Die hard till the day I die! I like a few other genres, but I can and do listen to Metal every single day.
Machine Head Slipknot Static-X Burn Halo [not exactly metal, but...] Metallica Papa Roach Slayer Dope Motorhead Megadeth MuDvAyNe Mushroomhead Pantera Damageplan HELLYEAH
I'm not going into everything I listen to, that would take ENTIRELY too long, and I'm just not motivated to do so.

Calling Cradle of Filth metal is like calling balsa wood good house-building material. Ummm yeah okay. They are definitely metal. Black Metal to be specific....at least I think. And last I checked, Black Metal is a descendant of....*gasp* METAL! Oh and sry for not editing my other post....i'm really tired and don't feel like jumping through hoops to copy the entire thing for this quote.

Why do you have such a problem with it? Music is my life... Why should anyone care what some douche on the internet thinks about what I choose to listen to. Why shouldn't I discover more bands? Because a prick like you says because you have heard of and like hundreds of bands means you are either lying or have no life? You sir are the biggest bunghole this thread has ever seen... congrats. Wow what prize do i get?? Maybe another EMOTIONAL reply to tell me how you don't care what i think or write?? Realistically you do care what i think or you will read this and say "i dont care what this douche thinks" and click away from the thread. But i doubt that happens. ... You really aren't worth the time of day. I saw your incredibly ignorant posts and initially wasn't going to say anything but I was so blown away that there was ACTUALLY someone that was that big of a dick to come in here and post crap like that... then I realized that you aren't really that much of a douche and just want people to think that about you over the internet... Yup... Because you are actually that cool...

Realistically you do care what i think or you will read this and say "i dont care what this douche thinks" and click away from the thread. But i doubt that happens. I have basically every song/album from almost all the metal bands listed there. That doesn't mean I have no life. It means music is my life. I play drums, guitar, bass and sing. I'm in many bands. I have about 16000 songs. So yeah music is my life. But, it is not something that takes away from other things. Because, one can listen to music, while riding the bus to school, falling asleep, surfing the web, hanging out with friends, eating, etc. While having playing and listening to music my favorite things to do, I am also able to balance schoolwork, hanging out with friends, the wrestling team, and model congress with some free time. So, I can be a huge metalhead and music fanatic and still have a life. And if you don't believe the song thing...

i need to go get some metal albums, give me 10 right now! As for you... Crack the Skye - Mastodon Ashes of the Wake - Lamb of God Kill 'Em All - Metallica Reign in Blood - Slayer Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden Twilight of the Thundergod - Amon Amarth Shogun - Trivium Colony - In Flames Dead Heart in a Dead World - Nevermore There are some essentials for guys just starting out. Use the genius feature on iTunes to help suggest some more ideas based on these. These are also some of the most mainstream metal bands but, those are where you start out then you go deeper in as you get more into it.

I just wanted to say, after listening to Time Waits For No Slave[i/] by Napalm Death, it is such a solid, good quality, and overall brutal album. Great riffs and vocals throughout. It's fast, punches you in the face and doesn't slow down. Just like the title, it doesn't wait for you, its just pure fast brutality. Easily one of 2009's best releases so far.
EDIT Not to mention, easily Napalm Death's best release EVER. Period. No questions asked. By a landslide. By a mile. No make that ten miles. I'm sorry old school fans. IMHO its better than Scum. Because it is more of a death metal approach than a punk approach (not saying they are punk, but ND fans will know what I mean) by the length of the songs and the quality of the audio.

That's good to hear. I liked Smear Campaign a bit. Do you think I would like the new album?
Also, I would like to add that I never figured a metal thread would last this long on wfigs. haha

I don't know if you guys follow them or not but here is the cover of the new album (to be released July 14 as of right now) Regular EditionSpecial EditionI can't wait for this.

I respect Devildriver as I've heard few of their songs. Not into them much though. I really enjoy their Wasted Years cover.

He could be lying, but then again, not every band in that list was a metal band, now was it? And if he has no life, then neither do I, as I have heard most of the bands he listed, and could care less what people deem 'lifeworthy' or otherwise... Ok sure. in this day and age it's EASILY possible he listens to that many bands.
