I love that you're using the Comic Sans font for SmackDown, it's really original. Seemed like a good fatal-4-way to kick off SmackDown, those style of matches are always very good and nice. Glad that Hurricane Helms won and I hope to see him go on to win the WWE United States Championship since Shelton Benjamin's reign is tiresome. Good tag team match, it'd be a nice match but it's happened several times before, I also wish you'd make The Miz and John Morrison exclusively on RAW and ECW being that they're World Tag Team Champions on a show already with the WWE Tag Team Champions on. Carlito beating TJ Wilson is fine, I hope we see new WWE Tag Team Champions in the future too, I'd love it if you'd bring back Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins as a credible tag team. Natalya and Victoria picking up the win over the Bella Twins I like. The Bellas are horribly overrated in my mind, maybe a push for Victoria and Natalya? Vladimir Koslov vs. Great Khali would of been terrible, but Koslov winning by disqualification is fine I suppose. Matt Hardy running in to cause it...hmm. Shelton Benjamin beating The Undertaker is a huge suprise and an upset at that. Woah, nice little spot with the Urn appearing, Paul Bearer returning?

Smackdown was a really good show; like always. The opening four way match was really good, and I love every participant in the match. Personally, I could of cared less about who won. As long as it was a good match, I'm fine. The tag team match was great. And I'm liking the use of not only Miz/Morrison, but also Jesse & Festus. Feud, please. Carlito/Primo was also a good match, and I love this feud you have going on here. A great match, and I liked the finish. As for the main event, it was ok, but I was expecting it to be a little better. Overall, I'd say it was a good show. Excellently written, and I love reading this diary. The Royal Rumble card looks great, btw. Keep it up, man.

January 5th, 2009 Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky
We start the show with a video showing clips of John “Bradshaw” Layfield announcing that he bought Shawn Michaels’ World Title shot from him and will be facing Cena at the Royal Rumble. It then shows clips of the main event tag team match and the aftermath, with JBL taking out Cena with a few chair shots.
We are welcomed to Kentucky by Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole. They tell us of tonight’s main event, which features World Champion John Cena in a situation that isn’t good for him as he takes on John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Shawn Michaels in a handicap match.
The show kicks off officially with Legacy making their way to the ring. Orton gets on the microphone and says that he feels as if he failed last week. He failed because he said he was going to punt his opponents and maybe even punt his teammate. But somebody got in the way of his plans. That somebody was Batista. A man who has been a thorn in Legacy’s side since they formed. Tonight, they plan on getting rid of Batista, once and for all. At this point Batista makes his way to the ring. He says that if Legacy wants some of him, all they had to do was ask. Orton says fine, and tells Batista to find a partner tonight to take on himself & Cody Rhodes. Batista happily agrees as we go to commercial.
Commercial Break.
Women’s Title Match Beth Phoenix (c) w/ Santino Marella vs. Melina
This was your basic women’s match. Went about 6 minutes with some decent back and forth action. Beth dominated at some points but Melina would not stay down. She came firing back with some stiff shots and went for her finisher but Beth got out of it and floored Melina with a club to the back. She picked her up for the Glam Slam but Melina rolled forward and into a pin for the 1-2-3.
Winner and NEW Women’s Champion: Melina
The crowd goes crazy after the match as Beth looked on in horror as Melina walked away with the Women’s Title.
In the back, Stephanie McMahon is seen smiling as she watches on a monitor when Katie Lea & Paul Burchill walk into her office. Stephanie says that was one hell of a Women’s Title match and Katie Lea says that right now she doesn’t care about that. She does want a shot at that Women’s Title, but right now she wants to know when will her brother get the respect he deserves and be granted a title shot. Stephanie agrees, saying that Paul has been dominating lately and she would give him an Intercontinental Title shot but CM Punk is already the number one contender so Paul will just have to keep dominating until he becomes the number one contender. Paul says, don’t worry, he plans on continuing his dominance.
Commercial Break.
In the back, Beth Phoenix is livid about losing her title. Santino tells her not to worry, that she’ll get her rematch and win it back. He says that tonight, her focus should be on accompanying him to his match. She looks at him upset, standing behind him, and he says come on, let’s go as he leaves with Beth still looking pissed.
Singles Match Paul Burchill w/Katie Lea Burchill vs. Val Venis
Burchill once again dominated. He nailed some big offensive moves like a shoulder breaker, nothern lights suplex, and overhead belly to belly suplex. Venis tried to make a comback when he hit a Russian Leg Sweep. He went to the top to hit the Money Shot but Burchill got up and slammed him off the top. Burchill stood over him and ended it with the Curb Stomp.
Winner: Paul Burchill
Batista is shown backstage, apparently trying to find a tag team partner for tonight as he’s looking into different locker rooms. He opens one and says “I’ve been looking for you, my match is up next.”
Commercial Break.
John Cena’s music hits as he comes to ring. He gets on the microphone and says that he arrived at the arena tonight and finds out that he’s been booked in a handicap match against JBL and Shawn Michaels. He mentions as always, that he’s not going to cry and moan that this is unfair but that he’s going to go in there tonight and bring the fight to his opponents. Shawn Michaels’ music hits and he comes out. HBK says that he doesn’t want to be in the handicap match but he was put into it by JBL. Cena tries to convince Michaels not to allow JBL to control him, and that there’s a bunch of people who would help him if he needed it financially. At this point, JBL comes from behind Cena and lays him out with a steel chair for the second week in a row. JBL holds up the World Championship. Behind his back, Michaels picks up the chair and looks as if he’s going to hit JBL, but he drops the chair and leaves the ring upset.
Commercial Break.
Tag Team Match Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton w/Manu vs. Batista & A Mystery Partner
Batista announces his mystery partner as his former WWE Tag Team Champion partner, Rey Mysterio! The match was very good as Mysterio seemed to want a little revenge for Rhodes beating him on Raw a few weeks back. As you would expect, Orton and Rhodes did damage on Mysterio, trying to keep their smaller opponent in the ring. They worked over his leg for most of the match. Rhodes tagged in Orton who stomped on various parts of Mysterio’s body. Orton picked him up and threw him to the ropes, Mysterio duckd a clothesline on his way back. Orton ran at him but Mysterio hit him with a drop toe hold and Orton landed in 619 position. Rey went to his it but his leg gave out. Rey crawled over and made the tag to Batista and Orton tagged Rhodes. Batista cleaned house taking down Rhodes with a spinebuster, Orton with a huge clothesline and when Manu tried to jump in, he also got a spinebuster for his troubles. Batista was on fire, but Mike Knox came down to ringside and grabbed Mysterio and hit him with the Knox Out on the outside. Batista noticed this and began to scream at Knox, which allowed Orton to turn around a distracted Batista and nail him with an RKO. Orton dragged the legal man, Rhodes, toward Batista and put his arm over him for the three count.
Winners: Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton
Commercial Break.
As we come back from commercial, Batista is seen helping Rey Mysterio backstage. Batista stops, looks into the camera and says that he wants some of Mike Knox next week, for hurting his friend. He also mentions that he’s far from done with Legacy.
Singles Match Jamie Noble w/ Kelly Kelly vs. Santino Marella w/ Beth Phoenix
Santino was up to his usual antics before the match, saying that he was dating the best female in the WWE and that Kelly Kelly…Kelly and her boyfriend were no match for the team of Glamarella. During the match though, Noble showed that he was easily the better wrestler. He out worked Santino in this match and eventually ended it when he made Santino tap to his Cross Armbar.
Winner: Jamie Noble
Post match, Noble and Kelly celebrated in the ring, when we cut to the back to see Mickie James and Candice Michelle congratulating Melina on her title victory. This was shown on the titantron, so Beth Phoenix saw this. She ran in and low blowed Noble, then grabbed Kelly and hit her with the Glam Slam.
We cut to the back, where CM Punk is walking with Kofi Kingston. They appear to be talking strategy over how to beat William Regal.
Commercial Break.
Non-Title Singles Match Kofi Kingston w/ CM Punk vs. Intercontinental Champion William Regal w/ Layla
Regal had the upper hand early on in this match but kept taunting Punk. He hit Kofi with a suplex and looked at Punk, as if to say, that’s how it’s done. He put Kofi in a headlock and wrenched it while staring at Punk. Kofi got free and sent him into the corner. Kofi ran at him and leapt onto his shoulders and delivered ten punches to his head. For a few minutes Kofi now had the upper hand. He went for his big double leg drop but Regal tripped up Kofi and quickly applied the Regal Stretch in the middle of the ring. Kofi had nowhere to go and eventually was forced to tap out.
Winner: Intercontinental Champion William Regal
After the match, CM Punk got in the ring to check on Kofi. Regal was leaving the ring, but noticed Punk there, turned around and nailed Punk in the back of the head with the Intercontinental Title.
Stephanie McMahon is seen backstage when Chris Jericho walks in. He says that he’s sort of been flying a little under the radar as of late on RAW. Batista & Randy Orton seem to hate each other, while JBL & HBK have their problems. He figures that should leave John Cena all to him, but instead Cena’s thrust into a love triangle with JBL and Shawn Michaels. Stephanie tells him that he should have earned his title match. Jericho says that JBL didn’t, but that’s ok with him, because he promises to win the Royal Rumble and take back his title at WrestleMania. He also issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room next week.
Commercial Break.
Handicap Match World Heavyweight Champion John Cena vs. John “Bradshaw” Layfield & Shawn Michaels
JBL played the perfect heel in this match. He had Michaels do most of the work and only tagged in when Cena was down and hurt. This went on for about 8 minutes. At that point, JBL began to work over Cena with some clubs to the back. Cena fought back and nailed him with a shoulder block. JBL tried to get to Michaels, but he jumped off the apron and told JBL to be a man and fight. This led to about 2 minutes of back and forth action between JBL and Cena. Cena picked him up for an FU but JBL got free and tagged Michaels. Michaels didn’t look to happy but began to fight with Cena. JBL ran outside and got a chair and ran in the ring. JBL nailed HBK with the chair, then went to hit Cena with it but Cena ducked and the chair hit the top rope and bounced back into JBL’s face. Cena looked around, picked up the legal man, Michaels, and gave him an FU for the win although he didn’t look too happy about how he got it.
Winner: World Heavyweight Champion John Cena
Cena walked up the ramp with his Title celebrating the victory, while JBL and Shawn Michaels were laid out in the ring as the show went of the air.

I was okay with Melina winning the title. However, this was the same way Mickie won the title earlier in the year. Plus, I wish Santino had cost Beth the title. I like the Santino comment that Beth should be focused on managing him. A Burchill push is okay, but more of a fantasy than realism. I like HBK dropping the chair at the end of that segment. GOod call teamming Batista/Rey, and glad the Orton team won. I like Beth going ballistic after seeing the divas on the tron. Nice way to build towards Punk/Regal. I hope you give Punk a run with the belt as Regal is pretty boring. Surprising finish to the main event, didn't think HBK would get pinned. Overall interesting show as usual.

Awesome to see the start off the show with a title match, nonetheless a title changing hands. Was sweet to see Phoenix pick up Melina for the Glam Slam thinking it would be over but Melina reluctantly rolled through and picked up a Women's championship along the way. Also like the fact you are pushing the JBL Shawn Michaels storyline. Will be interesting to see where you take it. Kind of hoped to see JBL win with a HARD clothesline to hell to Cena Lol but hey can't always get what you want. Cena is the champ and he picked up the win in a good fashion. It makes sense for JBL and Michaels not be a good pairing as HBK doesn't truly want to work for JBL. Also loved the fact Burchill got a squash match over Val Venis. One word for that: Classic! Haha. The classic Venis job. I know I've done it in TEW. Great to see the Legacy win this week. Cool to see Mysterio as Batista's tag partner and for Knox to screw things up which helped in the Legacy's winning and also to continue the Mysterio Knox storyline. Overall very good show!

Nice opening segment with Batista and The Legacy. Good opener with Beth Vs. Melina, and I like that Melina won the Women's title. Hopefully Burchill actually does get a big push. Him squashing Val was perfect. Rey being Batista's mystery partner worked well, and I'm glad that Orton and Rhodes won. Knox's interferance was cool with the angle he has going on with Rey. I wonder who will answer Jericho's open challenge. It would be cool if Jericho wins the Rumble, because it's pretty rare that a heel wins the Royal Rumble. Flair (I think he was a heel at the time) and Vince are the only heels that have won it so far. I figured Cena would win, and it I liked how Shawn kind of rebelled against JBL during the match as well.

RAW was a solid show man. The opening segment worked well, setting up the tag match. I'm mixed on Melina getting the Women's title, it just didn't seem to have any build up. I'm enjoying the Burchill push, hopefully he gets the Intercontinental title shot. I'm enjoying the JBL/ Michaels storyline, and the backstage angle worked well. Knox taking out Mysterio was interesting, and I'm enjoying Knox being part of a big storyline, and its good to see the Legacy getting the win. Kingston/ Regal was a good way to build up to Regal/ Punk, which should be a solid match. Good to see Cena going over, and although I'm not a fan of Cena as champion, I don't like the idea of JBL as champion at all.

January 6th, 2009 Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana
ECW opened with a video package highlighting the events of two weeks ago, Matt Hardy and Finlay defeating Mark Henry & Vladimir Kozlov in tag team action. Then it shows Hardy & Kozlov’s interactions from this past Friday’s Smackdown!
Todd Grisham & Matt Striker welcome us to this week’s edition of ECW. They inform us that tonight, Matt Hardy has something he wants to get off his chest and he’s directing it at Vladimir Kozlov. Also, they remind us that tonight Jack Swagger will take on Ricky Ortiz.
No Count Out Singles Match The Boogeyman vs. DJ Gabriel w/ Alicia Fox
Again, just like two weeks ago, Gabriel looked very unsure of himself in this one. He was scared of the Boogeyman again. Boogeyman got the upper hand with some power moves but Gabriel eventually took over. He was too fast for Boogeyman and this seemed to give him confidence. Just like two weeks ago, he went to the top to deliver his Diving Uppercut and again got slammed to the mat. Boogeyman went over to his corner for worms but this time Alicia Fox got on the apron and argued with the referee. Boogeyman went for her instead of Gabriel, but Fox jumped off the apron. Gabriel got behind Boogeyman and rolled him up for the three count.
Winner: DJ Gabriel
In the back, GM Theodore Long & his assistant Tiffany are shown walking towards the arena.
Commercial Break.
General Manager Teddy Long & Tiffany are in the ring as we return from commercial. Long says that he has an announcement to make. Starting after the Royal Rumble, a tournament will begin, to crown a Television Champion right here in ECW. He announces that it will be an eight man tournament and he will pick the most deserving eight superstars. So far, he has chosen two, and those two are DJ Gabriel & The Boogeyman, who will actually face off in the first round in the tiebreaker of their series of matches. He will announce the final six participants after the Royal Rumble.
Commercial Break.
We are now shown a promo video hyping the Second City Saints. Goldman & Steel talk about growing up in Chicago and how Steel trained Goldman. They say that they plan on taking the Tag Team division by storm, just like how they took the World Tag Team Champions to the limit last week.
Singles Match Jack Swagger vs. Ricky Ortiz
Ortiz seems to fading fast. The crowd doesn’t seem to be rallying behind him the way WWE had hoped. Swagger looked really impressive here hitting a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a tilt-a-whirl slam but only got a two count. Ortiz began to get on the offensive with a big shoulder block. He threw Swagger to the ropes and ducked down as he came back for a back body drop, but Swagger clubbed him in the back. He then picked him up and hit the Red, White, & Blue Thunder Bomb for the win.
Winner: Jack Swagger
We see Mark Henry & Tony Atlas backstage. Henry cut a promo saying that he’s tired of Finlay and that he wants to take him out for good. Next week, right here on ECW, Finlay vs. Mark Henry in a Steel Cage!
Commercial Break.
Singles Match Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer
The ECW Original Tommy Dreamer took it to Elijah Burke and gave him his toughest test yet since he came back. Burke worked on Dreamer’s back throughout the match, knowing of Dreamer’s past back problems. He used a back breaker, then whipped Dreamer into the corner. He went for a superplex but Dreamer fought out of it and knocked him off. Dreamer then hit a splash of the top for a two count. A few more minutes of back and forth action came to an end when Burke threw Dreamer into the corner and nailed the Elijah Express for the win.
Winner: Elijah Burke
Commercial Break.
ECW Champion Matt Hardy makes his way to the ring and gets on the microphone. He says that Vladimir Kozlov seems to have a problem with him. Matt thought it would’ve ended at Armageddon but it hasn’t, so now he calls out Kozlov. Kozlov comes out and gets in the ring. Matt says that since he lost to Vladimir at Armageddon, its only fair to give him a title shot at the Royal Rumble. But since they seem to still have some major issues, he has talked to Teddy Long and their match at the Rumble will now be Extreme Rules. Kozlov goes after Hardy the minute he finishes talking and they begin to rumble. ECW officials come down and try to break them up but they’re still brawling as the show goes off the air.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Your last few shows have all been good and glad I was correct with my prediction of JBL taking HBK's Title shot. Ill comment on ECW for now though. Good win for Gabriel but not too interested in him really maybe with the right push I will. Interesting tournament for the TV Title. Look forward to see who wins it. Not a fan of you putting Gabriel & Boogeyman up against each other again since its not that interesting of a match up. Hopefully Boogeyman gets a win so he doesn't look completely weak in this little feud. Glad you brought in the Second City Saints and I hope they receive a good push and Tag Title reign. Plus maybe a reunion with CM Punk sometime in the future. Glad Ortiz lost and I hope he gets de-pushed completely as he is just crap. Not the biggest Swagger fan but that's mainly because I don't watch ECW anymore. Hopefully you can give him the right push but do not give him the ECW Title for a long while yet as he is nowhere near ready. Hopefully you end the Henry/Finlay feud next week and I hope Finlay can get the win. Good match between Dreamer & Burke. Glad Burke got the win and I hope he receives an ECW Title reign sometime. I am guessing Dreamer is pretty much done with any push he would ever get so I hope he becomes a road agent or something. End segment was a good one and making the match at the Royal Rumble an Extreme rules works really well. I could really see Kozlov becoming champion which will be good to see. The brawl to end worked well and it makes the Matt Hardy character really serious since he has had enough of Kozlov. Overall good show. Royal Rumble is shaping up nicely although that card will look a lot better with some nice looking graphics. One problem though is the layout of the shows. For some reason I am just having a hard trouble reading it but I don't really know what the problem with it is, its weird. Maybe a completely new layout is due soon to help it out a bit. Other than that though this diary is still going great and is one of the better diaries I have seen from a newcomer.

I'm fine with Boogey winning, but something with the worms after would have been good to get the attention off of him losing. Good call to have a TV title, it's def needed at this point. Hope you can find something interesting for Swagger to do. Finlay-Henry in a cage sounds decent. Hopefully Burke gets a push to the ECW Title, or at least the TV Title. Hardy-Kozlov in Extreme Rules sounds good, hope Kozlov takes the belt.

-Reports are saying that the WWE is not very high on Vladimir Kozlov anymore. They feel that his match with Triple H at Survivor Series bombed and his match at Armageddon wasn't too good either. No word on if this will affect his ECW Title match at the Royal Rumble.
-There are a few ideas being tossed around for WrestleMania main events, one including Chris Jericho possibly moving to Smackdown! Nothing is final at this time though.
-Bad news for WWE fans of Christian Cage, earlier today he signed a deal to stay with TNA Wrestling. Terms of the deal were not available to us.
-There is talk of Shawn Michaels retiring before summer. No word on when his final match will be or who it will be against, but the biggest question is who will fill his spot as a face at the top of the RAW card. Names being tossed around include CM Punk, Triple H if he comes back over from Smackdown!, Matt Hardy if he comes over from ECW, or a possibly face turned Chris Jericho.

ECW was a very good overall show. Loved the fact that DJ Gabriel picked up a win over Boogeyman. Don't really like either of them but if someone were to get the push over the other it's nice to see Gabriel get. My favorite part of the show is definitely by far Jack Swagger getting his push. He's one of my favorites along with Tommy Dreamer who is always good to see pop up on the show. The Hardy Kozlov feud is good. Hopefully Kozlov will win the ECW title but I'm sure Hardy will have peace on his side with his extreme rules in tact. I'm on board with this ECW show. Can't wait to read your SD!
