More Simpsons is always a good thing Only if its series 4 - 10. After that the show went way downhill in my opinion. Instead of witty, situation-based humour, we got wacky antics and stupid situations. Dont get me wrong, its by no means terrible and I still get a good laugh from it now and again, but its just not as good and should have ended years ago. Just my opinion.

I completely agree, not sure about it ending though, I'd have hated to see it end but yes, it's not as good as it once was.

Agreed, i loved the older ones. Best thing about simpsons is when i was younger it was just a cartoon, never noticed the hints that Smithers is gay and stuff like that!

Was hoping to see "it's finally coming to an end " for the reasons Ste said. The film must have been a sign to show it was starting to get ing awful. And this is coming from someone who was anticipating the movie for about 8 years.

grew out of it years ago. As others said they got silly and not as funny in the later series. Good for those who still enjoy it though

I hope they show the older ones to, for the reasons Ste stated. I checked the TV guide and the first two episodes on Monday will be an old Treehouse Of Horror one and Bart sells his soul, hopefully that's a good thing for people who prefer the old episodes. Does anyone remember the really old episodes that were a bit more serious, like Homer trying to kill himself and Marge having an affair?

Yep, In the first series, I prefer to middle era of simpsons like people said above but i still like it now, The movie was definatly not as good as it could of been but its still makes me laugh sometimes

The movie was awful, and thats being kind. I had such high hopes for it when critics said it was back on par with the Simpsons at its height. Then I got to see it and the main jokes are "spiderpig" and "crazy boob lady".
Dont know why they bothered.

It just felt like a long episode, it did nothing to move on the continuity of the series and was just flat.
