Ok I recently found this Video Game store in my state and it sells like old systems and games and even the current stuff. I picked up an Atari 2600 and Sega Saturn and Sega Cd/Genesis.
Now I haven't had a Sega Cd in a long time so I don't know if Im doing something wrong or what. This is how I have it hooked up.
The Genesis is in and on the Sega CD Platfrom. Both Plugs that go into the wall are plugged in. The AV that goes from the TV to the Genesis is in. Thats all the wires that it came with.
So from what I remember all you have to do is put the Sega Cd game in and turn on the Genesis correct?
Well that's what I've been doing and no go. The light doesn't seem to be turing on for the Sega Cd. So does this mean it doesn't work or am I not doing something correctly?

Sega CD seems broke. That is exactly how you are supposed to hook it up.

I think you need another AV cord that goes from the CD to the Genesis

Even without this cable plugged in the light should still come on. Is it the Mega CD 1 or 2 by the way I have the Mega CD2 and even when just the power cable is plugged in the light comes on.

That was for the 32X, the Megadrive had only one port for the Expansions, for the Sega CD there was a plastic slide underneath the console you had to take off, that was the Expansion Bay and thats where the Sega CD Plugs in, you only need another Power Supply for the Sega CD and thats all.
