WCW Monday Nitro - Monday 8th July 1996 Lake Buena Vista, Florida - 21:00-21:03 - The letters 'nWo' appeared on the screen, as a voice was heard, saying that this 'public service announcement' was being paid for by the New World Order. We then went to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall laughing around, saying that Operation hostile takeover was a massive success, because the third man shocked the entire world and they now display a threat towards World Championship Wrestling! The former loved All-American, Hulk Hogan appeared, stepping onto the screen wearing black and white, as he grinned, shades covering his face. Hogan spoke as he stood between Hall and Nash, the trio in front of a graffiti-covered brick wall, saying that the New World Order in professional wrestling has arrived, and they were here to poison WCW. - 21:03-21:06 - The opening WCW Monday Nitro video package played, as we went LIVE to the arena for two hours of Nitro, live from Lake Buena Vista, Florida! Tony Schiavone, Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan introduce us to the show and run down the card, a tremendous show scheduled for us, talking alot about Hulk Hogan's transformation into the evil nWo faction. In our main event, however, it is scheduled to be Sting taking on Steve "Mongo" McMichael of the Four Horsemen, plus The Giant would also be in action, as well as the current WCW World Television Champion, Lex Luger & Dean Malenko would also be in action, defending the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship. - 21:06-21:17 - "The Man of 1,000 Holds" Dean Malenko defeated Psychosis to retain the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship This was a great way to start off this edition of WCW Monday Nitro, as it featured the WCW World Cruiserweight Champion battle the man that put on a phenomenal, losing-effort to Rey Mysterio Jr; Psychosis. Psychosis did good here, however, as he kept the champion on his toes, managing to get in alot of high-flying offense and could of swept up the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, but Dean managed to use his technical-based mat-wrestling ability to block it off, repeatedly locking the luchadore in submissions. Psychosis eventually went to hit a missile dropkick, but Malenko caught him, applying the Cloverleaf for the win! ***1/4 - 21:17-21:18 - Dean Malenko celebrated as the referee handed him the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, the announcers putting over a contenders match for next week, as Chris Jericho will go nose-to-nose with the debuting Ultimate Dragon, the winner facing Dean Malenko for his WCW World Cruiserweight Championship at Hog Wild! - 21:18-21:21 - Commercial break. - 21:21-21:31 - A new theme played, as it appeared as though the New World Order were scheduled to arrive now, as the screen effects went black-and-white, not leading to too many good things, as Hulk Hogan led Scott Hall and Kevin Nash out, all three wearing black and in shades, as the crowd really booed the living daylights out of them. Scott Hall entered the ring first, Kevin Nash following as the two pointed over at the arrogant Hulk Hogan. Hall grabbed a microphone from announcer, David Penzer, as Hall said that he found operation hostile takeover to be a big occurance. Hall talked about how it effected World Championship Wrestling, saying how him, Nash and Hogan all derived from the promotion in 'New York', and had came to Atlanta to try and make some noise, and to get retribution at both the 'New York promotion' AND WCW by rebelling. Nash took the mic from there, talking about how he had always been told he was a dire performer, but now Nash was there showing everybody wrong, proving everybody wrong also, as he said the nWo would continue to drag in talent treated unfairly by WCW, and they would pull them all in until WCW was dead and buried, and nWo ran the show! Hulk Hogan then took the microphone as he said that he now wants to be adressed as 'Hollywood Hogan', not 'Hulk Hogan', because he is too 'sahweet' for a foolish name like 'Hulk'. Hogan says that The Giant is the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and that he has had a really long history with the big man. Hogan calls Giant out, saying that he'd like him to represent WCW and rebel against the New World Order! Giant then made his way out to the arena, accompanied by Jimmy Hart, to a good reaction from the audience. Giant talked about how he wants to represent WCW by taking down the New World Order one-by-one! Hogan says that is nice, but he cannot do that, because Hogan can deny a challenge, because he is better than Giant! Giant then sweetens the deal, rearranging it so it is Hollywood Hogan challenging for The Giant's WCW World Heavyweight Championship at WCW Hog Wild, on August 10th 1996! Hogan accepts as Jimmy looks concerned! - 21:31-21:35 - Commercial break. - 21:35-21:42 - Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs defeated "Squire" David Taylor and "Lord" Steven Regal This wasn't too grand of a match-up, here, as Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs were clean off of a double-dog collar victory over Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock of the Public Enemy, at last night's Bash at the Beach pay-per-view event. Steven Regal and David Taylor held up a fight in the ring, as Knobbs and Saggs hit a fairly good double-flapjack on Taylor, managing to work over Taylor, and keep him away from getting the tag to Regal. Regal got the tag, but got taken out by a bionic elbow, cortesy of Knobbs, as the Nasty Boys then hit the "Trip to Nastyville" on Regal leading to victory! ** - 21:42-21:43 - The Nasty Boys, Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs continued their celebration, tossing "Squire" David Taylor through the ropes to the floor, leaving the ring and heading towards the backstage area. - 21:43-21:45 - Commercial break. - 21:45-21:54 - Rey Mysterio Jr defeated Eddy Guerrero This was a solid match-up here, as the young Rey Mysterio Jr competed in singles action against another talented superstar from Mexico, Eddy Guerrero. Both men had a lot of furious offense, as it appeared as though the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair was paying close attention to this match. Mysterio had to of been fatigued from the previous night, having which fought in the match of the night - quality wise, against Psychosis, in a twenty minute battle. Eddy did some sneaky tactics, but if anything he looked like a babyface, as it seemed. The audience were really behind Rey Mysterio Jr, also, and he showed that off, flaunting some acrobatic moves against Eddy. Eddy eventually missed his Frog Splash, but Rey hit his frankensteiner for the three! ***3/4 - 21:54-21:56 - Rey Mysterio Jr celebrated, having just defeated Eddy Guerrero in a great back-and-forth match. He leaves the ring, heading up the aisleway, as the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair grins, going to shake Mysterio's hand. Rey declines it though, shaking his head and leaving! Flair looked embarrassed as he followed. - 21:56-21:59 - Commercial break. - 21:59-22:00 - First hour pyrotechnics. - 22:00-22:06 - Booker T and Stevie Ray defeated Steve Armstrong and Scott Armstrong This was a fairly entertaining tag team match here, as it showed Booker T and Stevie Ray of Harlem Heat in action, as the two brothers from Harlem fought another two brothers, two members of the Armstrong Brothers; Steve and Scott. Scott and Booker started things off, as Scott attempted to go for the mat-based style, but Booker overpowered him and forced Scott around. Stevie Ray and Booker T eventually finished off Scott without Steve ever being involved, the Heat Bomb finishing him off for the win. **1/4 - 22:06-22:07 - Harlem Heat celebrate, following their easy victory over Steve and Scott of the Armstrong Brothers. - 22:06-22:09 - Commercial break. - 22:09-22:19 - "The Total Package" Lex Luger defeated Hugh Morrus to retain the WCW World Television Championship These two members of this contest managed to put on an actually pretty solid contest, as Lex Luger went in there fresh off of his elimination during the tag team hostile-takeover match, last night at Bash at the Beach. Luger did had some energy in there, he wore a bandage over his ribs, however. Luger hit numerous lariats and attacks on Morrus, even hitting a unique dropkick, that was new. Wasn't a fully cruiserweight-style dropkick, but wow. Morrus eventually regained some offense, but Luger finished off Morrus with a Torture Rack! **3/4 - 22:19-22:23 - Lex Luger began to celebrate, following his defense of the WCW World Television Championship against Hugh Morrus. That's when Scott Hall and Kevin Nash came to the ring, as Luger tried to fight both men off, but it was just too much for Luger to fight off! Nash nailed the Jackknife Powerbomb on Luger as The Outsiders stood over an unconscious Lex Luger. - 22:23-22:26 - Commercial break. - 22:26-22:30 - - 22:30-22:34 - The Giant defeated "Jumpin'" Joey Maggs in a non-title match This was a squash match here, as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, The Giant managed to get some anger out of him, to try and probably motivate himself up for the match for his WCW World Heavyweight Championship at WCW Hog Wild against Hollywood Hogan. Jumpin' Joey didn't succeed at all, he jumped into a thunderous punch from Giant at the get-go, as Giant tossed him around like a doll, before lifting and slamming Maggs with a Chokeslam for the win! *1/2 - 22:34-22:35 - The Giant began to celebrate with his manager, Jimmy Hart, as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion had defeated "Jumpin'" Joey Maggs here on this edition of WCW Monday Nitro. The announcers hype Giant vs Hogan for Hog Wild. - 22:35-22:39 - Commercial break. - 22:39-22:48 - Sting defeated Steve "Mongo" McMichael by disqualification. These two men put on a fairly entertaining contest, to be honest with you. It featured Sting starting things off in there trying to knock down the larger athlete, "Mongo", as Sting tried everything in his power, but Steve McMichael managed to reverse, as he did, working away at the carcuss of Sting, pounding on him for numerous minutes. Steve managed to take Sting down as he attempted to set up for the Three Point Stance, rushing at Sting, only for the Stinger to dodge him, as McMichael nailed the turnbuckle! Sting ran up and nailed a Stinger Splash, hitting a Scorpion Death Drop before going to follow up with the finale, the Scorpion Deathlock! He applied it, but Scott Hall and Kevin Nash walked down the aisleway, Nash climbing into the ring RIGHT there and attacking Sting! **3/4 - 22:48-22:51 - Kevin Nash and Scott Hall attacked Sting, as the resilient Sting - like his comrade, Lex Luger tried to do - attempted to fend off The Outsiders from the New World Order. It was too good to be true, however as Hall delivered a Razor's Edge on Sting! Lex Luger then came running down the rampway, Luger helping Sting up as the four began to brawl back-and-forth! WCW Monday Nitro went off the air!

I like the New World Order starting off Nitro. Everyone would be tuning in to see them and it is a good way to hype the stable and keep the viewers wondering what will happen next.
Nice opening contest to kick off the action with the cruiserweights. I am happy Dean retained his title and I hope his continues to dominate the division. I hope Jericho goes on to face Malenko at Hog Wild.
Interesting nWo and Giant segment, I wonder if this will lead to Giant swerving and aligning with the nWo.
I love Regal and Taylor, I hope they get a push. Not a huge fan of the Nasty Boys at this point as they are just not great in the ring.
Rey and Eddy was a good match to keep the action rolling and to rebound from the less spectacular tag match. I am happy Rey got the win. I like Flair watching the match and trying to shake Rey’s hand, only to get denied.
I love Harlem Heat, they were amazing. The Armstrong Brothers, I can’t remember the last time I thought about them. Nice win for HH. Nice TV title match and I am happy Lex went over though I would love for that title to get around the waist of someone who needs it. I love The Outsiders attacking him post match.
What a win for The Giant! Ha, whatever it works and gets him in action.
I like Nash and Hall causing the DQ for the main event. I love the four men brawling to end Nitro.
Overall, a solid show and I love that the nWo’s presence is being felt.

nWo had to open Nitro so good call there. Solid match, glad Dean retained. Hogan/Giant is fine, figure Hogan will win. I'd actually like for Giant to stay in WCW to switch things up possibly. Glad Nasty Boys won there. Rey/Eddie was always a solid match. Wonder what's up there with Flair/Rey, maybe a future match for them? HH winning their tag match was fine as well. Hopefully Luger drops his TV Title eventually and moves up further; good attack after, maybe you do have plans for Luger. Giant win was fine. Sting over Mongo is fine as well, although it was by DQ. On paper I feel like that is a little weak of a main event for Nitro. But I liked the ending with nWo involvement to get them over.

Nice way to open Nitro with the nWo, nicely written segment. MALENKO, nice to see him pick up a win & it'll be interesting to see whether Jericho or Ultimo faces him since Malenko/Jericho is all kinds of good but Ultimo needs to look good in his debut. The nWo/Giant segment was my favorite part of the show, well written out, I'm really interested to see how you handle the nWo stuff and you've started off the build well. Guerrero/Mysterio sounded great, Horsemen build possibly with Flair looking for potential candidates, Flair/Mysterio shall be good if you head down that path. Harlem Heat always pissed me off because Booker was so obviously carrying the team, that said I hope that Booker recieves a push one way or the other. Luger/Morris was a nice segue into an nWo beatdown. Sting/Mongo is a decent main event & again there to serve the purpose of an nWo beatdown, I do like the Sting/Luger pairing but I think for their first Nitro it would've served better if nWo were standing tall to really put them & their takeover over at the end of the show. Overall a solid show, wasn't anything really memorable other than the nWo stuff, but I expect that to dominate this diary so it's all good. Keep it up.

Good start. I wonder if you will use the Crow gimmick with Sting? I'll be reading.

WCW Saturday Night - Satuday 13th July 1996 Orlando, Florida - 18:05-18:07 - The opening WCW Saturday Night video package aired, as we go live to Orlando Studios for WCW Saturday Night, 'live' and presented by Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes. They remind us of the happenings from this past week, starting at the Bash at the Beach, last Sunday, in which Hulk Hogan turned out to be the third man in the invasion of WCW by The Outsiders, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The next night on Nitro, they christened themselves the New World Order [nWo] as the trio wreaked havoc on such superstars as The Giant, Lex Luger and Sting! - 18:07-18:12 - Juventud Guerrera defeated Disco Inferno These two young cruiserweights put on a heck of a match-up here on this two-hour edition of WCW Saturday Night. Disco and Juvi traded athletic moves, but Inferno took his mind off of the young luchadore for a few moments, dancing to the crowd, as Juvi hit a springboard tornado DDT for the win! ***1/4 - 18:12-18:13 - Juventud Guerrera celebrates, as Tony Schiavone catches a word with the luchadore, in which Juvi spoke in spanish. He said something about the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship though. - 18:13-18:17 - Commercial break. - 18:17-18:20 - Michael Wallstreet defeated Prince Iaukea This was a very short match-up here, as Michael Wallstreet didn't do a major big deal of stuff in there against the WCW PowerPlant student, Prince Iaukea. Iaukea got in a nice dropkick, but that was it. A running lariat finished it for Wallstreet to pick up the win. *3/4 - 18:20-18:21 - Michael Wallstreet celebrated his victory over Prince Iaukea. - 18:21-18:25 - Commercial break. - 18:25-18:30 - Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs defeated Billy Kidman and Chris Canyon Well, this was another squash match, to put over the young, exciting team of Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs against two more students of the WCW PowerPlant, Billy Kidman and Chris Canyon. Canyon was in first, he got in a few shots, but not alot. Bagwell eventually hit a diving neckbreaker from the top for the win over Kidman. ** - 18:30-18:32 - Tony Schiavone caught a word with the duo of Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs, as Bagwell talked about being in WCW to get some publicity, and they would do just that when they begin their journey and capture the WCW World Tag Team Championships soon. - 18:32-18:36 - Commercial break. - 18:36-18:39 - We go to the live studio here, in Orlando, Florida as Gene Okerlund is in the ring as Randy "Macho Man" Savage began to make his way out to the arena to a loud reaction, walking down the aisleway and meeting Okerlund, Gene asking Savage about the New World Order. Savage talked about how he was mad at how the nWo think they can easily hijack WCW like they hijacked and dominated that 'company in New York', but Savage said he wouldn't allow that here. Savage said that he wanted Scott Hall in the ring on Nitro, Monday, as Okerlund left the ring. - 18:39-18:42 - Randy "Macho Man" Savage defeated "Earl" Bobby Eaton Randy Savage didn't have too much of a battle with Bobby Eaton, as the former Midnight Express member gave "Macho Man" a few shots, but when going up for his missile dropkick [it was innovative - five years ago], he missed. Savage hit the Diving Elbow Drop for the win. ** - 18:42-18:43 - Randy "Macho Man" Savage celebrates, getting up-close to the camera and saying that he was coming for Scott Hall on Nitro this Monday. - 18:43-18:47 - Commercial break. - 18:47-18:54 - Meng and The Barbarian defeated Kenny Chaos and Robbie Rage This was a fairly decent match-up here, as the Faces of Fear were accompanied to the ring by Kevin Sullivan, representing the recently-turned face faction of the Dungeon of Doom. High Voltage actually are pretty agile for being big ripped guys. Meng finished Robbie off with a big splash. **1/4 - 18:54-18:55 - The Faces of Fear celebrate their victory. - 18:55-18:59 - Commercial break. - 18:59-19:09 - "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright defeated Greg "The Hammer" Valentine This was a fairly decent match-up here, it was pretty back-and-forth. Greg Valentine still has alot of good wrestling skill and ability in him.Wright was over, as Valentine got some good heat. Valentine got cradled up attempting the Figure-Four Leglock causing Wright to win. *** - 19:09-19:11 - Greg "The Hammer" Valentine got ticked off, following his pinfall loss to the young German, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, as Valentine attacked Wright from behind, the official having to attend to Wright. - 19:11-19:15 - Konnan defeated The Gambler These two put on an okay match, Konnan was over here, as he battled The Gambler. It was mainly all-Konnan in this one, as he put Gambler away with the Tequila Sunrise for the win. *1/2 - 19:15-19:17 - Konnan grabbed a microphone and started rapping, as the crowd loved him. He said he deserved another shot at the WCW US Heavyweight Championship before leaving. - 19:17-19:18 - A graphic appeared, it hyped up our main event; Public Enemy taking on the Nasty Boys in a rematch from Bash at the Beach. - 19:18-19:22 - Commercial break. - 19:22-19:28 - Ric Flair defeated Sgt. Craig Pittman This was a fairly decent match-up here, in this non-title contest, the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair going up against undercard worker, Craig Pittman. Pittman had a few punches in, really stiff chops by Flair. The champ got booed pretty loudly. The Figure-Four Leglock by Flair made Pittman tap in seconds. ** - 19:28-19:31 - Gene Okerlund joins the "Nature Boy", Ric Flair in the ring, as he celebrates his victory here on Saturday Night, Okerlund asking Ric for words following the scenario with Rey Mysterio Jr on Monday Nitro. Ric says that he's proud of Rey, but he needs respect, and he will show Rey that whenever he gets in the ring with the luchadore. - 19:31-19:35 - Commercial break. - 19:35-19:41 - "Diamond" Dallas Page defeated Kurosawa Not a whole lot is known about this Kurosawa guy, but then again he is supposed to be one of the descendents from Japan, as the masked cruiserweight took on the confident Dallas Page in this contest. Kurosawa did some acrobatics, but got caught eventually, in the Diamond Cutter for the win. **3/4 - 19:41-19:42 - "Diamond" Dallas Page begins to celebrate, as he signals, joking that "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan failed last Sunday at Bash at the Beach. - 19:42-19:44 - Live, on this Monday's edition of WCW Nitro, on TNT, it will be Scott Hall of the nWo taking on Randy "Macho Man" Savage, plus an opportunity for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship is at stake, as Chris Jericho and the debuting Ultimate Dragon compete. Plus more, on Monday night at 9pm! - 19:44-19:48 - Commercial break. - 19:48-19:49 - A promo airs, hyping up the debut of Glacier. - 19:49-19:51 - "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit defeated Jim Powers This one was over in no time. Purely out of Chris Benoit's killer momentum. Crippler Crossface attached in about thirty seconds, the match and entrances lasted a total of 01:23. - 19:51-19:55 - Commercial break. - 19:55-20:03 - Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs defeated Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge This was a hard-fought battle here, to close down an action-packed edition of Saturday Night. Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs worked as a team pretty well, the Nasty Boys hitting a decent flapjack on Johnny Grunge. Not as bad a match as I personally expected, but wasn't a five-star classic. Public Enemy had some momentum, just unable to get the victory in the end. Saggs ended it, sneaking in a trash can and slamming it over Grunge's head behind the official's back. Knobbs covered for the win. **1/4 - 20:03-20:04 - The Nasty Boys celebrated as Saturday Night went off the air.

Nice opening contest to kick off the show will good wrestling. I was happy with Juvi picking up the win.
--------
If Wallstreet is who I remember him to be I actually liked him. Nice to see two next generation stars before they come big in action. Savage challenging Hall was nice. Bobby Eaton, there is a name I haven't heard in awhile. Cool to see Macho get a decent win. Meng and The Barbarian are great, I hope they get a monster push. Happy Alex Wright versus Greg wasn't a squash. I am not a big fan of Alex Wright so him winning doesn't do anything special for me. The Gambler is someone I don't remember, so no big deal him getting squashed. Nice to see Flair in action. I like the Rey/Flair program that is going on. Okay win for DDP, nothing special. Nice to see Beniot crippling people. Nice main event to get two decent tag teams in action without wasting good Nitro time. Overall, an enjoyable show.

Forgot Sat Night was this long. Was hoping Disco would win but Juvi winning was fine. Wallstreet winning was fine, name sounds familiar but I barely remember him. Solid win for Savage; Savage/Hall would be a good match. Faces of Fear push plz. Wright winning was cool, I was a fan of his. The Gambler? Don't remember him. Heh, Sgt. Craig. Flair winning was the obvious call. Again DDP winning made sense. Fine win for Benoit in that squash there. Decent main event, could have gone either way. Show was fine for what it was, it served its purpose.

WCW Monday Nitro - Monday 15th July 1996 Orlando, Florida - 21:00-21:03 - The opening WCW Monday Nitro video package played, as we went LIVE to the arena for two hours of Nitro, live from Orlando, Florida! Tony Schiavone, Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan introduce us to the show and run down the card, a very hyped up show scheduled for tonight's edition of Nitro, to be headlined by Randy "Macho Man" Savage taking on a member of the New World Order, Scott Hall in what should be a great main event. Also hyped is Sting being in action, as well as the Steiner Brothers and Chris Jericho taking on the debuting Ultimate Dragon for a future shot at the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship tonight! - 21:03-21:10 - Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner defeated Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs These two teams put on a fairly okay match-up to kick off WCW Nitro, here tonight this Monday as the Steiner Brothers and the Nasty Boys seemed to click in the ring pretty well, if I do say so myself. Saggs and Rick were in there first, the Steiners having alot of offense before Scott ended up missing a Steinerline and Knobbs and Saggs went to work on Scotty. Eventually however, Scott fought back, as Rick took out Saggs, Scott finishing on Knobbs with the Frankensteiner for the win! **1/4 - 21:10-21:11 - The Steiner Brothers begin to celebrate, as the announcers hype up the fact that Rick and Scott will be getting a WCW World Tag Team Championship shot if they keep dominating the tag team division like this. - 21:11-21:15 - Commercial break. - 21:15-21:19 - The theme of the Dungeon of Doom plays throughout the arena causing the audience to cheer as The Giant wandered out alongside Kevin Sullivan and Jimmy Hart, Giant dressed in street gear, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, however. Sullivan grabbed a microphone from Gene Okerlund on the aisleway, as he promoted Giant's exterminating of this New World Order business by destroying Hollywood Hogan at WCW Hog Wild. Jimmy bragged about Giant being a great threat to Hogan during his time in WCW, and that he would overthrow Hogan come Hog Wild. Giant said that it'll be a hard battle, but if the Dungeon of Doom are able to avoid outside interference from the nWo members, he will be able to pick up the win. - 21:19-21:21 - As The Giant, Jimmy Hart and Kevin Sullivan leave, we go to Gene Okerlund again, as he introduces us to the American Males, Scotty Riggs and Marcus Alexander Bagwell, as the team enter, standing in front of the entranceway, Okerlund mentioning that next week on Nitro, the two young patriots have a big opportunity, as Bagwell and Riggs will challenge for Harlem Heat's WCW World Tag Team Championships. Bagwell does the talking, saying that they will try their best and do it for America. All Riggs does is nod along and say 'OH YEAH!'. - 21:21-21:25 - Commercial break. - 21:25-21:34 The Ultimate Dragon defeated "Lionheart" Chris Jericho to gain contention to the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship This was an amazing match-up here on WCW Nitro, as the debuting Ultimate Dragon impressed many with his acrobatic skills, "Lionheart" couldn't manage with the Dragon in the early goings of the match, Dragon using some stiff kicks and a sweet springboard moonsault [apparently called the 'Asai Moonsault']. Dean Malenko came out to watch this one. Jericho attempted to apply the Liontamer, but Ultimate Dragon reversed it, applying a deadly Dragon Sleeper as Jericho tapped out. ***3/4 - 21:34-21:35 - The Ultimate Dragon celebrated as the WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, Dean Malenko stared him down, the two meeting at WCW Hog Wild for the title. - 21:35-21:39 - Commercial break. - 21:39-21:40 - A hype graphic airs, promoting the main event for tonight's edition of WCW Nitro, as Randy "Macho Man" Savage and Scott Hall will collide! - 21:40-21:47 - Meng and The Barbarian defeated Scott "Flash" Norton and Ice Train This was a fairly entertaining match-up here, as Scott Norton and The Barbarian started things off, both men exchanging hard-hitting blows. This was a decent slugfest, at heart. Meng got the tag as the Faces of Fear seemed to be having their way with Norton. Ice Train eventually got the tag as he came in, and then Fire & Ice had the offense in their favor. Meng eventually finished it however, hitting a Samoan drop on Train for the win. **1/2 - 21:47-21:48 - Meng and The Barbarian of the Faces of Fear celebrate in the ring. - 21:48-21:51 - Rey Mysterio, Jr was allowed a video package, showing off his acrobatic luchadore style. After the video package, we see the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, as he shakes his head at the television monitor, watching the Mysterio video package. - 21:51-21:55 - Commercial break. - 21:55-22:04 - We hear the theme of Lex Luger play throughout the arena, as the crowd pop, the WCW World Television Champion himself, Lex Luger walking out to the arena. Luger is pretty over, to be honest. Luger walked down the aisleway and climbed into the ring, as he grabbed a microphone, saying that he didn't know about the fans, but he was pretty sick and tired of all of this New World Order invasion rubbish. Luger says that they need to stand a front against the nWo and tonight, he will be at ringside for Randy "Macho Man" Savage if Hollywood Hogan or Kevin Nash were to get involved! Luger then brings out Sting, as he walks out to the arena, telling Lex that he's always been out for him, as 'Stinger' talks about being in this business not for glory, for the pride and toughness. Sting says that the nWo are what is tainting the business with their evil reputation and it ends at Hog Wild! Luger is asked by Sting if he wants to team with him for Hog Wild to take on Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in respective matches. Luger accepts, asking if he can have some of Kevin Nash! Sting and Luger high-five. - 22:04-22:08 - Commercial break. - 22:08-22:15 - Arn Anderson with Steve "Mongo" McMichael defeated "Lord" Steven Regal This wasn't too bad of a match, but it definately wasn't match of the night by a long shot. Steven Regal was alone out there, whereas Arn Anderson was accompanied to the ring by Steve "Mongo" McMichael for some reason. Anderson and Regal put on a decent showing, I suppose, wrestling more of a technical style, with alot of chain wrestling in which Regal looked to be gaining advantage in at many moments in time. Anderson finished Regal off with a hard spinebuster for the win. **3/4 - 22:15-22:17 - Arn Anderson begins to celebrate, as he joins Steve "Mongo" McMichael in walking up the aisleway. Anderson is caught up with by Gene Okerlund as WCW US Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair appears to a loud reaction. Flair tells Okerlund that Arn Anderson and Steve McMichael have done their part, and now it is Chris Benoit's time to shine, because up next he will be taking on Rey Mysterio, Jr! - 22:17-22:21 - Commercial break. - 22:21-22:34 - Rey Mysterio, Jr defeated "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit with Woman by disqualification This was a kickass match which was allocated alot of time limit, which is very lucky considering it was a cruiserweight match for the main part. Ric Flair watched on from the aisleway as Rey Mysterio, Jr did alot of acrobatic attacks against the "Canadian Crippler". Chris managed to slow Mysterio down, however, nailing a harsh German Suplex. Benoit then managed to wear down Rey, working over his shoulder. Benoit eventually went for the Crippler Crossface, but Mysterio reversed out of it. Rey went for the Frankensteiner, but Benoit broke out of it, grabbing a lead pipe from Woman and slamming it into Rey's head in front of the referee! ***3/4 - 22:34-22:36 - "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit celebrated with Woman as the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair joined him in the ring, both standing tall over the luchadore, Rey Mysterio, Jr. Flair yells 'that's respect dammit' about twenty times in Rey's unconscious face. - 22:36-22:40 - Commercial break. - 22:40-22:54 - Scott Hall defeated Randy "Macho Man" Savage with Lex Luger This was a great main event to close down this edition of WCW Monday Nitro, live on TNT. Savage and Hall traded blows back-and-forth for a little while, as the WCW World Television Champion, Lex Luger stood at ringside, his arms folded watching the action in the ring. Savage was worked over by Hall, as the 'Outsider' worked over Savage's ribs, Scott with a sneaky abdominal stretch. Savage eventually regained momentum, however as "Macho Man" fought back, knocking Hall down with a diving axe handle from the top rope! Savage went up top, preparing for the Savage Elbow Drop, but he got distracted! Luger got jumped by Kevin Nash at ringside! Hall knocked Savage down and nailed an Outsider's Edge for the win! *** - 22:54-22:57 - Scott Hall and Kevin Nash celebrated in the ring as Randy "Macho Man" Savage got back to his feet, trying to go after Hall, but Nash delivered a Jackknife Powerbomb on Savage! Lex Luger then tried to enter the ring, but both of the Outsiders managed to tame the WCW World Television Champion aswell! Sting runs down the aisleway, as he takes down both Hall and Nash once, but the numbers advantage gets the best of Sting! Nash hits a Jackknife Powerbomb on Sting, as Hollywood Hogan appeared on the entranceway, on the microphone, screaming 'nWo 4 Life' over and over as Nitro went off the air!

Decent opening contest to get The Steiner Brothers over. I am not a fan of The Nasty Boys so them jobbing doesn’t bother me at all. I like DOD’s promo to hype Hog Wild. I hope Giant retains the title, but that could potentially kill the now’s heat. American Males’s interview was okay, nothing special but it got the job done. I was surprised to see Dragon go over Jericho, but I am happy you didn’t bring him in to get squashed. Dragon versus Malenko should be a great match. The next tag match is not the best, but Meng and Barbarian picking up wins makes me happy. I like Flair not being happy with the Rey video. I like the Luger/Sting segment, it really got the job done to make some good matches. Very happy Anderson got a good win over Regal. I like the ending to Beniot versus Rey and the aftermath was great. I love how angry Flair is with Rey. The main event was terrific and the ending works well. I love that the now is being booked strong. This is going great thus far and I am excited for Saturday Night

Nice tag match to start off between solid teams, Steiners winning is cool. Could have gone either way. Would have liked Jericho to have won but again a solid match. Glad FOF won, I liked them. Like the unity shown there to try to take out The Outsiders. Fine win for Arn, never really been a fan of Regal. Good intensity from Flair and Benoit. Great main event, and solid ending to put the nWo over. One of the better shows you have put out overall, both diaries considered.

Nitro was a good read. overall solid booking and good description with all of the matches. Especially liked the Misterio/Benoit match as well as Jericho/Ultimo, which seemed like it was awesome. Liked the Giant promo, well written stuff there. Good main event, liked the ending, good job putting the NWO over there. cant wait to see more man. Great show.

Decent way to start off Nitro, glad the Steiners went over, but a potential Steiner break up could be nice. Nice Dungeon of Doom promo, a feud with DOD & nWo could be a nice way to establish nWo as a force to be reckoned with. The American Males/Harlem Heat could be an interesting match up, looking forward to seeing who you have go over. Dragon/Jericho sounded like a good match, glad Dragon picked up the win and that your willing to do something with him. The video package and Flair reaction was a nice quick way to continue the Flair/Mysterio, really looking forward to where you go and outside of the nWo stuff, my favorite part of the diary. Nice Lex Luger & Sting promo and simple yet effective set up of the Hog Wild matches. More great Flair/Mysterio build, I hope down the line you turn Horsemen faces though to feud with nWo. Main event was fine although I feel your main events have been lacking the "greatest main event in the history of Nitro" feel to them. But more good nWo stuff. Overall great stuff, keep it up.

Good to see Ultimo get the win. I loved him during this time period. Nice way to make the nWo look strong at the end. Hopefully the Giant/Hogan match gets more build up as it gets closer to Hog Wild.

WCW Saturday Night - Satuday 20th July 1996 Orlando, Florida - 18:05-18:07 - The opening WCW Saturday Night video package aired, as we go live to Orlando Studios for WCW Saturday Night, 'live' and presented by Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes, for wrestling over the next hour-and-a-half. They recap us on previous happenings on WCW Monday Nitro, with the New World Order still going strong, beating down Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Lex Luger and Sting as Nitro came to a close. Also, they showed a clip of Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Hart and The Giant hyping up the big-man's WCW World Heavyweight Championship defense for WCW Hog Wild against Hollywood Hogan. - 18:07-18:14 - Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs defeated Scott "Flash" Norton and Ice Train The American Males were made to look strong against the mammoth team of Fire & Ice, as the young athletes are scheduled to challenge for the WCW World Tag Team Championships, this upcoming Monday. Hard-fought battle ended after a neckbreaker from the top rope by Marcus on Ice. **1/4 - 18:14-18:15 - The American Males began to celebrate as Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes hyped their challenge against Harlem Heat, this Monday on Nitro. - 18:15-18:19 - Commercial break. - 18:19-18:22 - "The Man of 1,000 Holds" Dean Malenko defeated Pat Tanaka to retain the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship This match was merely made to make the WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, Dean Malenko look strong. The announcers hyped Malenko taking on the newcomer, Ultimate Dragon at Hog Wild, as Malenko easily finished Tanaka with a Cloverleaf. **3/4 - 18:22-18:24 - Dean Malenko celebrated his victory, as Sonny Oono appeared out of nowhere, walking up to Malenko as Gene Okerlund was standing by. Gene tried to catch a word with Oono, as Sonny warned Malenko that he may be an agile and fighting WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, but Dean has never fought the likes of Ultimate Dragon. Malenko nods his head as Sonny Oono walks away. - 18:24-18:25 - A vignette aired, hyping the awaited debut of the mysterious Glacier. - 18:21-18:25 - Commercial break. - 18:25-18:28 - We went to Gene Okerlund in a pre-taped segment, standing in front of numerous monitors showing WCW action, as he hyped up WCW Hog Wild, being on Saturday 10th August 1996, as numerous matches had already been announced for the event, to take place in Sturgis, the current card consisting of: The Giant vs Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship; Lex Luger vs Kevin Nash for the WCW World Television Championship; Sting vs Scott Hall; Ric Flair vs Rey Mysterio Jr for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship; Dean Malenko vs Ultimate Dragon for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, plus alot more yet to be announced. - 18:28-18:33 - Eddy Guerrero defeated Billy Kidman ** These two young, talented cruiserweights put on a decent match here, as the Mexican superstar from El Paso, Eddy Guerrero fought the WCW PowerPlant student in the air, alot of the time. Kidman hit a sweet shooting star press, but Eddy still managed to fight, finishing Kidman off with a Frog Splash. ]**3/4 - 18:30-18:34 - Eddy Guerrero celebrated as he walked up the aisleway, as Gene Okerlund caught a word with Guerrero. Eddy talked about how his friend, Rey Mysterio Jr is caught up in the big-boy land, he's been captured in a beatdown, courtesy of the Four Horsemen. Guerrero says that he will have Mysterio's back when he needs it, no doubt about it. Arn Anderson then came out, as he began talking trash to Eddy, shoving Guerrero as Okerlund held an aggressive Guerrero back from Arn! - 18:34-18:38 - Commercial break. - 18:36-18:39 - A video package airs, as it hypes up the Steiner Brothers; Rick and Scott, they're in action up next! - 18:39-18:42 - Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner defeated Scott Armstrong and Brad Armstrong This was a very short match-up here, as the two very-over Steiner Brothers battled the Armstrongs, well, two of them at leart. It didn't take long for Rick and Scott to disassemble the two Armstrongs, as the Steinerline finished Scott off for the win. **1/4 - 18:42-18:43 - The Steiner Brothers celebrate their victory. - 18:43-18:47 - Commercial break. - 18:47-18:48 - We go to Gene Okerlund as "Lord" Steven Regal walks out to a decent reaction. Regal says that he wants to become more and more involved with the WCW in their battle against the New World Order, and he will not let World Championship Wrestling down. - 18:47-18:56 - "Lord" Steven Regal defeated Chavo Guerrero, Jr Chavo Guerrero, Jr is the nephew of luchadore, Eddy Guerrero, whom we saw earlier on in this edition of Saturday Night. Regal went to work on Chavo, as the PowerPlant student kept fighting back. Mat-wrestling based heaven here, very competitive. Regal finished it with making Chavo tap to the STF. ***1/4 - 18:56-18:57 - We hear the theme of the Four Horsemen play into the arena as the "Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit wanders out, alongside Woman, as Gene Okerlund confrotns them, catching a word with the couple. Chris says that there's really only been one person in his way of total dominance and his name is Kevin Sullivan. Benoit challenges Sullivan to a match this Monday on WCW Nitro, as the theme of the Dungeon of Doom plays, Sullivan walking out and accepting the challenge! - 18:57-19:01 - Commercial break. - 19:01-19:09 - Booker T and Stevie Ray defeated Kenny Chaos and Robbie Rage to retain the WCW World Tag Team Championship This was a fairly good tag team match, as the WCW World Tag Team Champions, Harlem Heat fought the two PowerPlant beefed-up duo of High Voltage. Booker and Stevie Ray battled Chaos and Rage, as the two rookies managed to have a bit of offense, holding up on their own against the champs. Booker ended it with the 110th street slam for the win, on Rage. **1/2 - 19:09-19:15 - Disco Inferno defeated Chris Canyon This was a fairly entertaining match-up here, as it featured more WCW talent from the PowerPlant battle against WCW mainstays, as Disco Inferno battled Canyon in this interesting match-up. Chris Canyon is a larger athlete than Disco, but that didn't make Disco hesitant against Canyon, Inferno hitting the Chartbuster for the win. **1/4 - 19:15-19:16 - Disco Inferno danced, following his win. - 19:16-19:17 - We go to a pre-taped message from Greg "The Hammer" Valentine as he talked uncharismatically about Alex Wright, and how rookies like him shouldn't be able to tie their own laces against real wrestlers, like Valentine. - 19:17-19:18 - A graphic appears, the main event between "The Total-Package" Lex Luger and Big Bubba Roberts is up next! - 19:17-19:21 - Commercial break. - 19:21-19:32 - "The Total-Package" Lex Luger defeated Big Bubba Roberts to retain the WCW World Television Championship These two put on a good match-up here, to close down this edition of WCW Saturday Night. Lex Luger seemed motivated to overcome last Monday night's beatdown from the hands of the New World Order, as Lex trained here to get into shape to battle Kevin Nash at Hog Wild. Bubba Roberts had offense, but Luger managed to hit some impressive moves, from the powerslam to his patented lariat. Luger applied the Torture Rack on Roberts for the win! **3/4 - 20:03-20:04 - Lex Luger celebrated with his WCW World Television Championship as Saturday Night went off the air!

Glad the Bagwell/Riggs team opened up the show with a victory. Interesting to see Dean have a title defense there, glad he retained. Dean/Ultimo, make it happen. Eddie winning was the right call. Steiners winning was obvious. Easy title defense there for Harlem Heat. Disco Inferno FTW. Wasn't it Big Bubba Rodgers? Anyway, glad Luger won there. Solid show with some title defenses here.

It sucks to see Scott Norton lose, but atleast he wasn't pinned. Dean/Ultimo will be great. I like how you called him Ultimate Dragon since WCW done that. Nice to see Eddie win. You put a star rating after Billy Kidman and at the end of the match description, btw. Scott Steiner singles push, plz. Glad Luger won the main event. It was Big Bubba Rodgers, not Big Bubba Roberts.

WCW Monday Nitro - Monday 22nd July 1996 Lake Buena Vista, Florida - 21:00-21:03 - The opening WCW Monday Nitro video package played, as we went LIVE to the arena for two hours of Nitro, live from Lake Buena Vista, Florida! Tony Schiavone, Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan introduce us to the show and run down the card, alot to get through with on tonight's edition of WCW Monday Nitro, as WCW US Heavyweight Champion, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is scheduled to take on Eddy Guerrero in a non-title match, weeks before Flair's big title defense against Rey Mysterio, Jr at WCW Hog Wild. In other action, Harlem Heat will defend the WCW World Tag Team Championships against the American Males, aswell as "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit, scheduled to take on "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan; plus, in our main event, it will be The Giant, scheduled to team with Randy "Macho Man" Savage to do battle with The Outsiders, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash! - 21:06-21:12 - Scott "Flash" Norton and Ice Train defeated "Squire" David Taylor and "Earl" Bobby Eaton This was a sort of an absymal match-up here, as the two members of the Blueblood took on Fire & Ice in this match to kick off WCW Monday Nitro, this week. Taylor and Train started off, as Taylor had offense, getting a decent pop from the audience. Eaton got worked over by Norton and Train, before Taylor got the tag again. Norton eventually flatlined Taylor with his impressive Shoulderbreaker, however, for the win. ** - 21:12-21:14 - Fire & Ice, Scott Norton and Ice Train celebrated, as Teddy Long, their manager put the duo over. - 21:14-21:18 - Commercial break. - 21:18-21:24 - The theme of the Four Horsemen began to play, as the crowd immediately began to boo, the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair leading out Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit. Gene Okerlund met them in front of the entrance way, as Okerlund began to interview the leader of the Horsemen, Ric Flair. Flair said that the luchadores seem to have no respect for legends in this business. Flair reminds us that he made WCW, back from the days of the National Wrestling Alliance and such. Flair mentions how he brought Steve McMichael in, and also groomed Chris Benoit to become one of the most motivated performers to date. Flair then said that tonight, he will teach a certain Eddy Guerrero respect, when Flair slaps on the Figure-Four Leglock. - 21:24-21:28 - Commercial break. - 21:28-21:38 - "Nature Boy" Ric Flair defeated Eddy Guerrero This was a magnificent contest here, as the WCW US Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair, he went in there by himself and took on Eddy Guerrero right here, as the two battled with some sweet technical, fast-paced action. Eddy had alot of offense in this one, as the champ gave Guerrero some of his trademarked, patented chops. Flair also played dirty, working over the legs of the luchadore, Eddy Guerrero. Eddy fought back in time, however, taking Flair down with numerous armdrags. But when it was time to connect with a Frog Splash, Arn Anderson got on the apron, knocked Eddy down, and Flair locked in the Figure-Four Leglock, leading to a submission victory! ***1/2 - 21:38-21:40 - Ric Flair begins to celebrate over Eddy Guerrero, as Arn Anderson and Steve McMichael meet Flair in the ring, the three members of the Horsemen stomping a mudhole in Eddy! The official rings the bell numerous times, as it was Konnan and Rey Mysterio, Jr that ran in for the save! They used athletic moves to take Anderson and McMichael out, as Rey & Konnan attended to their fallen comrade/luchadore. - 21:40-21:44 - Commercial break. - 21:44-21:51 - We hear the theme of Lex Luger play throughout the arena, as the WCW World Television Champion makes his way out to the arena, Luger meeting Gene Okerlund in front of the entrance stage, as Okerlund asks Luger about how confident he is, three weeks away from his encounter with Kevin Nash in Sturgis, for Hog Wild. Luger says that he cannot wait to lock in the Torture Rack on Nash, because that will get the message across that nobody messes with WCW! Okerlund asks Luger about a certain "Lord" Steven Regal, as Luger says that he doesn't know what to think about Regal, he calls Steven out to the arena, as he joins Luger and Okerlund out there, also. Regal says that he can offer a great service on the frontline with World Championship Wrestling, against the New World Order. Luger tells Regal that he has proved nothing to him, nor anybody that he is worthy to stand on the same lines as Luger, Sting nor Randy "Macho Man" Savage! Regal tells Luger that he'd be willing to show him in the ring, next Monday night on Nitro! The audience pop, as Luger accepts the challenge, putting the WCW World Television Championship on the line for next Monday! - 21:51-21:55 - Commercial break. - 21:55-21:56 - First hour pyrotechnics. - 21:56-22:02 - The Barbarian, Hugh Morrus and Meng defeated Brian Knobbs, Michael Wallstreet and Jerry Saggs This was a filler match here, as The Barbarian and Brian Knobbs started. Knobbs was sloppy, as Barbarian was carrying Knobbs. Saggs got the tag, as their side began to have an advantage over Barbarian, it seemed. Hugh Morrus eventually got a tag, as he went in there, clobbering on everybody. Meng eventually got the tag, as all six men began to brawl, Meng finishing off Wallstreet with a shuffle Samoan side kick! **3/4 - 22:02-22:03 - The Faces of Fear and Hugh Morrus begin to celebrate their victory. - 22:03-22:07 - Commercial break. - 22:07-22:17 - "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit with Woman defeated "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan by disqualification This was a fair match-up here, as Kevin Sullivan was here to make battle with the 'Canadian Crippler' from the Four Horsemen, Chris Benoit. Woman was at ringside with Benoit, and Sullivan seemed to have his eyes on her, following her around ringside a few times during the match, only for Benoit to take out "The Taskmaster". Sullivan began to stomp away at Benoit, as he seriously kept getting more up in the offense chain, working over Benoit's shoulder. Sullivan eventually ran into the Crippler Crossface, however as Sullivan almost tapped, Meng jumping Benoit! ***- 22:17-22:19 - Meng and Benoit trade blows, as Kevin Sullivan attacks Benoit from behind, the Dungeon of Doom having an advantage over the Horsemen's Benoit, as Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Arn Anderson rushed to the ring! They took out Sullivan and Meng to boos, as Benoit and Sullivan had a drag-out brawl! - 22:19-22:22 - Commercial break. - 22:22-22:29 - The Ultimate Dragon defeated Juventud Guerrera These two young cruiserweights put on quite a great match-up here on WCW Monday Nitro, this week as it was the number one contender to the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, Ultimate Dragon going up against the Mexican masked luchadore, Juventud Guerrera, in what was a face-paced match-up here. Dean Malenko came out to observe, as Juventud almost had the victory on a few occasions, only to no avail. The Dragon did some stiff kicks to the body of Guerrera, eventually Guerrera ran into the Dragon Sleeper, as Juventud easily tapped out. ***1/4 - 22:29-22:30 - The Ultimate Dragon celebrated, as Dean Malenko clapped on his challenger for his very own WCW World Cruiserweight Championship belt, in three weeks at Hog Wild. - 22:30-22:34 - Commercial break. - 22:34-22:35 - A hype video aired, previewing WCW Hog Wild, for being live from Sturgis, North Dakota, on Saturday 10th August 1996. It was based around Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall of the nWo, riding on motorcycles. - 22:35-22:40 - Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs defeated Booker T and Stevie Ray by disqualification; Booker T and Stevie Ray retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships This was barely a match-up here, as Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Booker T started, both men having a staredown, Bagwell getting in some shots on Booker, before Stevie Ray came in, illegally, as both members of the WCW World Tag Team Champions, Harlem Heat began to double-team Bagwell. Scotty Riggs rushed into the ring, as he made the save, all hell breaking loose, but Booker blocked Bagwell over the head with the title belt, causing disqualification! N/A- 22:40-22:41 - Harlem Heat and the American Males continued to brawl, as the announcers hyped The Giant and Sting vs The Outsiders being up next. - 22:41-22:45 - Commercial break. - 22:45-22:57 - Randy "Macho Man" Savage and The Giant defeated Kevin Nash and Scott Hall A great way to cap off this edition of WCW Monday Nitro, with a short main event, that mainly added build to the on-going feud between the New World Order and World Championship Wrestling. Randy Savage seemed slightly reluctant to side with the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, The Giant in this battle, but Savage got himself busy, going after Scott Hall; the two brawling around the ringside area. The Giant and Kevin Nash matched ring-styles, as they made some chemistry, using their size and their brawling abilities. Nash hinted to go for a Jackknife Powerbomb, but Giant broke out of it, he actually backdropped Nash over his head, impressively enough. As Savage and Hall brawled at ringside, Savage and Hall brawling at ringside, as Giant nailed a Chokeslam on Nash for the win! ***1/4 - 22:57-22:59 - The Giant began to celebrate, as Scott Hall immediately rushed into the ring. Hall and Giant traded a few shots before Lex Luger walked down the aisleway, climbing into the ring as Hall and Nash were left in there, surrounded by Randy "Macho Man" Savage, WCW World Heavyweight Champion, The Giant and WCW World Television Champion, Lex Luger! Hollywood Hogan then came from behind, trading blows with The Giant! Nash and Luger brawled; Hall and Savage brawled, and Hogan & Giant brawled as Nitro was forced to go off of the air!
