top rope. Jay Roclass hopped up on the apron and sent RVD flying into the barricade. In the meantime, Sabu was climbing up on another ring apron and nailed JBL with a flying leg drop. Before he could get the pin, Jay Roclass leaped off the ropes and nailed Sabu with a knee to the side of the head. Jay then rolls over Sabu and pins him for the three count and the victory. RVD climbs back into the ring and Jay rolls out, heading to the back celebrating as his Last Chance opponent stares him down. (11:12)

Shane McMahon comes down to the ring and joins Joey Styles and Tazz for commentary.
Lumberjack Match
C.M. Punk vs. Eric Bischoff
Lumberjacks: Raven, Brent Albright, Tyson Tomko, Giant Bernard, Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black, Colt Cabana, Tommy Dreamer, Elijah Burke, Jericho, Shane Helms, & The Big Show
The Big Show made his way to the ring after the rest of the lumberjacks, and immediately incited a riot on the outside of the ring among the lumberjacks. Eric Bischoff stood by and watched the brawl on the outside, which eventually brought out Paul London, Spanky, Finlay, and Shelton Benjamin to battle with their Last Chance opponents (Age of the Fall, Jericho, and Helms respectively). Bischoff finally remembered what was happening, realized he had no back-up, and tried to run from Punk. Punk grabbed his shirt and pulled him back into the ring, nailing him with the Go 2 Sleep for the pinfall victory. As Punk celebrated, Raven entered the ring, but the Big show caught him from behind and nailed him with the chokeslam. Show then turned around and grabbed Punk by the throat and gave him a chokeslam as well! The Big Show looked over Shane McMahon and nodded to him, signing the air to signal he is still looking for a contract. (5:57)
Joey Styles and Tazz thank everyone for watching the show.
