Episode #4.2 | May 8, 2008
A short video showing all of the logos of FCW's history airs, ending with the current Fight Club Wrestling logo. An image of Club Hardcore Commissioner Eric Bischoff flashes on the screen. A brand new video package debuted, higlighting the stars of FCW's Club Hardcore brand to the sounds of Sugarcult's "Lights Out." The camera pans the Fight Club Complex in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Hardcore Heavyweight Champion, JBL makes his way to the ring to kick off the show. he grabs a microphone.
JBL: "Thank you, thank you. I appreciate that warm welcome for the Heavyweight Champion and Wrestling..... God. It's a wonder I even showed up tonight, as there is no one for me to fight here. No one on this show is even in my league. And I---"
Terry Funk's music hits and the "Hardcore Legend" charges the ring, wrapped in a bull rope once again!
Funk: "Listen here, son! I ain't done with you! You may have beat me in a Pure Rules match, but you haven't beaten me in a true, Club Hardcore Wrassling match. I want a rematch, and I want it tonight!"
JBL, backing out of the ring and to the back, argues with his adversary.
JBL: "No, Terry! No! No! No! I don't owe you a shot. I beat you already. I don't owe you anything. You-- You're washed up, old man. You better pack it up or find a tag team partner, cause I'm not giving you another shot. You find a different opponent cause it's not going to be me."
JBL leaves to the back. Funk looks around. He drops the microphone and holds the bell of the rope up in the air. The crowd pops as Funk runs to the back!
Backstage, Elijah Burke and Dusty Rhodes arrive at the arena. Dusty is trying to convince Burke to deal with the situation diplomatically, because he doesn't trust Bischoff. Burke says he doesn't care, and he is fighting for the U.S. Championship -- tonight.

Backstage, JBL is looking for a place to hide. He sees Coach standing in the interview area chatting with the security. He realizes that he is wearing a suit, much like they are, and tries to cover himself by hiding amongst them.
Coach: "What the hell are you doing?"
JBL: "Shh..."
Funk comes walking around the backstage area, shouting "come out, come out, whereever you are!" and swinging the bell around. He finally spots JBL and stares him down. The smile fades off JBL's face. He then grabs Coach and pulls him into a corner.
JBL: "If you take one step closer, Coach gets it!"
Funk: "What? I don't give a damn about the Coach!"
Coach: "What?"
Just then, Jay Roclass and Necro Butcher jump Funk from behind, beating him down as they and JBL run off.
Elijah Burke makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction, with Dusty Rhodes waddling not far behind. He grabs a microphone.
Burke: "All right, if Shelton won't come to our show, then we're doing this match here."
Burke waits again, and again, Eric Bischoff comes up on the screen instead of his opponent.
Bischoff: "You know, Eli... I don't really trust Dusty Rhodes being here for a U.S. Championship match, but if you want to fight on Club Hardcore so bad, I don't have a problem with it. However, if you lose tonight, you won't be allowed back here for a U.S. Championship match -- EVER."
Brent Albright makes his way to the ring to huge heat.
Singles Match | Must Win for Elijah Burke to contend for U.S. Title
Elijah Burke w/Dusty Rhodes vs. "Gun 4 Hire" Brent Albright
Shelton Benjamin makes his way to the ring to join Clay Matvick for commentary, distracting Burke just long enough for Albright to attack him from behind. The two men battle it out in a short, but technically sound match. As Elijah gains the advantage, Shelton gets up from the announce table and starts to enter the ring, but Dusty Rhodes grabs him by the ankle. After a scuffle between the two (while Burke and Albright battled inside the ring), Dusty hit Shelton with the bionic elbow. Albright, taking advantage of the Burke moments before, walked over and grabbed Dusty, however the distraction proved to hurt Albright as Burke got up and nailed him with the Elijah Express in the corner! He then set him up for an inverted DDT, which he turned into a suplex, planting Albright to the mat for the pinfall victory. (7:23)
Winner: Elijah Burke
Elijah and Dusty celebrated, as an angered Eric Bischoff walked out on the stage and sent security down to the ring to take them away.

The FCW Experience
Joey and Tazz run down the preshow matches for today's event in our new segment known as the FCW Experience -- a pair of tag team contests. In the first bout, the King's Men of William Regal and Nigel McGuinness defeated Team Hallokuma via an STF from Regal on Gran Akuma. The second bout featured Jay Roclass and his new partner, Necro Butcher, teaming up against Charlie Haas and Batista of the Gladiators. Roclass continued his winning ways, defeating Charlie Haas via the Roclass Intent (second-rope curb stomp) while Butcher and Batista battled on the outside.
Singles Match
Randy Orton vs. The Hurricane #3
Hurricane #3 is in the ring when we return to the live broadcast. Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to a generally negative reaction. He dominates the match "early and often" as they say, not allowing Hurricane #3 much offense. 'cane #3 may have been dressed as Captain America, but he did not show off any super powers as the newcomer to FCW dominated the match, winning the bout easily after planting his adversary to the mat with the RKO. (3:21)
Winner: Randy Orton
Backstage, Eric Bischoff instructs the members of Project 5, Tyson Tomko and Giant Bernard to take out C.M. Punk in their tag team match against the Second City Saints tonight. Tomko assures him that it was their plan all along. Bischoff warns them to watch out for Tommy Dreamer's interference.
~ Commerical Break ~
As Terry Funk is being nursed with bandages after the assault on him earlier by Jay Roclass and Necro Butcher, Eric Bischoff enters the room, announcing to Funk that he is a "fair man" and is willing to give Funk a chance at the No. 1 Contendership for the Hardcore Heavyweight Title later tonight. He will be facing off against Rob Van Dam and Matt Hardy ... as well as Cactus Jack!
Tag Team Match
Project 5 w/Lacey vs. Second City Saints w/Candice Michelle
Project 5 made their way to the ring first to a chorus of boos, although Lacey received a few whistles from the crowd. C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana made their way to the ring next, reuniting against a common adversary to a huge pop. Eric Bischoff announces that he will be sending out the new Club Hardcore Head of Security to keep tommy Dreamer from interfering. Sadly for him, the head of security is none other than the Iron Sheik. Nonetheless, he did keep Tommy Dreamer from interfering -- for the most part. His hormones got the best of him though, as the helped himself to a handful of Candice Michelle's rear end on the outside. This caused Colt Cabana to get in Sheik's face. One would likely assume that lead to downfall for his partner in the ring, but as Punk lifted up Bernard for the Go To sleep, tommy Dreamer climbed from under the ring and grabbed Tomko's leg to keep him from interfering in the move. Punk cleared Bernard from the ring and then grabbed Tomko himself, locking him in the Anaconda Vice for the submission victory! (14:22)
Winners: The Second City Saints
Iron Sheik took a swing at Colt Cabana on the outside, but Colt moved and Sheik walked straight into a huge forearm from Candice! Punk, Candice, and Colt left to the back celebrating, as the Sheik collapsed to the ground.

FCW Hardcore Heavyweight No. 1 Contender's Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Matt Hardy "Version 2.0" vs. Terry Funk vs. Cactus Jack
Matt Hardy made his way to the ring first to heel heat, followed by Cactus who got a huge pop despite playing a heel throughout his entire FCW career. Rob Van Dam got a large pop upon his entrance, as well as "The Hardcore Icon" Terry Funk. This match, simply put, showed us how Club Hardcore got its name. All four men battled throughout the arena, as they broke into two rivalries with Hardy against RVD and Funk against Jack. After some time, Hardy was taken out so Funk and RVD teamed up on Cactus. When Matt returned, he decided to take on Terry Funk, leaving RVD and Jack to battle it out against each other. We finally got the biggest spot of the match, as RVD hit Cactus with the Van Daminator, rolling him off the stage onto a table. Van Dam then could not resist, leaping off the stage and crashing Jack through the table with the Van Daminator! With both men out, Funk and Hardy appeared to be the last two men in the match. Funk, the more experienced hardcore star, quickly took control of Hardy much like RVD had before. Funk finally finished Hardy off by hitting him with a piledriver onto a barbwire board! Funk was stuck to the board himself, but he still rolled over and pinned a bloodied Hardy for the pinfall victory, gaining himself a rematch against JBL at the supershow in three weeks. (20:12)
Winner & New No. 1 Contender for the Hardcore Championship: Terry Funk
Terry Funk celebrates his victory after removing the barbwire from his tights, while Joey Styles and Tazz thank everyone for watching as the show fades to a close.
