Ah yes, this new GD is certainly an improvement over the old one.

At least it's friendly.
Why am I still posting here?
I don't know.

Same.
I feel its best to hardly post in the GD, as when I do, its often in short and somewhat cryptic sentences.
...How's everybody doing?

@ the absurdity of locking ICU's RP for little reason.

If I would have kept it open we would have kept arguing in the thread for his RP. Now we can argue here.

To the debate in ICU's RP, I can see Thunder's point about keeping on honing your RP after someone's already posted just to outdo them. My argument to that would be that the other RPer could have the same opportunity if they just did the same thing.
There's nothing stopping the oppponent doing the exact same thing.
I don't think there should be a rule or a frowning upon or any negativity about posting an RP early. They should be judged on what is posted on deadline day. That's, in essence, the final product.

I don't generally think there is anything wrong with editing your RP after you've posted it you just have to be honest with it and make sure you are just editing it slightly and not totally overhauling the thing just because the person your facing posted one better then yours. Editing it because you want to add a little more character development stuff or had an idea for your angle/forgot an angle you were meant to get in before the show I think is fine. Though, as I said in the RP post, I think if you do edit it you should label it clearly so people know you have.

In light of a heated argument/debate, I thought I'd post this as a way to get people's mind off and to lighten the mood.

I wouldn't call it heated. I'd say this is how we should argue. Anyway, maybe we should put a poll up or something and vote on it?

Seems like a good idea, but I reckon different opinions would get in the way. Personally, I'm fine if the edits are small, like typos or grammatical errors that were earlier unnoticed. But nothing that major, really. In light of a heated argument/debate, I thought I'd post this as a way to get people's mind off and to lighten the mood. That's some Buffalo Bill action right there. Hahaha... I was waiting for someone to make the comparisons between the dude and Buffalo Bill... Disturbingly funny video...

Yeah, there's really no problem with editing small things but I'm not a fan of continuing editing based on criticism. If you post a roleplay early then that is your decision, and you have decided that it is the finished roleplay.

thats why you preview your posts before you post, to fix formatting issues. And honestly, there isn't really anything wrong with editing your rp. even though thunder did bring up a valuable point. It's honestly no different then waiting to see what your opponent posts, and then writing your rp. And I know a LOT of people do that. Thats why they post rps at the last second. Its not just cause they want to use as much time as possible. I'm sure a part of them is just seeing what their opponent posts first. And anyways, if they think they can edit the rp tobe better, all the power to them til the deadline. Sure its unfair to post it last second, but hey.. it'd be the same as if they didn't post at all right?
