FCW Experience Pre-Show
The Coach and Angela DeVigne welcome everyone to the show from backstage, they run down the PPV card, starting with the title matches, then the KOTR qualifying matches, and finally the two grudge matches. We then see a short video vignette about the interesting story taking place between Randy Orton and Batista.
Singles Match | Winner Enters KOTR Qualifying Battle Royal
Kofi Kingston vs. Terry Funk
While Kingston's speed was "Jamaican" Terry Funk crazy, it would not prove to be enough to earn a shot in the KOTR qualifying battle royal as Funk defeated Kofi with his signature piledriver. (6:22)
Winner: Terry Funk
Coach and Angela talk about the feud over the Cruiserweight Championship between Shane Helms and Austin Aries, how it started spontaneously but became rather heated. We then see a short vignette about that feud.
Brent Albright, Mike Knox, and Darin Corbin are in the ring when we return. Albright cuts a problem about how they are sick of being disrespected and that they are becoming the new force in FCW. Team CHIKARA makes their way down on the stage and Mike Quackenbush refutes their claim, stating that they have done nothing but moan and complain since they arrived in FCW. This brings on our second match of the evening.
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Team CHIKARA & Colt Cabana vs. FOURCE
While CHIKARA and Cabana appear to have the match won by dominating throughout, the surprise debut of Matt Striker turns things around for the newest FCW stable as he hits Jigsaw with a back cracker allowing Corbin to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match, Striker celebrates with his new teammates, holding up four fingers and saying "We are FOURCE!" (10:22)
Winners: Darin Corbin, Mike Knox, and Brent Albright (FOURCE)
A video highlighting the storylines leading up to the Jeff Hardy vs. Charlie Haas vs. Big Show main event airs as the show fades to a close.
END of DAYS 2008
The FCW logo montage airs to kick off the show, followed by a long opening video to tonight's theme song, "From Crib to Coffin" by Emery. The images track the entire FCW season, highlighting the biggest matches leading up to this pay-per-view. As the song gets to the first breakdown, we fade to the FCW Arena where pyros blast off the stage while the video continues in the background. Joey Styles and Tazz welcome everyone to the show from their announce table before sending it across to Mick Foley and Brent Musberger on the other side of the ring, who hype up our opening match, a battle royal for a spot in the KOTR tournament
FCW King of the Ring Qualifying Battle Royal
Terry Funk vs. Elijah Burke vs. Necro Butcher vs. William Regal vs. Nigel McGuinness vs.
Chavo Guerrero, Jr. vs. Carlito Colon vs. Delirious vs. Hallowicked vs. John Morrison
John Morrison made his FCW debut in this match, having a very impressive showing in the early going. Here's the order of elimination. Jay Roclass was originally scheduled to be involved, but he was apparently on strike due to what happened last week and Burke took his place. Here's the order of elimination: 1.) William Regal by Morrison; 2.) Necro Butcher by Burke; 3.) Hallowicked by Morrison; 4.) Chavo Guerrero by Delirious; 5.) Delirious by Colon; 6.) Terry Funk by Burke; 7.) Carlito Colon by Morrison; 8.) Morrison by McGuinness; 9.) It came down to Burke against McGuinness, two men more skilled at technical wrestling than the ability to toss another man over the top rope. The crowd was firmly behind Elijah from the beginning, but grew angry with him after turning on Terry Funk, thus cheering on Nigel at this point. It would not be enough to get McGuinness the win though, as Burke landed on his feet after a back body drop over the ropes and then hit McGuinness with a back suplex to the outside for the victory! (16:22)
Winner: Elijah Burke
Backstage, Eric Bischoff brags about the fact that he traded Brent Albright away for a real winner in Elijah Burke, and he was happy to get rid of him. Rhodes says that while he is not a big fan of all of Albright's tactics, he sees plenty of talent in him. Additionally, because Rhodes trades for Albright, he now will have five members of the Fallout roster in the King of the Ring tournament instead of four. Bischoff storms off angrily.
Joey and Tazz laugh at Bischoff as we return to their side of the ring as they commentate the FCW Fallout half of the program.
Singles Match
"The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles vs. "Pretty Boy" Shannon Moore
This match was originally scheduled for the pre-show, but FCW officials decided to let these two go out and put on the match they wanted, and they definitely delivered. This one was fast-paced but technical as the two cruiserweights flew around the matching each other move-for-move. Styles attempted the Styles Clash, but Moore reversed it and ended up locking Styles in a inverted sharpshooter. Styles struggled but was able to get to the ropes to break the hold. The two men continued their way, bounding around the arena in an endless fashion. Styles planted Moore to the mat with a sick neckbreaker and then climbed to the top rope for the Styles Clash, slipping as he reached the top, but regaining his composure rather quickly. He leaped off for the Shooting Styles Press, but Moore moved out of the way. As AJ splattered on the mat, Moore quickly grabbed him and planted him to the mat with a Michinoku Driver for the surprising pinfall victory. Moore left to the back almost as quickly as he gained the pinfall so as to not allow AJ to retaliate. (13:23)
Winner: Shannon Moore
Backstage, Coach interviews Osama Rodriguez and La Familia. Osama describes that they will be paying very special attention to the next match-up; they were screwed out of the Tag Team Titles before and they intend to defeat whoever wins this next match.
FCW World Tag team Championship
New Age Punishment (c) defend vs. the Hooliganz
Before the next match begins, HBK cuts a short promo, ripping off his t-shirt as he accepts Jay Roclass's challenge to a match at next week's King of the Ring! New Age Punishment makes their way to the ring to a mixed reaction, as Joe immediately takes it to Paul London when they enter the ring. These two teams battled out, Joe using his power while all four men tried to match each other's speed. This match had an increasingly too-common dusty finish as referee Joe Hansen ran to the ring and started distracting referee Will Nyquist, explaining that he got the call wrong and this match should not be happening. Just then, Jay Roclass climbed from under the ring and attacked Shawn Michaels with a chair! He then nailed Spanky and finally Paul London, who was climbing up on the top rope to hit Jay Lethal with the London Calling. Joe climbed over and grabbed London off the top rope, planting him to the mat with the Muscle Buster as Jay Roclass ran away through the crowd. Referee Hansen dropped off the apron allowing Nyquist to turn around and count the pinfall for a victory for New Age Punishment. (9:46)
Winners and STILL FCW World Tag Team Champions: New Age Punishment
Backstage, Shane McMahon, carrying the FCW Women's title on his way to the ring, catches up with Jay Roclass. Shane warns Roclass that he will be fined for his actions, but says that it is obviously not sinking in enough. He can't suspend Roclass because Michaels has already accepted his challenge, so instead he will make the match one in which no one can interfere: a steel cage match! Roclass walks away upset, but Shane calls after him to announce one more condition: Shane himself will be the referee!
FCW Women's Championship | Battle Royal
Shelly Martinez vs. Candice Michelle vs. Daizee Haze vs. Allison Wonderland vs.
Lizzy Valentine vs. Christy Hemme vs. Beth Givens vs. Lacey
At ringside, senior referee Will Nyquist is trashing Joe Hansen for what happened in the last match during the ladies' entrances. While this match had a few exciting moves, it was basically just a battle royal and nothing too spectacular to talk about. Here's the order of elimination: 1.) Christy Hemme by Lacey; 2.) Beth Givens by Lacey; 3.) Allison Wonderland by Candice; 4.) Lizzy Valentine by Shelly; 5.) Lacey by Daizee Haze; 6.) Daizee Haze by herself; 7.) As Daizee hit Lacey with a hurricanrana off the top rope to the outside, she eliminated both of them leaving it to just Shelly and Candice as the final two of the bout. Candice thought she had thrown Shelly out, but she flipped herself back over the ropes and into the ring. She snuck up behind Candice, unclipping her bra (that's what she gets for only wrestling in that!) Candice grabbed her chest to hold her bra up and keep herself covered, allowing Shelly to easily toss Candice over the top rope for the victory. Candice grabbed her robe and ran to the back, shocked and disgusted by what Shelly went to to pick up the victory. Referee Will Nyquist handed Shelly the belt as she celebrated in the ring as the first woman to ever hold a championship in FCW. (14:57)
Winner and NEW FCW Women's Champion: Shelly Martinez
Backstage, Randy Orton confronts Batista, who is sitting in front of his locker with the cold, distant look we have seen on his face for the past few weeks.
Orton: "Dave, I might not see you again until after your match, so I just want you to remember that.. if you don't take the fall for Shelton Benjamin, every one around the world will know what you did. And frankly, knowing what happened, I can't imagine anything being worse."
Batista glares at Orton as he steps out of the locker room
Special Challenge Match
C.M. Punk vs. Randy Orton
C.M. Punk makes his way to the ring first to a huge pop, followed by Orton who gets the biggest heel heat of the evening. Punk and Orton battled it out in a rather fierce battle as their rivalry, like many others tonight, was short-lived but enough to get both men in a state of bringing pain to the other man. After trading the advantage back and forth throughout, C.M. Punk was holding control of Orton, hitting his series of slaps in the corner, followed by the knee and the bulldog, before setting Orton up for the Go 2 Sleep. Orton struggled out of Punk's grip and surprisingly reversed it into the RKO! Orton quickly rolled up Punk for the pinfall victory, leaving almost as fast before Punk could get back up. Orton celebrated smugly as he left to the back, picking up a victory over a former FCW World Champion. (9:53)
Winner: Randy Orton
A short video vignette played about the friendship turned to feud between Shane Helms and Austin Aries.
FCW Cruiserweight Championship
"The Show" Shane Helms defends vs. Austin Aries
This was one of the more exciting matches of the night as the two rivals flew around the ring to try and gain or retain the FCW Cruiserweight title. Aries made his way to the ring first to a mixed reaction, followed by Helms who received a pretty large pop. This match had a perfect mix of quick technical wrestling and spots, as both men showed off their large arsenal of moves. It did not appear that either man would be able to pick up the win using their signature moves, as their opponent and former friend had them scouted well and knew a counter for each of their finishers. It would seem likely that they would ahve to pick up the victory through unlikely means, and that would prove to be true as Shane Helms reversed a brainbuster attempt by Aries into a school boy for the pinfall victory! (15:29)
Winner and STILL FCW Cruiserweight Champion: Shane Helms
After the match, Austin Aries grabbed a microphone and stopped Helms' celebration.
Austin: "Shane, ya know what... I want to apologize for all of this. It's my fault. You know, I think jealousy and greed might have blurred my vision a bit and that's why I attacked you. You see, I just want to be Cruiserweight Champion. You know, I feel so bad about all of this. I didn't deserve... I didn't deserve... to lose this match."
Aries then turns and smacks Helms on the side of the head with the microphone. He lifts him up and plants him to the mat with the brainbuster. He then climbs to the top rope and lands on Helms with the 450 Splash. He grabs the Cruiserweight title and leaves to the back celebrating.
Backstage, Eric Bischoff enters Dusty Rhodes' office and drops a bombshell of an announcement.
Eric: "Dusty, you need to take better care of your superstar's contracts, bcause I just found out one of them was not signed to an exclusive deal with Fallout and he has now become the exclusive property of FCW Club Hardcore!
Brent and Mick run down what happened last week that spawned the next match to take place tonight.
FCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship
Shelton Benjamin (c) defends vs. Batista
Shelton Benjamin makes his way to the ring with a smug grin, knowing he likely has this match wrapped up already. Batista makes his way to the ring next, continuing to look somber and defeated. He stands in the ring across from Shelton as the referee rings the bell. There is a pause before either man does anything, and Shelton commands Batista to lay down. Batista just stares at the ground.
Suddenly, the tron lights up with the sounds of a film reel. An announcer says "the following film has been Rated R." A black and white tape of the backstage area begins reeling as Eric Bischoff talks to Randy Orton. "So, what exactly do you have on Batista? We all know he's not gonna lay down so everybody's going to find out in a few minutes anyways, why don't you give me a sneak peek?" Randy Orton scoffs, and explains that he has "Nothing... I just made it all up. It seemed a little fishy to me, so I tried something out and apparently, it worked. I have no idea what he did, but he apparently did something." Eric Bischoff can't believe him at first, but Orton assures him it's true. The two men start laughing as the camera fades to black.
Batista stands in the ring across from Shelton as a smile appears across his face. Shelton turns around and sees Batista staring him down with an evil grin on his face. Benjamin shakes his head, but it is to no avail. Batista grabs him and plants him to the mat with a spinebuster. A series of clotheslines later, Batista drops Benjamin to the mat with the Batista Bomb for the pinfall victory. Batista grabs the U.S. Championship and celebrates as the new champion. (5:23)
Winner and NEW FCW U.S. Heavyweight Champion: Batista
Joey and Tazz return to commentating duties, running down the KOTR brackets, set to include Sabu vs. Elijah Burke, Hernandez vs. Jericho, Roderick Strong vs. Matt Hardy, and Brent Albright vs. the winner of the upcoming match between Paul Burchill and The Prototype.
Coach catches up with Batista as he reaches the backstage area. Batista says that some things are simply better left unsaid.
FCW King of the Ring Qualifying Match
Paul Burchill vs. The Prototype
While this was a pretty interesting match between two more new-found rivals and former partners, it was not thelongest match and really did not leave the best taste in anyone's mouth. Burchill made his way to the ring without Christy, followed by the Prototype. While both men tried to maintain their singles undefeated streak, neither would prove all too difficult to put down as they both earned several near-falls and false finishes, planting their opponents to the mat with several powerful moves. This trend would continue as we came to the end of the match. Prototype was in control, setting up Burchill for the Death Valley Driver, but Burchill reversed and planted him to the mat with a stiff DDT. He then pulled him up and planted him again with the C-4. Burchill then rolled up Proto for the pinfall victory, qualifying for the KOTR tournament and effectively ending Prototype's undefeated streak. (10:22)
Winner: Paul Burchill
Eric Bischoff makes his way out on the stage and congratulates the newest member of the FCW Club Hardcore roster, Paul Burchill.
A vignette highlighting JBL's Hardcore Heavyweight Championship reigns and the matches he has fought airs.
FCW Hardcore Heavyweight Championship
J.B.L. defends vs. Rob Van Dam
This was the first match of the night to truly take advantage of FCW Club Hardcore's CH Rules as these two broke out every weapon under the ring from tables to chairs to even a barbwire board. JBL made his way to the ring first to huge heat, followed by his challenger, RVD, who received a rather large pop. These two had a fierce battle throughout the ringside area that ended with a series of two huge spots. As JBL brought the barbwire board into the ring, RVD appeared to be in danger on the mat, but he hit JBL with a leg sweep and the "Wrestling God" stumbled back into the corner, falling against the table with the board resting on his lap. RVD quickly climbed up to the top rope across from JBL and signalled that he would be attempting the Van Terminator. He leaped, but JBL moved at the last second and RVD crashed straight through the table. JBL slowly rolled over and attempted the pinfall, but RVD was just barely able to kick out. JBL sent his rival to the ropes and attempted the Clothesline from Hell, but RVD ducked and then nailed JBL with a Van Daminator. The champ stumbled back and landed on the barbwire board! RVD then climbed to the top rope, a bit gingerly after the failed Van Terminator, but ended up hitting JBL with the Five Star Frog Splash for the pinfall victory! We have a new Hardcore Heavyweight Champion! (18:34)
Winner and NEW FCW Hardcore Heavyweight Champion: Rob Van Dam
After a brief celebration, RVD returned to the back. A vignette highlighting the short but full feud between the three men in our main event airs, and JBL was being helped to the back by the referee before the superstars made their way to the ring for our next and final match of the evening.
Main Event | FCW World Heavyweight Championship | Triple Threat
Jeff Hardy defends vs. The Big Show vs. Charlie Haas
This was one hell of a battle to end the show, defintiely sending the fans home happy. Charlie Haas made his way to the ring to a mixed reaction, followed by Big Show who received heel heat, and lastly, the champion, Jeff Hardy, who received a huge pop. Charlie Haas convinced Big Show to double-team Jeff Hardy with him. but ended up making Big Show do most of the work while Haas merely cheered him on. Big Show became advised to this and ended up clotheslining Haas from the ring. Big Show then tore apart the Club Hardcore announce table and set up Haas for a chokeslam through it, but Jeff Hardy leapt over the top rope and nailed Big Show basically with a "Fame-asser" in mid-air, sending Show through the table. Haas and Hardy began battlign it out in the ring while Show lay motionless in the ring. This became a somewhat technical battle as Jeff Hardy surprised fans with his chain-wrestling abilities against Haas. During Big Show's destruction of the announce position, a chair got caught on the ring post. Jeff Hardy attempted the Poetry in Motion on Haas in that corner, but he pulled the chair into the ring and Jeff smacked hard into it instead of Haas. Haas threw the chair from the ring and locked Hardy in the Haas of Pain; what he didn't realize was that Big Show was back to his feet on the outside. He climbed in the ring and grabbed Haas by the throat. He pulled Haas to his feet which also pulled Jeff Hardy up due to the lock of the submission. Haas released the hold and Big Show planted him to the mat with a chokeslam. Jeff Hardy then knocked Big Show out of the ring. He leaped to the top rope and nailed Charlie Haas with the Swanton Bomb for the pinfall victory. Big Show, distraught, climbed back into the ring and chased Jeff Hardy out. He stared him down as Hardy walked away with his belt. (20:12)
Winner and STILL FCW World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Hardy
Joey Styles and Tazz thank everyone for watching, reminding everyone that the King of the Ring tournament will take place next week on FCW TV as the show faded to a close.
~ Fade out.
