If you're 16 you haven't lived enough life to appreciate the humor. Where is Donnie Darko on that list?! Start digging.

If you're 16 you haven't lived enough life to appreciate the humor. Where is Donnie Darko on that list?! He had to leave it off the list so it didn't seem like he's just liking what everyone else tells him to like. It'd be too obvious.

Well Batman Returns just makes his dislike for a good movie understandable.

I love comedies. I think this movie was pretty good, maybe like a rating of a B. I loved it when I saw it in theaters, but I didn't think as much of it once I saw Superbad. But it was still a really good movie. And you really need to watch more than 30 minutes of a movie to judge it.

i think you need to watch it again...
the scenes when they are in Vegas are absolute Gold...Paul Rudd is so f**kin bad ass in this too...the club scene when they get rejected is amazing too...
its just a really good film overall...give it another chance and watch again...

Knocked Up is probably my favorite comedy right now. I think it's hilarious, and I actually see me and my friends in both the characters and in the dialogue. Knocked Up is my favorite Judd movie, and it made me a big fan of Seth Rogen.

I never found any real humour behind the whole move but some bits were quite good.

This thread reminds me that I've only seen the movie once. I really should watch it again.

Exactly. You probably aren't old enough to appreciate a lot of the humor. I'm 16, I understand the jokes, its just its not as funny as its suppsoed to be, everyone talks like its a Must See film, but really, off the top of my head, heres wat I would class Must See Movies; Fight Club The Dark Knight Die Hard Se7en L.A Confidential The Usual Suspects Resivour Dogs Batman Returns The Punisher Now, how many of them are in the top, what 10 of the year they came out, most of them, maybe not Punisher, I just like the violence ;D But hey, I love comedys, hell, I'm somewhat of a comedian at school, and have been told that I could be a comidian a good few times You love comedy, but not one comedy made the top ten? I say you're going to have to be older to enjoy the comedy. Maybe you don't have friends and hang out with people who have the same personalities that you can relate each character to It's your loss, I figure you made this topic for attention anyway. Who posts about a movie 30 minutes into it saying the didn't like it? You must have HATED Batman Begins...as nothing really happened in the beginning and it was just serious story

Knocked Up is far from a teen comedy, and thats why people enjoy it so much. It took a leap of faith in that its a raunchy movie about a (usually) sacred time in a woman's life - pregnancy. It was something fresh and different, but I will admit it may not grow on you the first time around.
The first time I watched it, I will admit, I wasn't a huge fan of it. I think I failed to see some of the humor and concentrated on the story only. The second time around I enjoyed it much more, and I just recently watched it for a third time and it only became funnier.
Not to mention it has a better story than most comedies coming out in the last few years.

I'm also surprised that you didn't say Superbad was better.

I didn't like it the first time I saw it because I was expecting something else while watching it... so I was like whatever with it. But then I just happened to watch it again when it was on HBO and it was hilarious. The humor in that movie is so clever but it also has d*** and fart kind of humor as well which is what I think makes it such a great comedy. Then on top of it all you have a great story. Something I think every 18+ guy can relate to. My favorite part is the Vegas scene. F***ing hilarious. Same here, I found it way funnier the second time around. I actually watched it for a third time last night.

I just don't think any 16 year old would be able to enjoy it as much as someone else who is older would
