- Montel Vontavious Porter - Had a year long title reign [that was probably accidental, due to rival Matt Hardy's injury], which garnered some sort of prestige to the United States Championship, like back in the early 80s. - Lance Storm - Had a memorable run as US Heavyweight Champion and regardlessly one of the more recognised United States Champions from the WCW days to today's viewers. Storm's gimmick with the Canadian Heavyweight Championship gave the belt innovation. - Steve Austin - Austin had the in-ring skills, and the microphone work to back it up. He had some great stints as US Heavyweight Champion, and played a badass heel in a classic old-school storyline as a cocky heel champion. - Chris Benoit - Had seen a US Heavyweight Championship reign coming on the way for quite some time, when he got the title, he really deserved it, though it was arguable that he should of held it earlier. Benoit had the ring abilities but lacked charisma. - Tully Blanchard - Another example of the old-school cocky heel champion. Blanchard's presence in the Four Horsemen faction powered the Horsemen as power-hungry competitors, and Blanchard had some legendary matches, his more memorable one to me being against Magnum TA.
