I wasn't expecting that. Thank God Saints Row 2 isn't better in storytelling than it is in gameplay or else I'd be pissed. That one mission with SPOILER Carlos being dragged by a Brotherhood car is pretty ing nasty. I take back what I said about bad storytelling. Watch what happens when you finish the Samedi missions.

Who's up for just ing around this weekend? I think the max number of people is 12 according to the box, so maybe we could just fool around with cheats and stuff. I had some fun turning on evil cars and low grav and seeing my friends fly almost across an island. :>

Written by me for another site. TheVideoGameForumsPublished by: THQ Developed by: Volition Genre: Action Number of Players: 1-12
Available On: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC..::GRAPHICS::..Saint's Row 2 isn't nearly as polished as (and you'll be hearing it compared to this game alot) Grand Theft Auto 4, but it's also not trying to be. The game is, however, a lot more smoother looking and running than the original Saints Row. Character models are very well designed in this game, especially facial expressions and gestures. Right at the beginning of the game you get to fully customize your character, and when I say fully customize I mean FULLY. The littlest most finest details that most people won't even bother with can be altered to however you like. One thing that still hampers this sequel is the quite frequent pop-ins and drop outs of vehicles and buildings that you'll see in the distance. == 8.0/10 ==..::SOUND::..The quality they put into the voice talent is really nice, with all of it sounding very professional and believable. When creating your character you are even given 6 different options as to what voice you want your character to have, so the developers really went out of their way to get some variation in voice talent. The soundtrack in this game is top notch as well with plenty of variety for everyone to find something that they enjoy. Stations designed for specific genres like techno, metal, pop, underground, 80's, and even classical music. There's more stations on top of those as well. Another nice option is to buy music with your in-game currency and put it into a playlist so that all the songs you like from various stations will be played. == 9.5/10 ==..::REPLAY VALUE::..In my opinion, the replay value is much higher than both the previous Saints Row and bigger brother Grand Theft Auto 4. As of my writing this, I haven't even touched the multiplayer yet. However, without even putting that into the equation there's still so much to do in the city of Stilwater to keep you coming back for while even after completion. There's multiple activities to play through here, and if you're familiar with the first Saints Row then you're sure to recognize a few old ones mixed in with some fun new ones. Activities such as: FUZZ, which is the games version of a hilarious show of COPS. Fight Club, which like it sounds consists of you fighting opponents in a cage. And Insurance Fraud, where you'll do whatever it takes to inflict pain on yourself in order to collect the insurance. Again, this is just to name a few. There are many missions that'll be quite memorable. So you'll be destined to play through a second time if you really like the game. On the other hand, if there's just a handful of missions you really enjoyed the game allows you to replay specific missions over again. == 9.2/10 ==..::GAMEPLAY::..Gunplay in Saints Row 2 doesn't include any sort of lock-on feature so everything is free aim, which has it's own positives and negatives depending on your own preference. Driving in this game is almost identical to the previous game, but with the addition of a Cruise Control that makes it much easier to gun and drive at the same time. One drawback is that this game is easy. Enemies are easy to kill, including bosses if you've got the right equipment and weapons on you at the time. That's not to say that the missions are easy, but they're nothing that's going to keep you from passing them with a few tries. == 9.0/10 ==..::CLOSING COMMENTS::..This is a great game in a lot of aspects. What really hurts the game though, is the final product that is given out. The game shipped out as a broken product, with the game locking up multiple times in just my first playthrough. If it weren't for the autosave feature saving the game after every mission I would have been using the disc as a frisbee by now. I can recall it freezing at least six times. Six times; that's a ridiculous amount of times that I have to get up and physically turn off the console because of the game locking up. Aside from that, this is a really fun game. It has it's flaws, but for the most part they don't detract from the gameplay. It'll leave you playing through missions and completing activities one after the other and still wanting more. It's got a decent story that includes a few details from the first game, but for first time players you can easily pick up this game and not be out of the loop. ..::OVERALL RATING::.. 8.0/10

I dont get why people praise the game so much and give everything high marks except for the overall mark.

I dont get why people praise the game so much and give everything high marks except for the overall mark. Because the overall rating isn't always an average of the other parts. I'm really liking the Sons of Samedi missions. Bad Trip was a blast, albeit a frustrating one.

Watch what happens when you finish the Samedi missions. ? What's so special? I didn't see anything super cool. I was sad Carlos died and you killed him. Dude, spoilers. That's so gay, I haven't got anywhere near that far. Got over 50% of hoods, done all the Ronin missions The way the kid dies in the coffin is sick, and not in a good way, just under half the Samedi missions and a few brotherhood missions. Done most of the septic activities, and all of one of the star bodyguard ones.

The mele (sp) weapons in this game look like so much fun, especially the chainsaw and samurai sword. Also, the customization looks awesome. I cant wait to play it.

The way Carlos dies is ing sad. I felt burying the Japanese kid in the coffin was a bit harsh, even after what he did to Aisha, but the Brotherhood deserve it. Killing the blokes girlfriend will be the start, I hope I get to ing destroy that guy.
