Hey,
In my last post, I had said that there aren't very many people on the Raw roster that John Cena hasn't wrestled or defeated and Rob Van Dam came to mind.
I know they wrestled against each other, but I don't believe Cena has ever beat RVD, has he?? He might have and I've just forgotten all about it. Who knows??
Anyway, back on topic. When RVD came to mind, it reminded me of all the great matches he put on and how over he was with the fans & everything and how much his presence is missed.
Granted, he wasn't the greatest wrestler around, but he wasn't the worst either. He was entertaining and over with the crowd.
I miss seeing his 5-star Frog Splash and I miss hearing his great "One Of a Kind" entrance theme.
Bottom line, I would definitely like to see Rob Van Dam back in the WWE at some point and let's hope it's sooner than later.
While C.M. Punk was World champion, I kept thinking to myself how great a Punk/RVD feud would be over the belt. The matches they could've put on would've been incredible.
They would've probably rivaled the Jerry Lynn/RVD matches from ECW. Now, those matches were awesome or at least I thought so anyway.
What has RVD been up to since he's been away from wrestling?? Just relaxing and enjoying life or what??
I'm sure he misses the action and excitement and I'm sure he wouldn't mind earning some extra cash along the way.
I'm also sure that if it's right for business and the timing is right, Vince will bring back or at least try to bring back anyone and RVD has got to be on his list.
Dammit, I just realized something huge. I just realized where The Royal Rumble will be next year and that's in Detroit, Michigan at The Joe Louis Arena.
Well, refresh my memory, but doesn't Rob Van Dam call Battlecreek, Michigan home??
I am going to go out on a limb and say that Rob Van Dam will be a surprise entrant into The Royal Rumble and win the whole ing thing!!
The timing is right...The event is right for a surprise return..The place couldn't be more right with it being in Detroit...Everything is right for a possible RVD return..
What do you guys think?? Do you think it's a possibility or not?? Or is it all just wishful thinking??
