Return of the Chairman January 19, 2009
Monday night marks the return of the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, Mr. McMahon, making his first appearance on WWE programming since his mysterious Million Dollar Mania set accident last June. What impact will Mr. McMahon leave on Raw?
Also taking place Monday night, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and John "Bradshaw" Layfield will make their match this Sunday at the Royal Rumble official as they sign the match contract in front of Chicago and the rest of the WWE Universe. Will cool heads prevail or will this contract signing provide a preview of things to come at the Rumble?
CM Punk and the Intercontinental Champion, William Regal will finally settle their rivalry in one final match for the coveted Championship. Not satisfied with the two DQ finishes in the previous encounters, General Manager Stephanie McMahon let Regal know that this Monday's match will be contested with no Disqualifications. Now, with his hometown crowd behind him, will the Straight-Edge Superstar be able to finally capture his first Intercontinental Championship, or will the 2008 King of the Ring be able to take advantage of the No-DQ rule and retain his title?
Make sure to tune in to the USA Network Monday night at 9/8 CT as Raw makes its final stop before the Royal Rumble at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

Re-hire Jericho, I say.
Although I would prefer to see a re-match of WM 18, between Jericho VS. HHH, if he goes to Smackdown.

Vince's possible "motives": Starting McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania back up(doubt it), a WrestleMania 25 announcement(Likely), his formal retirement(probable), a new championship introduction(doubt it unless its putting together two titles), rubbing salt in Shawn Michaels’ wounds(definite haha), meeting Dolph Ziggler(likely aswell) and joining Randy Orton’s new group(lol)

I've just been thinking about "Mr. McMahons" return to Raw.
Anybody else think it could all be a swerve and Shane could be the one returning instead?
Have Lilian introduce "Mr. McMahon" with Stephanie standing in the ring, only for Shane to come out.

Big Daddy V crushed him and made him look like a jobber back at No Mercy... then Jericho went over him clean at Raw in August when Punk was WHC.

Have Lilian introduce "Mr. McMahon" with Stephanie standing in the ring, only for Shane to come out. I thought about that this morning as well, but I don't think they'd do that after two weeks of Vince hype. If they were going to do that, it most likely would've been condensed to one episode. Much like when Austin walked out in '02, the following week Vince kept getting updates that "he" was coming and "he" was here. Vince assumed that it was Austin but it ended up being The Rock. In this case someone would've told Stephanie at the top of the show that Mr. McMahon was coming back tonight with everyone expecting it to be Vince, but instead it's Shane who comes out at the end of the show.

I don't think Punk will win because it is in his hometown. That is usually a disadvantage in WWE.
I can see McMahon associating himself with The Legacy... it's a longshot but having McMahon and that ref would be interesting.
