Man, he was a classic..Come to think of it, I wish they had made a CS fig of him......One thing for sure it wasnt steriods. Of course it wasn't... he was 56 and had diabetes. Do the math. Either way... R.I.P Buddy. He's not your buddy, friend.
He's not your friend, guy.
He's not your guy, buddy. He was only 56? He looked 50 in the AWA. I always laughed when he'd correct the ref and say he was skinny. It was even more funny when the ref would say he was skinny and he'd tell him he lost weight and is even skinnier.

This is sad. Any loss to wrestling is a loss to wrestling regardless. He wasn't a great wrestler but for his size he could do some cool things. R.I.P Buddy Rose.

I'm a bit more affected by this than any other death so far. When I was a kid, I was fat & had the same color hair as Buddy. My brothers noticed a resemblance & started calling me the same thing the crowds would call Buddy, "Fat Boy".
He really didn't get a push the first time he was in the WWE, but he was one of the greatest heels in the Portland area, having feuds with Roddy Piper & Dr. D David Schultz.
Goodnight, Fat Boy. May the earth lay light on your bones.

This isn't meant offensively, but as soon as I heard he had died, I immediately thought DIABEETUS! It's always sad to lose a wrestler to death, but as a sad bi-product, Playboy will be clumped in with all of the other "wrestler deaths". He is on the same list as Test and Chris Benoit and will be looked at as just another dead wrestler.

The feud between Buddy & Doug against the Midnight Rockers has a very special place in my memory. I was emotionally invested in that feud and it laid the seed for me to become the hardcore HBK fan that I am today. Buddy could get a laugh with his "slim, trim 217lbs" antics but he could get heat with some brilliant heel psychology & solid old school wrestling skills. You parted too soon, buddy. Go with God.
