Vote up people, Would like to know whats your Favorite 3D Fighter for a Project that I am doing ^_^
For me it would be Virtua Fighter, the game that Started it all, Simple Button Layouts with Deep Combo's and Gameplay, It basically gave alot of other Companies Inspiration to make 3D Fighters, Tekken would have to be one of the best Examples of being Inspired by Virtua Fighter, but Tekken introduced Storylines and a Bigger Roster of Characters, but the Gameplay isn't quite up to Virtua Fighter standards in my opinion.

They're all good, but Tekken has my favourite roster of characters in a beat em up.
Soul Calibur is good but can get very hard, saying that, I beat Keres and that's supposed to be impossible.
Virtua Fighter is a tad overrated, even though it started it all.
Mortal Kombat was better in 2D.

I love the Rosters of Characters in Mortal Kombat, the BEST Fighting Game interms of Storylines in my opinion, but MK in 3D was horrible, the Only " Good " 3D MK was Deception and MAYBE Armageddon ( Which is Basically like MK Trilogy with the Deception Game Engine ). MK was better in 2D, Mortal Kombat 2 and Trilogy are Classics, the Graphics still look good today and the Artwork is amazing, I wasn't really a fan of the Gameplay Engine in MK2, but the Storyline and " Feel " to it, and also the Artwork and Graphics are amazing ( For that Time, but I still reckon they are great )

Definately Tekken. It is fast-paced, but it isn't overly simplified, either.

I haven't been able to fully accept MK in 3D. I can play it but I just prefer the 2D days. So with that I went with Dead or Alive. To me, they set the standard with how a 3D fighting game should be made.

Virtua Fighter, Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn specifically. Smash Bros. Melee is my favorite fighter of all-time, though. I'm giving the nod to Virtua Fighter since Smash Bros only has 2 released games so far with the other coming out late this year.

Tekken is my favorite video game series of all time. Great storylines, great animation, great characters, great moves. It's made of pure win. Mortal Kombat and Smash are close seconds though.
EDIT: To be honest, I love most of these series'. I didn't know Bloody Roar was a popular game (well apparently not, no votes)

I voted for Soul Calibur. I've never been a fan of 3D fighting games but Soul Calibur and Tekken are really the only ones I've enjoyed and even more so SC.
