Like how Hart is being the whiny heel about Sting getting another title shot. Didn't really see the point in Riggs winning the opening match. Chavo match made sense due to his stuff with Eddie. Juvi-Psy should be a pretty good match. Like what you have been doing with Raven/Saturn. You seem to know how to use Raven well. Lol at "If he can get through Brian Adams". Utlimo & Kaos matches were meh. Fine squash for Goldberg. Like DDP winning since it was with help. Decent show, just maybe a little too weak name-wise for the matches, even for Thunder.

Sorry, didn't notice you put up new shows. I like the idea of just doing quick results for these shows that aren't as meaningful. Seemed like an overall realistic show of Worldwide. I wish Goldberg was maybe in the main event though. If he is 96-0, then I hope you make his 100th win a good one. Swinger-Lane seemed like it would be a decent "young lions" type match. I wouldn't mind a PE push, they were a good team. Wrath being built into a somewhat credible threat would probably be a good idea. US Title match main event sounded pretty good as well.

WCW Monday Nitro - Monday, 06/08/98- The show kicks off with a Sting video package, last week it was very intense as Sting was stuck in the middle over joining either the nWo Wolfpack or nWo Black and White. - The Monday Nitro video package airs, hyping up the show's beginning. - We are live for tonight's edition of WCW Monday Nitro from the Palace at Auburn Hills, Michigan, as Michael Buffer is in the ring. He begins to introduce the nWo Wolfpack as the announcers briefly run down the next three hours of the program. Their rap music begins to play as Kevin Nash leads out the nWo Wolfpack, consisting of Konnan, Lex Luger and trailing behind them, Sting, dressed in red and black clothes with red facepaint. Prefer the black and white Sting, to be honest. Nash began to cut a promo on the nWo Black and White as he gets the crowd into them, as does Konnan. Lex Luger happily introduces us to their newest member of the Wolfpack, Sting. Sting tells the others that they can happily head off to the backstage area. Sting begins to cut a promo, telling the haters in World Championship Wrestling, all of his former friends who he left for the Wolfpack that he hadn't turned his back on them and it was merely to get it straight that he wanted to make some noise, not only in the nWo Black and White, but WCW as well. Sting promises everybody that last Monday on Nitro was the beginning of a meaner, bigger and badder Sting. Sting then vowed to regain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday live on pay-per-view at the Great American Bash. - Nitro Girls in black leather. - We return to the live Palace at Auburn Hills for WCW Monday Nitro with the theme of Jimmi Hendrix playing as Hollywood Hogan begins to prance his way out to the arena, alongside Eric Bischoff as the two have some fun, entering the ring with a mic in both of their hands as Eric Bischoff did his humorous act of telling the hating audience that they love them too, I always like that bit. Hollywood Hogan taunts the audience as Eric Bischoff continues to brag about how he is the superior owner of a wrestling business, other than a Tri-State hobo and a Greenwich sellout, referring to Paul Heyman with ECW and of course, Vince McMahon in the WWF. Hollywood Hogan is then given the chance to put himself over, announcing that at Great American Bash, Randy Savage will regret teaming with Roddy Piper, putting over that Hogan will make Savage sorry for the past. - We cut to the backstage area where we see Chris Jericho being interviewed by Gene Okerlund as Gene asks Jericho about his feelings on having Juventud Guerrera chosen over him as number one contender to the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship to fight Psychosis at Great American Bash. Jericho says that he doesn't mind as Juvi is an awesome talent, and that he's got bigger plans, starting from tonight when he wins the WCW World Television Championship from Saturn. - Booker T defeated Jerry Flynn in 8:23. This was a fairly decent contest between a possible leader of World Championship Wrestling in the future (Booker T) and Jerry Flynn, who is a mere shoot fighter. I beg of thee, WCW, to create a WCW World Shooting Championship for 1999. Booker did well out there, but not in the early moments of the contest as he fell victim to many of Flynn's submission and mixed-martial artistic style shots. Flynn hit a few stiff kicks before Booker began fighting back, eventually knocking Flynn's lights out with his Axe Kick for the win. - A mysterious debut promo. - A replay of Sting turning to go to the nWo Wolfpack is seen. - Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart defeated Kidman and Sick Boy in 6:39. This was a nice back-and-forth contest, I haven't seen Davey Boy and Neidhart on Monday Nitro in quite a few weeks, as it happens. Kidman and Sick Boy had alot of offense in here. Lodi sign reads "The Two Man Gang", obviously joking about One Man Gang. Neidhart came in and did some nice agile moves, he hit an impressive dropkick on Sick Boy, obviously it wasn't a backflip-esque dropkick though. Neidhart eventually chased off Lodi as Kidman missed the Shooting Star Press on a downed Davey Boy, leading to a Running Powerslam on Kidman for the win. - Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart began to celebrate as Sick Boy struggled into the ring to attend to a downed Kidman as Hammer began to walk down the aisle. He climbs into the ring, dressed in leather pants, no Flock nipple-shirt as Boy goes to talk to him only for Hammer to shove him down, Hammer picking up Kidman and hitting a nice two-hand chokeslam on him, Sick Boy reluctant to do anything. - We cut to the backstage area where Dean Malenko is seen standing by with Chris Benoit as Malenko tells Benoit that he has to defend the WCW US Heavyweight Championship at Great American Bash against either him or Fit Finley, Chris saying that either way, he will walk out of Baltimore on Sunday night, still champion. Malenko laughs and walks away. - We see Chavo Guerrero Jr begin to walk down the rampway to a medium reaction from the audience as he meets Gene Okerlund in front of the stage. Okerlund asks Chavo for his thoughts on his uncle, Eddie Guerrero knocking him out with a steel chair on WCW Thursday Thunder. Chavo hesitates and asks if he has a brother. Chavo begins to talk about kicking Eduardo's butt at Great American Bash (calling his NOT-uncle, Eddie 'Eduardo' repeatedly). - Chavo Guerrero Jr defeated Damien in 5:54. This was a fun little match as the audience loved Chavo Guerrero Jr, Damien didn't get too big of a reaction, obviously not being so over. Damien did some athletic stuff in there, he's bizarre to say the least. The commentators simply put over Chavo in this one, despite it not really being a squash whatsoever. Chavo and Damien simply battled in armdrags and legsweeps, fighting fastpaced, all of the way in fact. Chavo eventually ended it with the Tornado DDT from the turnbuckle. - Chavo Guerrero Jr began to celebrate as he heads to the back, screaming 'Eduardo' all of the way and pulling on his own hair. - We cut to see The Giant walking around in the hallway, screaming after Sting...Okay. - First hour pyrotechnics. - Public Enemy defeated Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom in a street fight in 9:16. This was a nice street fight tag team match, I can tell you that these two teams really know each other when it comes to battling in a street fight bout. There was zero tolerance from either side, I feel the WCW World Tag Team Championship division is regaining the prestige it once lost. Some nice shots in there from time to time, Enos really clobbered Rocco Rock numerous times with a stop sign as Johnny Grunge eventually finished the hard-fought battle off with an Outsiders-Edge style powerbomb from the apron through the PE table. - The Public Enemy began to celebrate before High Voltage, Robby Rage and Kenny Kaos rushed down the aisleway, and rushed into the ring, taking both Johnny Grunge and Rocco Rock out with cooking pans. High Voltage celebrated to some boos. - We see Raven in The Flock's locker room as we see Kidman in the background with an icepack over his shoulder as Raven still seems cheerful, knocking on a metal door, calling Saturn's name, telling Saturn that he was moments away from making another successful defense of the WCW World Television Championship against Chris Jericho. Saturn slowly comes out, not looking too pleased. Raven tells Saturn that he's talked to James J. Dillon, and he has the misfortune of telling Saturn that he has to defend the title against Hammer at WCW Great American Bash. Ah well, not every match can be good at a pay-per-view. Saturn has to do double-duty. - Rick Steiner defeated Wrath in 7:11. A hard-hitting contest here between two big toughguys here in WCW. I like that WCW are focusing alot of heavyweights, more than cruiserweights on this particular episode of WCW Monday Nitro. Wrath was pretty stiff out there it seemed as Steiner was hammered on during the course of the bout, getting shots in places, however. Steiner began to fire back midway through the match, gaining a burst of energy, hitting some gutwrenches. Steiner eventually nailed the Bulldog from the middle turnbuckle for the win. - Scott Steiner was then seen making his entrance as Rick Steiner celebrated, not noticing his brother, Scott on route to the ring behind him as Scott struck Rick with some sort of pipe, then grabbing Rick and locking him in the Steiner Recliner. - Hour number three pyrotechnics. - We see Gene Okerlund arrive in front of the stage as he hypes some words from the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Bret "Hitman" Hart. Bret then proceeded to walk out to the arena, meeting Okerlund in front of the stageway. Okerlund asked Hart if he was concerned or had any feelings about Hollywood Hogan, the nWo Wolfpack or Sting. Hart told Gene that he didn't want to worry about Hogan as he hasn't been in the same room as Hogan since two weeks ago, and that he will adress Hogan's challenge to him next week on Monday Nitro, once he gets Sting out of the way. Gene asks Hart about Sting, Hart telling him that he had no concerns because as far as it goes, Sting has never beat him and he has never beat Sting, fair enough. - Saturn defeated Chris Jericho to retain the WCW World Television Championship in 13:44. This was a fantastic defense of the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship. Definately the match of the night by a long shot. Saturn and Jericho put on a back-and-forth display as the two furiously battled over the title. Raven watched on from the rampway as he had a grin on his face, the announcers commenting on his seemingly fresh friendship with Saturn...well not for Saturn himself. Jericho almost had the Liontamer applied but Saturn reversed and hit the Spiccoli Driver for the win - Saturn begins to celebrate with the WCW World Television Championship as Raven joins him in the ring, we hear Raven yelling 'getting ready for 2 for 2 at Great American Bash. - Rowdy Roddy Piper was then seen cutting a pre-taped promo about Macho Man Randy Savage, talking about how once him and Randy Savage defeat The Giant and Hollywood Hogan at Great American Bash, it will be Savage vs Piper next week on Monday Nitro! - Dean Malenko defeated Fit Finley to gain contention to the WCW US Heavyweight Championship in 7:58. This was a decent match between two solid technician and hard-hitting styled wrestlers. The winner of this match would go on to meet Chris Benoit for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship this Sunday at Great American Bash as Finley could of had the match won at numerous points. Finley set up for his Tombstone Piledriver to finish the bout off but Dean reversed and rolled up Finley for the win. - Dean Malenko began to celebrate as he walked up the ramp and began a staredown with friend and WCW US Heavyweight Champion, Chris Benoit. - We see Bill Goldberg walking down the corridor as he is scheduled for his first ever tag team match in WCW, up next. - Bill Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page defeated Brian Adams and The Giant in 8:50. This match was turned into a tag team match after apparently, WCW had some concerns about Goldberg fighting Brian Adams in singles action. So Diamond Dallas Page and The Giant were added with a stipulation being that Goldberg and Adams could pick who they wanted as partners. Goldberg and Adams started off with Goldberg hammering Adams but The Giant soon got the tag, spearing Adams pretty much out of the match. Giant stalled Goldberg slightly, beating on him as DDP struggled to reach for the tag. DDP finally got the tag as he battled Giant, only for Giant to Chokeslam him. Goldberg hit the Spear and an AWESOME Jackhammer on the big Giant for the win. - Bill Goldberg celebrated with Diamond Dallas Page as DDP showed support for Goldberg going into his match with Curt Hennig and company at Great American Bash. - We cut to the backstage area where Hollywood Hogan was seen walking into a big room, seeing Bret Hart as the two began to fire up an argument, the two men fighting verbally as fellow nWo Black and White members attempted to drag them away as Monday Nitro went off the air... Quick Results Booker T defeated Jerry Flynn Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart defeated Kidman and Sick Boy Chavo Guerrero Jr defeated Damien Public Enemy defeated Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom in a street fight Rick Steiner defeated Wrath Saturn defeated Chris Jericho to retain the WCW World Television Championship Dean Malenko defeated Fit Finley Bill Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page defeated Brian Adams and The Giant

Wonder if anything will be resolved with Sting. Like how Sting sort of stayed face. Felt like Flynn being in the opener was a little weak. Like the idea of pitting Bulldog/Anvil together. Hopefully you end up doing Benoit vs. Malenko. Like what you have been doing with Eddie & Chavo. Nice to see Public Enemy pick up the win. I was hoping Wrath would get a push as he could be a credible big man. Plus, Rick Steiner doesn't have much to offer. But I understand why Rick won, and I hope he loses to Scott. Jericho as TV Champ would have been good but I like the Raven/Saturn stuff. Glad Dean got the win, and Malenko/Benoit sounds good. Weird to put that tag match, felt like it should have came after win #100, but no big deal. Sort of a cliffhanger way there to end the show...

Loved the beginning with Sting's promo. Hopefully his character will get more developing in the weeks to come. Disappointed to see Saturn go over Jericho, as i never really liked Saturn, but still, well written, sounded like a good match. Awesome to see Malenko going on to face Benoit. Damn thats gonna be good. Loved the main event, glad G-berg and DDP got the win, nice finish. Awesome ending, love the cliffhanger. Cant wait for next week.

WWF RAW is WAR - Monday, 06/08/1998 Posted by Daniel PetersonWWF Monday Night RAW - The opening video package to WWF Monday Night RAW airs as we go live to the arena where Jim Ross and Jerry "King" Lawler, run down the first hour of tonight's RAW is WAR program, highlighting the first hour main event as being Legion of Doom facing the Disciples of the Apocalypse in one final battle. - We see Vince McMahon then appear already inside the ring, joined by his stooges, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. The crowd boo as Vince begins a promo, saying how for the last year, he's been trying to calm down the WWF Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin, trying to make him a respectable champion but Stone Cold, truthfully is and was one of the most stubborn pieces of crap in World Wrestling Federation history. Vince reminds us of what happened on last week's edition of WWF Warzone, with Kane gaining contention to the WWF Championship at King of the Ring. Vince tells us all that tonight, Steve Austin will fight Dustin Runnels in a no holds barred match! The theme of Steve Austin then played as the crowd went ballistic as the WWF Champion appeared on the stage, telling Vince that he can take his job, he can take his beer, hell he can even take his title, but either way Steve Austin will forever be Stone Cold. Austin tells Vince to get his stooges and tell them to meet them in the parking lot, even then Steve Austin wouldn't care one bit. Austin tells Vince that at King of the Ring, he will walk out of the building, STILL WWF Champion. - Ken Shamrock defeated Savio Vega to advance into the Quarter-Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament in 4:55. Well, Ken Shamrock has indeed recently had his hands full with the Nation of Domination, but tonight, Shamrock had to fight to advance into the prestigious King of the Ring tournament, against Los Boricuas and ex-Nation member, Savio Vega. Vega hit some nice kicks but Shamrock evnetually shot down Savio with a belly-to-back suplex followed by the Ankle Lock for the win. - Ken Shamrock began to celebrate as Savio Vega rolled out of the ring, heading to the back with Los Boricuas, as he grabs a microphone, god Shamrock lacks charisma. Ken cut a promo on how even if he is unable to win the King of the Ring Tournament, either way it doesn't matter to him because all he wants to do is get his hands on The Rock! - We cut to the backstage area where we see Sable walking down a hallway alone as Val Venis is seen with a towel over his lower-body. Venis is checking out Sable as he steps forward and taps on Sable's shoulder. Sable asks Venis what he wants as Val offers his assistance against Marc Mero and that ebony chick, Jacqueline. Sable accepts as Venis tells Sable that after they're done in mixed tag action tonight, what about if they go for some mixed tag action in his hotel room. Sable slaps Venis, storming off, but telling him to meet him in the ring later on. - We cut to the backstage area as we see Kama Mustafa dressed in pimping attire, strutting around in a white robe as D'Lo Brown is cheering him on, The Rock being seen with the WWF Intercontinental Championship, but a phone in his hand as Rock tells them to quiet down as Rock has some business to take care of with Owen Hart, who isn't here tonight. - TAKA Michinoku and Justin Hawk Bradshaw defeated MEN's Teioh and Shoichi Funaki in 6:01. This actually wasn't a bad match, considering it had Justin Hawk Bradshaw in it, who was completely different than the other three Japanese light-heavyweights in there too. Bradshaw started with Teioh, easily destroying both Kai En Tai members before TAKA got the tag, had some fast-paced offense before the two heels began to work over the WWF Light-Heavyweight Champion. Eventually Bradshaw got the tag and eventually the move he calls the Clothesline From Hell, took Funaki's head off for the win. - TAKA Michinoku and Justin Hawk Bradshaw celebrated as Kai En Tai began to try and step into the ring, Bradshaw running them off, diving off the ropes to shake them away. - A video package showing a new mysterious superstar to the WWF, known as Edge was shown, he was seen screaming at people randomly in the Subway. It ended, telling us he was debuting next week on RAW is WAR. - X-Pac defeated D'Lo Brown to advance into the Quarter-Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament in 9:02. This was a great back-and-forth match in this King of the Ring Qualifying match. D-Generation X and the Nation have recently had a feud, so this was the perfect continuation right here. X-Pac did some sweet kicks as D'Lo battled hard, he looked like a class midcarder here. X-Pac went for the X-Factor pretty quickly but D'Lo continuously reversed it, setting up for a move he calls the Lo-Down, only X-Pac reversed that into the X-Factor for the win. - X-Pac began to celebrate as Mark Henry was seen on the outside, not really interesting in the match, more rather interesting it stalking Chyna around ringside. X-Pac eventually blocked Mark Henry off from getting to Chyna, walking up the aisle as Henry watched her leave from behind. - An advertisement for the WWF King of the Ring is shown, live on pay-per-view in three weeks time. - We see Kane standing in the darkness with Paul Bearer as the announcers hype them coming out to talk during Warzone. - Legion of Doom 2000 defeated Disciples of the Apocalypse in a street fight in 7:55. This was a nice hard-fought battle in this handicap match. Suprisingly, Droz was nowhere to be seen, pretty weird really. Wonder where he was. Hawk and Animal did well without him anyways, here, the two teams using trashcans, stopsigns and even a shopping cart to slow down Chainz, Skull and 8-Ball. There was even a nice spot where Hawk hit a front-first suplex on Chainz onto the seat of a motorcycle. LOD 2000 eventually finished the hard bout off with the Doomsday Device on Chainz, only Hawk jumping off with a chair shot to the head of Chainz. - The Legion of Doom 2000 celebrated over the carnage as the three members of the DOA were left scrambled across the arena, 8-Ball placed over the announce table, Skull left on the outside and Chainz clutching his shoulder in pain in the ring as Sunny accompanied LOD2000 to the back. WARZONE - The opening video package to Warzone played. The pyrotechnics went off again. - The red flames shot up in the arena, triggering the appearance of Kane and Paul Bearer. Bearer led Kane out to the ring as the announcers began to hype up this hour of RAW is WAR, Kane climbing into the ring and setting off more pyrotechnics. Paul Bearer took the microphone as he insisted that the feud of the two brothers were put to a rest last Monday night on RAW is WAR when Kane won contention to the WWF Championship. Bearer signalled that on June 28th, Kane would be the new WWF Champion. Kane was then cut off as we heard Mankind's theme play, the crowd beginning to boo as Mankind crazily jotted in a zigzag down the aisle, dressed in a struffy white collar shirt with a tie and sweats on as Mankind got on the microphone, face-to-face with Kane as he asked Kane for a shot at his WWF Championship once he overcomes his brother, the Undertaker in Hell in a Cell. Bearer told Mankind that he was done with Mankind, and that Mankind to get involved with Kane was just plain stupid on Mankind's part as Kane would march right through him, just like at the Survivor Series, last year. Mankind begs, mentally as Bearer tells Mankind that if he finds Undertaker, he can have the match with Kane for RAW is WAR following King of the Ring. - We go to the Nation of Domination's locker room as The Rock is still on the phone as Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown were seen in the background, D'Lo giving Mark advice on how to impress a lady like Chyna. - Dan Severn defeated Kama Mustafa in 4:57. Not really the best match in the world, but it involved two very stiff performers as Severn ploughed through Kama, not really giving him a chance, though Mustafa kept fighting, and got in some nice shots. But that didn't stop Severn from body slamming Mustafa numerous times. Two cute blondes managed Kama to the ring during this bout. Steve Blackman was seen in the backstage area, watching the match on a monitor, shaking his head at Severn's offense. Severn ended the bout with a hard spinebuster from the second rope. - Dan Severn celebrated over Kama Mustafa as Steve Blackman walked away from his monitor in the backstage area. - The Rock was seen once again, this time on his own, now arguing seemingly with Owen Hart. Rock asked Owen what he wanted, to make Owen happy and looked shocked at whatever Owen said. Rock then told Owen to know his role, shut his mouth and not be so damn lazy, to meet him in the parking lot in a half hour. - We cut to D-Generation X's locker room where Triple H, X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws were seen with Chyna, just simply chilling out as X-Pac was shown trying to calm down Chyna after Mark Henry tried stalking him back there. The Outlaws were negotiating who would be good contenders to the WWF Tag Team Championships, the two joking about Los Boricuas as Triple H was shown alone, watching his television and laughing, watching a home video titled 'The Rock's Greatest Losses'. - Then, we go to the boiler room where Mankind vows to find The Undertaker next week, then go on to beat Taker in hell in a cell at King of the Ring before becoming WWF Champion on RAW the night after, hugging the boiler, sitting down and cradling. - Val Venis and Sable defeated Marc Mero and Jacqueline in 6:23. This was actually quite a decent match. When the two men were in the ring that is. Jacqueline's big knockers almost came out at one point when wrestling Sable. Sable was sloppy in there, she just threw many extremely sluggish punches in an attempt to knock some good looks out of Jacqueline's face. Venis and Mero did a lot of mat-based wrestling meanwhile, and the match came to a close as Marc Mero went for the TKO, Jeff Jarrett came down to the ring, pulled on Venis' foot, Venis landing on his feet as Val hit the Big Package for the win. - Val Venis celebrated with Sable as Sable bent down to argue with Jacqueline, seated on the aisleway, Venis resting his front against her behind before Sable got up and slapped Venis again. - We cut to the parking lot where The Rock is standing solo for some reason, the WWF Intercontinental Championship draped over his shoulder as Owen Hart appears. Owen demands why Rock wanted him, Rock telling Owen that he needs to help him with something. Owen asks Rock what is in it for him, Rock telling him that all will be explained momentarily. The two walk into the arena, walking straight through the backstage and onto the rampway as the crowd boos. Rock rests his arm on Owen's shoulder as he tells Owen that in three weeks, it's King of the Ring. Rock tells Owen that he's one of the sixteen men who's been chosen for the tournament this year, but he will let Owen take his place. Rock tells the audience that the reason why is because he wants the WWF European Championship, and wants to end Triple H come King of the Ring, so what he wants Owen to do is take out Triple H and beat him next week on RAW, then he can have his slot in King of the Ring, heck, Rock will even fight and win the Qualifying match for him, being his qualifying bout is indeed next week. Owen reluctantly accepts. - Stone Cold Steve Austin drew with Dustin Runnels in a non-title match in 10:40. This was a big brawl in which both men had offense and Dustin actually looked like he would beat Stone Cold in some nice spots. Dustin did some great brawling against Austin as the crowd chanted 'ECW' repeatedly, Jerry Lawler mentioning 'Extremely Crappy Wrestling' once again. Austin and Runnels fought around the arena with chairs and a table before Austin nailed the Stunner on Runnels, right on the rampway as Dustin fell off of the stage through two tables! Austin went over to try and get down but Vader came from behind and shoved Austin off of the stage! Vader laughed as he walked down the ramp, went up the side and began to pound away at Austin. Kane and Paul Bearer appeared from behind the WWF logo'ed scaffolding as Vader nodded and shook Bearer's hand, after all they'd been through in 1998! RAW is WAR goes off the air... Quick Results Ken Shamrock defeated Savio Vega in a King of the Ring Qualifying match. TAKA Michinoku and Justin Hawk Bradshaw defeated MEN's Teioh and Shoichi Funaki X-Pac defeated D'Lo Brown in a King of the Ring Qualifying match. Legion of Doom 2000 defeated Disciples of the Apocalypse in a handicap street fight. Dan Severn defeated Kama Mustafa in a King of the Ring Qualifying match. Val Venis and Sable defeated Marc Mero and Jacqueline in a mixed tag team match. Steve Austin fought to a no contest with Dustin Runnels

Good way to start off the show with Austin to be realistic. Shamrock winning was the obvious move. Funny Val stuff, although I don't think Sable would slap him since she's a face. Like the X-Pac/Henry/Chyna stuff. LOD-DOA sounds like it'd be pretty brutal to see. TTaker/Kane/Mankind stuff is pretty good. Heh, advice on going after Chyna. Like the weirdness shown by Mankind there. Good mixed tag match, but still confused on the slapping of Venis. Rock for the European title is a little meh, but Rock/HHH makes sense. Good ending to the show. This show certainly had its ups and downs, but I still feel like you book better old school diaries than new.

WCW Thursday Thunder - Thursday, 06/11/98Posted by Daniel Peterson - The Thursday Thunder video package airs, hyping up the show's beginning. - We are TAPED from Buffalo, New York for tonight's episode of WCW Thursday Thunder as Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Lee Marshall begin to hype up the next two hours of Thunder before focusing on our main event, it being scheduled for The Giant to fight Konnan in a New York City Rules match. - Replay from WCW Monday Nitro, the Bret Hart-Hollywood Hogan argument that closed Nitro down. - Ultimo Dragon defeated Sick Boy by disqualification in 5:44. This was a nice back-and-forth match between two decent performers, Ultimo did a lot of athletic moves in the ring, but then again he is always athletic whenever it comes to wrestling. Lodi's sign during this bout was 'Rodzilla fears Lodi'. Ultimo did some nice kicks against Sick Boy and had him finally prepared for the finishing Dragon Sleeper, unfortunately Lodi ran into the ring and foolishly jumped on Ultimo causing a disqualification. - Ultimo fought Lodi off, knocking him out with a spinning heel kick and delivering a drop toe hold to Sick Boy. Raven then appeared walking down the aisle, climbing into the ring and coming face-to-face with Ultimo, Ultimo going to kick Raven, only for him to catch his foot, planting the Evenflow DDT on the Dragon, we go to the commercials. - We return from the commercial break as Raven is in the ring with Saturn, seated in the corner. He gets on the microphone saying how recently, he's been more happier than he ever has been in the past. Raven tells us that he found happiness as of late, because he finally has friends in the Flock and they're all backing him along the way. Raven tells us that he isn't so happy at the moment. He says he isn't happy because people like Kanyon and Booker T have been upsetting his best friend, Saturn, leaving him in an unsatisfied and angered state. Raven tells us that the two will find hope and joy again on Sunday at Great American Bash when the two team up against Kanyon and Booker, and against Van Hammer! Saturn just shakes his head and covers his face with his handpalm. - WCW Great American Bash promo for this Sunday. - Juventud Guerrera defeated Yuji Nagata in 8:11. This was in actual fact a stiff match between two fantastic performers as Nagata used a lot of hard kicks, as well as mixing in some mixed-martial artistic style submission armbars on Juventud Guerrera. WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, Psychosis came out to get a better view from the aisle, watching Juvi and Yuji battle. Juvi hit a lot of acrobatic moves, including a nice springboard onto Yuji's shoulders, into a victory roll for a really close count. Nagata did some chops too but that didn't put Juvi away as he hit a move he calls the Juvi Driver for the win. - Juventud Guerrera celebrated after the match as Psychosis simply nodded his head from the aisle, the two engaging in a staredown. - We hear the theme of Chris Benoit play as the WCW US Heavyweight Champion came out alongside Dean Malenko, meeting Gene Okerlund in front of the stage. Okerlund asks Benoit and Malenko what relationship they have at the moment during this situation where the two will meet for the US Heavyweight title at Great American Bash. Benoit tells him it's as strong as it ever was and that at Great American Bash, there'll be a lot of sportsmanship in that ring. Malenko follows saying that they'll prove their friendship tonight in a tag team match against Meng and The Barbarian. - Kanyon defeated Hugh Morrus in 6:25. This was a fairly good match between two good heavyweights, Hugh Morrus is actually quite agile for his size, and he's a decent brawler. Kanyon used this as preparation for Sunday's falls count anywhere tag team match as Morrus hit some nice body slams and hard-hitting shots. Kanyon wanted to end this extremely fast, though unfortunately Hugh didn't let Kanyon succeed too quickly, as he cut off Kanyon, beat him down and hit a nice TKO before missing No Laughing Matter. Kanyon finished off Morrus with the Flatliner. - Kanyon began to celebrate, the announcers hyped up the upcoming moments on WCW Thursday Thunder. - We hear the theme of The Giant play as the audience began to cheer, The Giant meeting Gene Okerlund in front of the stage way, Giant entering with a cigar in his mouth. Okerlund asked Giant about his feelings in tonight's New York Rules match against Konnan. Giant tells Okerlund that the only reason there's no disqualification because the gangsta boy of the nWo Wolfpack is all talk when it comes to wrestling him. Giant then puts over Great American Bash. - Lex Luger defeated Chris Adams in 5:14. This wasn't really a back-and-forth match. Chris Adams got in some shots but Lex Luger pretty much ploughed on through the Gentleman, Chris Adams. Luger went through his usual offense as the announcers used this spot as a way to hype up Great American Bash and put over the nWo Wolfpack. Adams hit a nice jawbreaker, but that was all, really. Luger applied the Torture Rack for the win. - Lex Luger celebrated following the contest as Brian Adams walked out and simply nodded his head from the rampway. - Saturn defeated Alex Wright to retain the WCW World Television Championship in 6:57. This was a nice back-and-forth match between two decent brawlers. Alex Wright had a lot of offense, but his dancing really ended up costing him offense in this match against Saturn. Hammer came out to watch on from the aisle during the match as Saturn glared at him three or four times. Wright hit some nice technical moves, including almost convincingly defeating Saturn with a diving leg drop. The Rings of Saturn finished it. - Saturn began to celebrate with the WCW World Television Championship as Hammer watched him from the aisle. - Hype for the New York City Rules match is shown as The Giant vs Konnan is up next. - The Giant defeated Konnan in New York Rules in 8:00. This was a hard-hitting brawl in which wasn't exactly a squash as everybody expected. There were falls count anywhere rules, and contested under no disqualification rules. Konnan fought back with many shots, stomping on Giant's cigar and cutting down the big tree with a stop sign, then using the surroundings to beat down Giant, even using a guard rail on Giant. Konnan tried applying the Tequila Sunrise but Giant easily overpowered before Giant grabbed Konnan and Chokeslammed him onto the floor for the win. - The Giant began to celebrate, the announcers put over Great American Bash as WCW Thursday Thunder went off the air... Quick Results Ultimo Dragon defeated Sick Boy Juventud Guerrera defeated Yuji Nagata Kanyon defeated Hugh Morrus Lex Luger defeated Chris Adams Saturn defeated Alex Wright to retain the WCW World Television Championship The Giant defeated Konnan in New York City Rules

I really think it's going to be really hard for you to do WWF & WCW at the same time. Fine start to the show with those undercarders. I hope to see Dragon become a legit cruiser title contender though. Juvi-Psy should be good. Benoit-Malenko is smart booking, it should be good. Kanyon-Morris was fine. You should maybe pair up Wright with Disco. Good main event, and Giant winning made sense obviously. Decent show, but Raw was better.

Jeez Dan, your doing BOTH WWF and WCW... i'll give you credit for doing it, but i hope you dont burn yourself out.
RAW:
- Good segment with Austin/Vince. - Funny segment with Venis and Sable. Push Venis, please. - Pac/Brown had a nice finish. - Nice touch with Hawk nailing Chainz with a chair for the finish. - Good segment with Kane/Mankind. I really hope Kane goes over Austin and has a lengthy title run. - Interesting segment with Rock/Owen. Perhaps Rock screws Owen over. - Wow. Good main event and Vader joining with Kane and Bearer is awesome. - Good show.
WCW.
- Really liked the Raven promo with his friend Saturn. - Solid win for Juventud. His upcoming match with Psicosis should be entertaining. - The same can be said for Benoit/Malenko at GAB. - Hell yeah, Chris Kanyon picking up a win. - I could see Saturn and Wright having a solid contest since their styles seem to be the same. - Liked the main event not being a squash. Interested to see if this elevates Konnan at all. - Solid Thunder, that seemingly built the PPV up very well.

WCW Great American Bash Sunday 14th June 1998The opening video package shows, hyping up the upcoming matches for this evening's pay-per-view card before we go to the live Baltimore, Maryland audience as Mike Tenay, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan greet us, hyping up the next three hours of this grand spectacular pay-per-view, Great American Bash 1998. They hype up Bret Hart vs Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship; Hollywood Hogan and The Giant vs Randy Savage and Roddy Piper; Rick Steiner vs Scott Steiner as well as more. Pyrotechnics fly as well in the arena. Psychosis defeated Juventud Guerrera to retain the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship in 12:50. This was an amazing show of agility and was extremely fast-paced as these two Mexicans, who know each other incredibly well, put on a huge performance here in Baltimore. The audience were behind Juventud however, but was almost sneaked out of winning on numerous occasions due to Psychosis going for the win very early on in the match. Juvi then began to fight fire with fire, battling with Psychosis in pretty much a grappling dogfight. Psychosis missed the Guillotine Legdrop as Juvi also eventually missed his 450 Splash, and whenever Juventud went for the Juvi Driver, Psychosis always slid out. Psychosis eventually got Juvi in position for the Guillotine Legdrop, resulting in victory. Psychosis began to celebrate as he stood over Juventud Guerrera, holding the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, as the announcers seem to be more interested by Chris Jericho watching on from a backstage monitor at one point in the match. Saturn defeated Hammer to retain the WCW World Television Championship in 7:34. This was actually a pretty decent back-and-forth match as the fans here in Baltimore were actually into Saturn as this match was mainly a decent brawl, for the most part. It seemed pretty obvious it would open since Saturn would have to wrestle again later on. Weird, because Lodi was at ringside already before the entrances, he had two signs which he held whenever that person was on the offense. These said 'Hammer FTW' or 'Saturn FTW'. Hammer hit a nice gorilla press slam and worked over his spine as the match progressed. Eventually, Hammer went for a stupid move, a diving headbutt from the top rope, but he missed and that gave Saturn an opening to apply the Rings of Saturn for the win. Saturn began to celebrate, sort of, as the official handed him the WCW World Television Championship, though really just walking out of the ring and not turning back, obviously knowing he had to wrestle again later tonight. A video package lays down the backstory for the upcoming match between uncle and nephew, Eddie Guerrero vs Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eddie Guerrero defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr in 13:56. This was a great match as both family members obviously work extremely well with each other. The two superstars worked a lot of different styles, Chavo starting off with the brawling technique, just beating Eddie senseless as Eddie was slightly intimidated by Chavo after being knocked out of the ring numerous times by the insane nephew of Eddie. Eddie got back in and began to work a technical style, after having to go fast-paced, as Eddie began to apply some sleepers, and work away at the spine of Chavo. Eddie was really enthusiastic at this, whenever he had the opportunity, he'd go over and lock in a submission hold or simply stomp. Chavo began fighting back but when going for a powerbomb, Guerrero hit a sunset flip and it was over! Eddie Guerrero rolled out of the ring quickly as Chavo intensely yelled after him, telling him to get back in the ring and fight like a man. A promo for WCW Bash At The Beach airs, it is live on pay-per-view on Sunday 12th July 1998 from the Cox Arena in San Diego, California. WCW Road Report. It mentions WCW Monday Nitro on Sunday 6th July 1998 being at the Georgia Dome, Atlanta, funny enough. Bill Goldberg defeated Curt Hennig in 5:12. This was actually a fairly decent match, as Goldberg did not have all of the offense for this match, so you can barely call this match a squash. Hennig got in a lot of cheap shots, and gained offense originally when dodging Goldberg's Spear and giving him a low-blow unbeknownst to the referee. Hennig began to stomp away at Goldberg to some serious heat as Hennig even led Bill to the outside, then rushing into the ring and distracting the referee while Rick Rude stomped away at Goldberg, but got Spear'ed himself! Goldberg got back into the ring and tried the Jackhammer but Hennig suprisingly hit the Hennig-Plex, but only got two! Goldberg got back up, Speared Hennig and the Jackhammer finished him. Bill Goldberg began to celebrate over Curt Hennig as Rick Rude attempted to get back in the ring for some more of Bill, only to get the Spear once again! The Giant then marched out, walking to the ring as Goldberg gave Giant some blows, only for the big man to absorb them like they were moving. Giant roared as Goldberg went to hit Giant some more to no effect as Giant chokeslammed Goldberg! Giant walked out as the announcers put over not seeing Goldberg in this sort of way before. We are reminded the past of the Steiner Brothers, here in World Championship Wrestling as they are expected to fight up next. Scott Steiner defeated Rick Steiner in 12:45. This was actually a nice match, actually one of the better WCW heavyweight matches I've seen in a little while, on pay-per-view. The two Steiners traded many of blows, just butchering each other, and this all started back at Superbrawl VIII after Scott turned his back on Rick, enabling Scott to go on and join the nWo, back when the faction was one whole. Rick gave Scott many hard-hitting blows and headbutts, showing a lot of seriousness, the most seriousness we've seen from him in a little while, as it turns out. Scott hit the Belly-to-Back Suplex but Rick reversed, Rick blocked the Steiner Recliner, and the only reason Scott won was because a certain Brian Adams rushed out and slammed Rick over the head with a chair while the official was distracted. Scott Steiner celebrated with Brian Adams as Rick Steiner laid unconscious on the canvas. That's when the crowd roar as Lex Luger is seen rushing down the aisle, as he runs off Adams and Steiner, delivering his bicep-plate blow to the head of Adams. Luger attends to Rick. Booker T and Kanyon defeated Raven and Saturn in Raven's Rules in 13:54. This was a huge spotfest, which involved a lot of power, agility and hardcore spots as these four men struck each other with chairs, trash cans and a wooden crate. Falls were counted anywhere in this match, as these two teams went all over the arena, from ringside, to the announcers area, to the aisle near the stage, to through the audience, here there and everywhere is where this one went. Kanyon hit a nice Flatliner on the wooden crate, but it didn't break, though Raven made sure it did, hitting the Evenflow on Saturn. Booker hit an awesome spinebuster on Raven onto the announcer's table, and Saturn hit the Spicolli Driver on Kanyon right onto the floor. Despite this, it didn't stop! Saturn eventually landed the Spicolli Driver in the middle of the ring but for some odd reason, Raven grabbed Saturn and nailed HIM with the Evenflow! Raven walked out of the ring and up the aisle, high-fiving Kanyon confusingly as Booker covered Saturn for the win! Booker T began to celebrate as Raven and Kanyon began to walk up the aisle, grinning at Saturn's defeat as the official attended to the WCW World Television Champion. Dean Malenko defeated Chris Benoit to win the WCW US Heavyweight Championship in 17:33. This was one fantastic match, as it showed all sorts of chemistry from both men, superb action all around, these two friends shook hands at the starting bell as Malenko applied many headlocks and went for the Texas Cloverleaf on many occasions only for Benoit to wisely avoid it and fight back with some knife-edged chops, hard-hitting punches and a lot of chain-wrestling. Benoit also went for his move, the Crippler Crossface but unfortunately Dean kept rolling out of it. Benoit went up top as well, apparently heading for a diving headbutt only for Malenko to gain some speed, do a run-up to the turnbuckle and hit an awesome superplex, in which Malenko cradled Benoit immediately after, but for a near fall. Benoit then caught Malenko going for a dive off of the top rope, and twisted him to the canvas, applying the Crippler Crossface! Malenko however rolled up Benoit and that was it! Dean Malenko began to celebrate about being the new WCW US Heavyweight Champion before Benoit took the belt from the referee and struck his apparent best friend in the skull with the belt from behind! Benoit applied the Crippler Crossface on Malenko as many officials ran in to try and pull Benoit away! Roddy Piper and Randy Savage defeated Hollywood Hogan and The Giant by disqualification in 13:29. This wasn't the greatest match in the world, but it did what it was intended to do, and that was give the audience something to be lively about. These two teams worked well with each other, despite Roddy Piper and Randy Savage being made out to look like uneasy allies, and the announcers hyped up tomorrow night's edition of WCW Monday Nitro like it was bigger than Great American Bash, boasting Roddy Piper fighting Randy Savage. Piper went after Giant at numerous points in this match, despite the obvious size difference. He mainly kicked Giant repeatedly in the legs, then hitting some moves like a DDT or something to knock down the big man. Savage meanwhile spent the match, pounding away at Hogan as Savage hit a Legdrop of his own only for Giant to get involved. Giant chokeslammed Piper as Savage hit his Diving Elbow Drop off of the top rope onto Hogan, but that's when a masked man rushed into the ring, striking Savage with a crowbar! The bell sounded as the masked man took out the referee and took off his ski-mask to reveal he was Scott Hall! That's when Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page began to march down to the ring, running off Hall and Hogan to a sweet reaction! Nash and Page [who was NOT sporting a Wolfpack shirt] chased Hall and Hogan up the aisle as Piper stood in the ring, looking around, irate as Savage got to his feet, and thought Piper had struck him with the crowbar! Savage and Piper got into an argument as officials seperated them before anything happened. A video package aired, hyping up Bret Hart's upcoming match with Sting for Hart's WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Michael Buffer does his announcing. Bret Hart defeated Sting to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in 14:04. This was a mixed contest, it was pretty on par to the match we had just seen, between Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Hollywood Hogan and The Giant, but obviously it was no classic like Chris Benoit vs Dean Malenko. Eric Bischoff accompanied Bret out to the ring as Sting gave Hart many shots, just repeatedly clobbering the Hitman to no end. Sting hit a nice spinebuster on Hart as it looked like he had the match won early on in the actual contest. Bischoff buzzed around ringside during this time as Hart was ran out of the ring, causing Bret and Eric to re-think their strategy. Hart eventually gained control of Sting, managing to hit some good moves and work away at the spine of Wolfpack Sting. Sting was nailed with the Piledriver, but he still got up as Sting repeatedly fought back, eventually hitting his Scorpion Death Drop before applying the Sharpshooter of his own, the Scorpion Death Lock, but unfortunately Bischoff had the official distracted! Sting grabbed a hold of Bischoff, shoving him off the apron and going after him, Sting chased Eric up the aisle while Bret had the referee distracted as Hollywood Hogan came out of nowhere with a chairshot to Sting! Hogan dragged Sting to the ring as Bret applied the Sharpshooter, and Sting had passed out! Bret Hart began to celebrate with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship but this was short-lived as Hollywood Hogan climbed into the ring, getting in Hart's face as the two stare down, Eric Bischoff trying to stop them as the announcers put over Monday Nitro tomorrow night, Great American Bash goes off the air... Quick Results Psychosis defeated Juventud Guerrera to retain the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship Saturn defeated Hammer to retain the WCW World Television Championship Eddie Guerrero defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr Bill Goldberg defeated Curt Hennig Scott Steiner defeated Rick Steiner Booker T and Kanyon defeated Raven and Saturn in Raven's Rules Dean Malenko defeated Chris Benoit to win the WCW US Heavyweight Championship Roddy Piper and Randy Savage defeated Hollywood Hogan and The Giant Bret Hart defeated Sting to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Good idea to open up with the cruiserweight title, realistic there. Jericho as cruiser champ would be great. Hammer was a really weak challenger. Good job with Eddie-Chavo, keeps the feud going. Not sure about Giant destroying Goldberg, especially since Goldberg beat him all the time then. Cool to see Steiner vs. Steiner, and glad Scott got the win. Really surprised there with Raven attacking Saturn, wonder where you will go with that. Shocked that you gave Dean the US Title. Interesting idea, although I'm not sure if he's fit for it. That tag match was really star studded, too bad there was no clean finish. Hall interfering was a little underwhelming but oh well. Thank you for having Bret retain. Good show DTP, looking forward to more. I still think you do a far better job with booking old school stuff.

-Opening PPVs with Cruiserweight Title matches is always a good move and although I was pulling for the Juice, its fine thats Psychosis retained. Jericho 4 Champ!!! -Like the Flock rivalry between each other, although Hammer getting any title shot is just not good -I figured Eddie/Chavo would be great and it proved me right -Building towards Giant/Goldberg very well I see although I don't like Henning jobbing -Glad Scott went over Rick, glad as Scott's the better brother to me -I smell Raven/Saturn for the TV Title which would be excellent. Good match too, liked that it was a spot fest -Malenko/Benoit is always great and I like the Benoit heel turn at the end -I figured the tag match wouldn't be great but it got the crowd very into it as expected. Loved Hall as the masked man and I can this leading to Nash/Hall -Glad Bret retained and I loved the ending with Bret/Hogan as that could lead to a huge match
Very good PPV and I hope you can keep this diary going -

- Great way to start the show with Psychosis and Juvi. Really glad that Psychosis got the win, hopefully he gets a good reign. - Hate Hammer in a title match. - Eddie/Chavo is always a fun match. Good to see Eddie pick up the win. - Goldberg squash makes sense, but too bad it had to be Hennig - Scott was always better than Rick so that makes sense. - Really think you could have played the tension with Raven/Saturn much longer. - Good Malenko/Benoit match and glad to see Benoit turn heel like he did. - Interesting finish to the semi main event. - Liked that Sting didn’t tap out. Seemed like a solid main event. Really would wish that Hogan/Hart would be saved for the end of the year. - Other than a few things being rushed, seemingly and Hammer on a PPV.. Was a good read.

WCW Monday Nitro - Monday, 06/15/98- The show kicks off with numerous shots of last night's Great American Bash event. - The Monday Nitro video package airs, hyping up the show's beginning. Pyrotechnics explode on the rampway as the New York City audience applaud, the announcers are Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyzko and Mike Tenay as they remind us about Great American Bash, hype the Encore Presentation tomorrow night as well as hype Randy Savage vs Roddy Piper for tonight. - Hugh Morrus and The Barbarian defeated High Voltage in a non-title match in 6:54. This was a fairly okay way to kick off WCW Monday Nitro tonight from New York. The tag team division has been slightly good as of late, a decent amount of teams have been after Robby Rage and Kenny Kaos' WCW World Tag Team Championships. Morrus had some nice shots in on Kaos as him and Kaos began, the First Family team getting in a bit of offense. Rage eventually got the tag, he got in some shots. Public Enemy watched on from the aisle. Kaos eventually missed a lariat, Barbarian applied the Tonga Death Grip as Morrus hit No Laughing Matter on Rage for the win. - Hugh Morrus and The Barbarian celebrated briefly as Public Enemy looked at each other and rushed into the ring, chasing away Morrus and Barbarian but catching Jimmy Hart, the two gorilla press slamming Hart onto Morrus and Barbarian on the aisle! Public Enemy stare down High Voltage. - We see more shots of Great American Bash, highlighting Roddy Piper and Randy Savage vs Hollywood Hogan and The Giant, reminding us of Scott Hall's return, and the argument between Piper and Savage. - We see Gene Okerlund near the stage-way as he introduces "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Savage prancing out mentally, as Okerlund interviews him, about tonight's main event confrontation with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Savage begins to talk about last night, saying that Roddy Piper punked him out right when they were on their way to victory. Savage accuses Piper of being on the nWo Black and White's side, calling him a traitor, a backstabber and mentions that nobody stabs the 'Macho Man' in the back and gets away with it, as Piper will see tonight on Monday Nitro. Savage calls out Piper for a steel-cage match tonight, saying that when he defeats Piper's black and white butt, he will not know what's hit him, and then Savage will be on his way to fighting Bret Hart for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Bash At The Beach. - Nitro Girls. - We see shots of Chris Benoit vs Dean Malenko for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship from Great American Bash, with Malenko winning the title causing Benoit to brutally snap. - Chris Benoit defeated Greg Valentine in 5:50. This was a fairly decent match, but it wasn't nearly the best. Valentine got a good reaction in his real return match here in World Championship Wrestling, on Monday Nitro. Valentine went out to try and tame the Crippler, but unfortunately it didn't work out too well. Valentine did have some momentum, but it was pretty much all-Benoit other than Valentine trying to go to work on Benoit's legs. Benoit had alot of heat after last night too. Benoit took out Valentine with the Crippler Crossface. - Chris Benoit refused to release the Crippler Crossface on Greg Valentine, unfortunately, as he just pulled back and applied even more pressure with the Crossface, seven officials finally pulling Benoit off, Valentine having to be helped out on a stretcher. - We go to Gene Okerlund as he tells us that he is personally appauled at Chris Benoit's behavior, but we've got to move on, as he introduces Booker T to the arena, as the man himself walks out to a nice reaction, as Okerlund asks Booker what is next for Booker, here in World Championship Wrestling. Booker tells us that he has finished with dealing with this bizarre situation with Raven, The Flock and Saturn, mentioning that he wants some of the WCW US Heavyweight Championship! Booker is then interrupted as Stevie Ray begins to make his way out from the backstage area, asking Booker to team up again, Stevie mentions that he seriously wants one more reign with his brother, Booker as Harlem Heat with the WCW World Tag Team Championships in their possession! Before Booker can react however, Chris Benoit walks up to them from in the ring, telling Booker that he's had glory with his brother, Stevie Ray, but really you're a glory hog, like Greg Valentine, the washup veteran, like Dean Malenko, the stumpy opportunist. Stevie Ray stands up for Booker, calling out Benoit for next week on Nitro. - We see a shot of what is still to come tonight on Monday Nitro as Diamond Dallas Page is still yet to come as well as the reaction from last night between Bret Hart and Hollywood Hogan plus, will Roddy Piper accept Randy Savage's steel-cage challenge for tonight? - Nitro Girls. - We go back to Gene Okerlund for some MORE interview time as Okerlund reminds us of Randy Savage's promo from Monday Nitro, approximately fifteen minutes ago as Okerlund introduces to us, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper comes out to a loud reaction. Piper begins to ramble on about Savage being so stubborn and not thinking before acting. Piper criticizes Savage for being like that, when he should know that Roddy is not one to stab somebody in the back, and the reason for that is because he has way too much respect for Savage, well did before Randy had to be like he is. Piper talks about his challenge earlier on and says that while he accepted for a match tonight, several weeks ago on Monday Nitro IF Savage teamed with him last night, he hadn't requested it be a steel cage match but since Savage wants to be like a paranoid freak, he accepts! - Masahiro Chono and Hiroyoshi Tenzan defeated Public Enemy in a street fight in 8:55. This was a solid hard-hitting fight as the NJPW World Tag Team Champions, Chono and Tenzan are over here in World Championship Wrestling in exchange for Scott Norton and Michael Wallstreet, as a part of the NJPW/WCW Working Agreement. Apparently Chono and Tenzan are with us for a month. Anyways, Public Enemy and the two NJPW superstars battled with stop signs and trash cans, nobody knowing who would end up victorious. Eventually however, High Voltage rushed into the ring, knocking out Rocco Rock and hitting a double press slam on Johnny Grunge through the table before Chono's Yakuza Kick on Rock ended it. - We see even more shots of Scott Hall returning in nWo Black and White, being ran off by Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page. - We hear the rap theme of the nWo Wolfpack play into the arena, as the faction get a massive pop from this crowd here in New York as Kevin Nash walks out, solo for some reason. Nash is wearing the Wolfpack shirt as he walks down the aisle, no emotion shown on his face as the crowd are super into him. Nash climbs into the ring, and says 'ey yo', before saying that he can't say that anymore due to that phrase being copywritten by the nWo Black and White. Nash tells us that last night, he thought he would just sit in the back, enjoy a cold six-pack of beer and whatnot, but it just wasn't that simple. Nash notes that The Giant injured Konnan on Thursday Thunder on TBS. Nash then calls out Diamond Dallas Page. DDP comes out to a loud reaction as he climbs into the ring, the two shaking hands, DDP not wearing a Wolfpack shirt. Nash asks Page if he would like to join the Wolfpack. DDP declines his offer after some thought before mentioning that he understands the situation with Nash and his friend Scott Hall. Nash asks Page if he will instead team with him next week on Nitro to fight Scott Hall and Hollywood Hogan! Page accepts. - Second hour pyrotechnics. - We see shots of Raven and Saturn vs Kanyon and Booker T from last night's Great American Bash. We are shown the finish with Raven turning on Saturn, and then leaving with Kanyon, who high-fived each other. - Saturn defeated Silver King to retain the WCW World Television Championship in 4:58. This was a short match between a cruiserweight and a man who seems to have turned face, due to being double-crossed last night at Great American Bash. The announcers however decided to focus on Raven and Kanyon, but that's respectable since Silver King only got in like three or four shots as well as a fairly good springboard dropkick. Other than that, Saturn just hammered King, hit the Evenflow DDT, as well as the Flatliner before applying the Rings of Saturn to retain the WCW World Television Championship. - Saturn began to celebrate, sort of, but not really enthusiastically, just raising the WCW World Television Championship above his head, but that was it. Saturn grabbed a microphone as he calls out Raven and Kanyon, saying he doesn't care about if there is two of them and one of him, he just wants a piece of Raven for last night, as well as Kanyon for siding with the guy he thought was his enemy. No answer, but Saturn tells the audience he'll have to go find them. - We go to the aisle once again as Gene Okerlund mentions the happenings from last night's match between Bill Goldberg and Curt Hennig, showing shots of that match, also hyping the Encore Presentation of Great American Bash for tomorrow night as Curt Hennig and Rick Rude walk out, now sporting the black and white colors, as Hennig tells us that last night, he was not at his high speed, his highest power or ability. Hennig tells Okerlund that last night was a one-off night against Goldberg, and that he was not feeling so bright yesterday whatsoever. Rick Rude tells us that Curt Hennig at his highest power is an unstoppable force, bigger than Goldberg. Hennig then brings out The Giant as he walks out with a cigarette in his mouth, the crowd booing him. Hennig and Rude leave as Giant calls out Goldberg for a certain big event called Bash At The Beach. Giant laughs before leaving. - We see shots of last night's match for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship between Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis, in which Psychosis won. - We go to Chris Jericho in the backstage area, as he is talking to Juventud Guerrera, talking to Juvi about Guerrera trying his best and unfortunately not succeeding. Jericho tells Guerrera that he has on-and-off nights, everybody has them, Jericho then tells Juvi that he has to dash, as he has to go and get ready for his match with Scott Hall. - Scott Steiner defeated Norman Smiley in 7:11. This was actually a fairly decent match, and not the squash we were all expecting, suprisingly enough. Smiley put up a fight despite losing to Steiner, as Smiley applied alot of armlocks and did some comical stuff, like the Big Wiggle thing he does. Brian Adams accompanied Big Poppa Pump to the ring, by the way, but didn't really do much. Smiley hit a nice powerslam, it looked like that could of ended up, but nope, I was wrong. Steiner eventually caught Norman jumping off the top rope, and applied the bearhug, nailing the Belly-to-Back Suplex and applying the Steiner Recliner for the win. - Scott Steiner celebrated as Lex Luger rushed down the aisle, running off Steiner, deja vu of last night's Great American Bash extravaganza. Luger called out Steiner for Bash at the Beach. - Third hour pyrotechnics. - Bill Goldberg defeated Brian Adams in 6:55. This was the match we were supposed to see last week on WCW Monday Nitro, unfortunately, it was turned into a tag team match, to bring the star power up, since it had the misfortune of falling under the main event position. I've got to say, Goldberg is so over now, he should be on his way to becoming a true main eventer, and we need a new main eventer, ya know outside of Roddy Piper to represent WCW against the two nWo factions. I was impressed by Adams, he did some good work and it wasn't one-sided one bit. Goldberg hit the Spear and the impressive Jackhammer for the win. - Bill Goldberg celebrated as he yelled 'The Giant is next' into the camera. - Apparently, James J. Dillon has an announcement for next week's edition of WCW Monday Nitro. - A mysterious hype promo. - We hear the theme of Bret Hart as the audience begins to boo the WCW World Heavyweight Champion loudly, Gene Okerlund is already waiting in the ring. Bret begins to make his way down the aisle, as he climbs into the ring and gets on the microphone. He reminds us of Hollywood Hogan's challenge on the Monday 1st June edition of Monday Nitro. Hart then reminds us that on the Thursday Thunder following Nitro, Hart himself cut a promo about waiting until after Great American Bash had passed over. Hart tells us that it's been twenty-four hours since then and he's ready for Hollywood Hogan. Bret tells Hogan to meet him next Monday on Nitro to agree on a friendly battle for power in the nWo at Bash At The Beach. - The cage lowers from the rafters. - Roddy Piper draws Randy Savage in a steel-cage match in 9:38. These two had a hard-fought and heated battle, it involved many high-spots like Piper and Savage just trading blows from the get-go before getting more and more intense, involving the cage. There was a little cut on Piper's forehead as Savage hit his amazing diving axe handle from the top of the cage as the two began to ram each other's heads into the cage. I think Savage was busted hardway at one point, he got his head rammed harsh into the cage door, and a bit of blood came pouring from the eye. Piper applied a Sleeper Hold before Savage got out of it and gained momentum. Piper went up to the top of the cage getting ready to escape but Savage climbed up as well, both men balancing on the top of the cage before Piper knocks out Savage, but Savage falls on Piper, dragging both men down to the canvas! - Both men remain unconscious as officials rush around the cage, wanting to attend to the unconscious superstars as nWo Wolfpack members and WCW midcarders also try to help! WCW Monday Nitro goes off the air...
