its not Bruce Wayne's skull that Black Hand has as the body put in the grave was a fake as Bruce Wayne didnt die. from what i've read there's a strong chance that its actually Nekron's skull that he is carrying, especially since he said the Black Lantern oath while holding the skull and its what started the dead returning as Black Lanterns. and you are correct, the Blackest Night: Batman mini will not deal with Bruce Wayne at all. Bruce is in no way involved with Blackest Night. he's not deceased. Bruce's story is supposed to pick up a bit after Blackest Night when the heroes realize that he didnt return as a Black Lantern and thats he still alive and The Search For Batman will begin. WE know that Bruce isnt dead and thats not his skull or grave. But Dick and Damian dont. They still think his skull is missing. I heard that Bruce is stuck in some sort of temporal world or something. Sounds awful. yes. but you said that YOU wanted to know who took HIS skull and why. so i answered. Black Hand took the fake Bruce Wayne skull. the why hasnt been revealed yet, but its been strongly hinted that its Nekron's skull or the skull that will allow him back into New Earth's realm. if you knew Black Hand took the skull and you knew it was a fake, why ask the question that you did?

I really liked how they showcase what these folks do with their powers now that they are evil.Aquaman was hardcore with that shark attack

Really loved the 3rd Blackest Night issue. I was really glad to see some more development on the indigo lanterns too.

I can't say I would want the Blackest Night to be simple nor do I see how it could. I feel that Johns can make it complicated enough to have an exceptional story but not having it too complicated to a point where you have to look up everything that is happening and read a bunch of issues over to know what is happening.

I just felt 3 was going in so many directions. I fear its going to go in even more.

Does anyone else hate how it seems to not matter if you read tie-ins like Teen Titans or Batman becuase they aren't really doing anything for the story?
And after reading Green Lantern 48 and Blackest Night 5 Larfleeze has probably become one of my favorite characters.

I only bought tie-ins to get rings! Indeed. Though I did pick up the first two Blackest Night Batman issues too.

Probably the most interesting thing to come out of almost any of the tie-ins was in Teen Titans with Dove and how her heart can't been taken by Black Lanterns with the whole white light thing, which hopefully will transpire into something cool.

I am loving this story although I have limited my purchases to the actual Blackest Night issues and whatever tie-ins that came with the rings.
I must say that I did enjoy the other parts of the "trilogy" (Rebirth and SC War) better, but my opinion may change when this is all done.

the GL-related tie-ins are good and actually contribute to the story as a whole. the other tie-ins are more for those characters. like the Blackest Night: Batman mini is more a Batman story and it isnt a necessary compliment to Blackest Night. you could miss it and still know whats going on. miss an issue of GL and you'll miss something big.

i've gotten a good handful of the variants, particularly the batman and supes ones. might bother with the titans and so forth just to have the full story, but i'll read them either way.

So question on the latest issue:
spoilers:
I haven't been reading the tie-in issues, but according to what I have read, when a person becomes a Red Lantern, they lose all of the blood from their body. So since Mera is only deputized as a Red Lantern for 24 hours, shouldn't that mean that she will die when she loses her ring after the 24 hours are up?

As announced on the DC site after Blackest Night ends Brightest Day will kick off in April starting with issue #0 which will be a bi-weekly 26 issue series. The writers will be Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi.
The whole light angle isn't a surprise, I didn't think it would be a whole new event but it is kind of neat. Hopefully it wont turn out to be stupid.
