HBK has been one of the longest tenured wrestlers in the WWE. Has gone through a series of gimmicks and I just want to know which of it caught you the most and why?
My personal choice was during his cocky heel Heartbreak Kid days... He was just over-the-top and was doing things and gimmicks others may find too much...

The Heartbreak Kid in the early to mid 90's and his DX days. When I was a kid I even grew my hair to try and look like him. Though it didn't last long when some old woman thought I was a girl.

Late 90's, aswell as his far-too-short-lived heel "run" in Summer 2005.

His '05 heelrun could've and should've been (as awesome as it was) way more than it actually was. he just had this "you're a legend, but so am I" thing about him. That Hogan Larry King spoof was absolutely classic. Him kicking the camera was awesome.
BTW- how would I go about getting a GIF if him kicking into the cam at the end of that segment?.

I love his early 90s heel Heartbreak Kid days, but my favorite era of Shawn Michaels would be from late 1995 through all of 1996 (when he was absolutely on top of his game) as the WWF's top face.
Injuries started piling up for him throughout 1997 and his ego was likely massive at this point, but he could still bring it in the ring against the best of the rest up until his broken back forced him into an early retirement at WrestleMania XIV. His tenure with DX was great and my second favorite era of Shawn Michaels, especially for the matches he put on with 'Taker in late 1997-early 1998.
In other words, I guess you could say his run from late '95 to early '98 was my favorite for HBK's career, but 2008 was a great year for him, too, and more recent years would definitely rank up there for me, as well.

I never saw much of his early 90s HBK work, but i loved him during the original DX days. I also enjoyed him during 2002-2004 and again 2008.

Honestly, my favourite is the current Sad Old Man era. He's the best sympathetic babyface performer in wrestling today.
I loved him during the Boyhood Dream era too, but let's be honest, most of his storylines as WWF champion at that time (apart from the build-up to facing Bret and the "good friends, better enemies" with Diesel... Which then got repeated with Sid) were terrible.

I personally prefer the era when he first won the Royal Rumble and faced Diesel at Wrestlemania. That was great.
