I got back into this game on the weekend. No matter how many times I do it, blowing off someone's limb is damn fun

Don't worry about Fawkes, you'll meet him sooner or later (you'll have no choice) during the main quests. Minor spoiler: The main quest requires you to go to Vault 87. You don't need much, just good karma. I'm having fun with the Experimental MIRV, though I wish I could make an explosion as big as the one in Megaton was. :< Yep, just got to that. I've seen you guys talking about how to do strictly business with good karma, how do you do that? Oh, and, is Tenpenny Tower closer to Vault 106 or the RobCo Facility?

Well, either way you're going to lose karma somewhat. The only 'good' way to start the quest is to kill all the slavers, so unless you've got some good weaponry you won't be able to start it. They're tough. I did what was required to start the quest (enslaved one person) and I lost a bit of karma, but you can always get it back at the end of the quest, no matter what you do you'll get good karma in the end, just make sure you don't enslave too many people.

I put about 70 hours into my game. I keep on finding spots where I say 'meh, that'll be on my next playthrough', so I'm sure I'll have good reason to start over. I have 6 bobbleheads, the strength, medical, science, speech, barter and perception ones. I'm going to try and get them all tonight. Also, since you killed all the slavers, you won't be able to do the Strictly Business quest. I only did it for an achievement, but it was enough to bring me from Very Good karma to Neutral Karma. Thank God for the Lawbringer perk, I got back to Good. I did. . . as soon as I opened the childrens pen and talked to the little black girl I was given the Strictly Biz quest. . . she told me she was going outside and that I should stop and talk to her when I get done in P. Falls. . . when I talked to her outside she said she was going back to Little Lamp Light, and the quest was completed. I missrepresented myself. You are correct. I lost "Strictly Business", but I gained back the saving of the Little Lamp Light kids, which I had lost b/c I used a speech challenge to gain entry instead of rescuing them. So yes, I didn't do Strictly Business, but I didn't care to. . . . . something about this game makes me play it as morally corect as possible.

I'm having a hard time maintaining bad karma. For some reason I feel bad. I should probably start killing random people more often. :>

If you get rid of the ghoul problem in Tenpenny tower, does that give good or bad karma? I'm guessing good, but I'm just asking.

For every quest, there's always a good/bad solution, it may just take some digging to find them both. Sometimes one of the choices won't seem too "good", but it'll give you good karma so whatever.

Helping them enter Tenpenny Tower gives you good karma. If you decide to eliminate the problem (killing all the ghouls near Tenpenny Tower), you'll get bad karma. I'm sure if you do as Roy Philips says and let a bunch of Feral Ghouls run wild on Tenpenny Tower you're bound to get bad karma. I've only tried two of the latter though.

I killed Roy Phillips before I even found out he was invloved in a mission. Lol. Then after got my suite for blowing up Megaton and killed everyone in Tenpenny only to find out that I should go talk to him. LOL. There are alot of goodys insde and almost no security inside. Pretty easy stuff. I love being evil. Muwahaha.

Being evil is pretty sweet. Before blowing up megaton I need to recruit Jericho though, but I don't have enough caps yet. Also I need to find a way to get the strength bobblehead. Slaving is pretty nice though, 250 a slave is plenty. Don't even bother getting Jericho. He suck's and die's WAY too much. Instead, try and get Clover from PF. You need bad karma but since you're trying to get Jericho, that shouldn't be a problem.

I tried getting Jericho but I accidentlly(not really) threw a frag at two people at the children of the atom and the entire town started attacking me.He was one of the people who got his head blown off. But the game froze when I was killing people outside so alot of people I killed were still alive but the ones in the children were dead. But it was acknowledged by Lucas that I did it. Jericho wa lost forever. .

Just seems so interesting.

You need to have an interest in the general concept of Fallout to really like it as much as we do. If you like the concept of exploring America after an atomic bomb, and are intrigued by finding every little detail that resembles the real-life counterpart, you'll probably love this game.
To me, the ton of cultural references is enough to keep me hooked.

That kind of what it is, Pulse. The fact that there is alot to do in the game has me interested. I've never played a game that has like side quests and stuff, and that's all I'm hearing about this game. "The story is good," but the side quests this, side quests that, ya know?
The whole thing has my attention.

I have to say that the Tranquility Lane quest alone makes Fallout 3 worth getting.

Yeah. That came completely out of left field for me, and after I did it I just reloaded a checkpoint to see how else it could play out. Man I wanted to be able to shoot that bitch.
