*edit* This heat has gotten really out of hand with bushfires started, homes lost and even deaths (its now 65). This is the worst bushfire disaster we've ever had in the country. ***** ....Australia! For those wondering, its 47 degrees celsius, in fahrenheit its a whopping 117 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!! According to the telegraph which is a newspaper/news outlet here, Australia will be the hottest place on the planet this weekend. Moreso than the middle east, kenya, africa, everywhere. Australia for the past few weeks has had constant overbearing heat and its moving around the country, for those who watch tennis, they know the aus open was affected even. The heats just insane and totally different to the snow received in the UK. Its ballistic here even train tracks can buckle (some have www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,25014131-5011660,00.html ) not to mention bushfires. Pretty crazy eh?

It's going to be in the freezing by 6PM tonight here.
I think in 2005 it went close to that over here. I think it was the hottest the UK has been on record.

The hottest UK record was 38.5, set in August 2003. '05 was pretty bad too but even that was around 35. 47 would probably kill me. I like it just fine at around 5 at the moment.

I must be getting confused, I thought it went up to about 48 I use to dream about being a weatherman, but I've lost touch with it all

Christ on a bike, 48 really would be enough. There's just no escape from high temperatures. If it's cold there's always a way to warm yourself up. Being a weatherman could be fun. Look at the guy on Sky News. He looks permanently drunk and he gets away with it.
