The Slayer/Testament/Carcass show was pretty good. I finally got to see the "Angel of Death" double bass solo in person. Tom called out their new sound guy for sucking it up during the first few songs of the show but he was mostly messing around and was glad it sounded good to us cause it apparently didn't to him. We were on the 2nd level right above the sound/light guys and I was as impressed with how the light guy worked the board throughout the show as I was the actual bands performing.

Well the Megadeth/Suicidal Tendencies/Children of Bodom/Havok show delivered, overall I probably enjoyed it more than the Slayer show last night.
Havok: Like Carcass, I didn't know much about them but it didn't take long for me to take a liking to them. "From the Cradle to the Grave" and "Give Me Liberty...Or Give Me Death" were really good. During "Give Me Liberty" the bass player walked around the left side aisle the entire song and played while people surrounded him and took pictures of him and high fived him. Cool stuff.
Children of Bodom: Definitely not a Bodom crowd tonight, the crowd mostly used their performance to get booze or go to the merch table. They performed just fine but they didn't talk much between songs but that could've been due to their English not being top notch.
Suicidal Tendencies: Easily the best performance of the weekend. I haven't seen a band play with that much energy and enthusiasm since I saw Killswitch Engage in 2013. The crowd was going nuts and everyone in the band was flawless. But best of all, I got to see Dave Lombardo, the man who's the main reason why I have a drumset in my basement I play everyday. I assume he's just playing them for this tour but I wouldn't mind them making a record together.
Megadeth: Megadeth, well, is Megadeth. They were great, though they kind of had the same problem that Slayer had which was "since we're the headliner, we have to be so much louder than the other bands that at times it'll sound like we're playing a jumbled mess of randomness" but overall they killed it. Dave talked a lot between songs and joked around with the crowd, Dave is quite the clever jokester. All in all, hell of a great weekend that was well worth every single penny I put into it.
