Why is it the 2000's cartoons totally suck. I mean the animation is total crap. Cartoons is the only medium where the quality has went down. In the 80's we had GI Joe, Transformers, Go Bots, Smurfs, so many.
In the 90s was the birth of marvel comics cartoons my personal fav of all time X men. We got cartoons from Spider-man to Animanics
what's the best decade of cartoons?

Batman Spider-Man X-Men Gargoyles Digimon (first season) Dragonball Z also aired here in the 90's first.
90's all the way.

The only cartoon from the 80's I really absolutely love is Transformers, but other than that the 90's had the best cartoons.

The only American animated show I ever really cared about from this era is Avatar. I think it's really well done and it's nice to see not only a cartoon in America with an actually storyline with arcs and continuity, but it's also on Nickelodeon. The only quality animated TV series come out of Japan these days and aren't for kids.
From Nickelodeon shows, to the cartoons to some of the best anime ever, the 90s is the winner. Rocko's Moder Life, Rugrats, Batman, X-Men, Spider-Man, Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Chip & Dale, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, it's all so awesome.
But the 80s and Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Ghostbusters, which almost makes it a winner by default.
Although neither decade houses Speed Racer, which is my favorite cartoon EVER.

How the did I forget Trigun on my list. Best anime ever, imo. Greatest show next to Batman TAS for me.

80s. While the 90s gave us X_men and Spiderman.......the 80s had Spiderman and Friends which was superior to the Fox version. It also gave us Transformers and GI Joe......two of the greatest of all time.

. I hate people like you. "The animation sucks!" Superjail Aqua Teen Hunger Force Tom Goes to the Mayor(mixed media but animated) The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack Chowder Clone High 3 South 12 Oz Mouse American Dad Brak Show Camp Lazlo Clerks the Animated Series Venture Bros Squibillies Metalocalypse Frisky Dingo/X-Tacles Coming Soon: Adventure Time Seriously there's that many good cartoons and "it sucks now"? Grow out of the past. Everyone always thinks everything from their generation is the best. Do you even bother to watch anything new?

80s vs. 90s is always fun....a damn near impossible debate...they're both so great.

Iceman was badass in the show. beats the way Fox portrayed him in the 90s X-Men show. And the fact one was fire and the other was ice.....good stuff. It also gave Spidey more to play off of. The animation was better and so were the voice actors. I have every episode of the show and love it to this day.
