Sorry to bump a seriously old thread but did anyone ever get to see the pictures Meatybat was referring to?

I did a database search and it is under a post called "WCW Galoobs" with the last post in it dated August 6, 2010, so you will have to go back a few hundred pages.
I could also get to the page by putting in "WCW Prototypes" with 2800 days and 100 posts as the parameters and clicking only the Other Figure Talk - Other Figures (click that box only - instead of "all") box. They are by date, so if you scan down to the 2010 posts you will find them there too and then click the title to see all the posts in that thread. I cannot get it to copy for some reason.

I forget how good galoobs were. I'd love to have seen more.
This is a silly question, but why did Dustin Rhodes have a bigger belt? It's it for obvious reasons?

It's it for obvious reasons? yeah, his jacket required a larger belt, a couple of notches more to fit. heres my prototype: and carded example, IMO some of the best carded figures ever, especially dustin :-)

Thanks for this. I was actually looking for the images Meatybat was going to post of the alternate colour Galoobs referred to in previous posts - Sting in white/grey, Ric Flair with yellow laces etc.

Ichiban = amazing. The Dustin figure is amazing. Do you ever consider selling it, if so let me know. Pure beauty of a prototype.

Thanks Kev, i love them both, funnily enough i prefer the moc example, its super clean and reminds me of when i bought him in 1990 from 'beaties' in Brighton Uk, man they had loads of galoobs. Happy Easter mate

I remember a shop in chester called Jolly Giant. Bebop might remember it too. It was massive, I use to skip all the other toys and head right to the WWF Hasbro's. they must have about 100 Brutus Beefcakes #1. You don't get shops like that now.
Funnily enoguh I use to buy Galoobs from Kwik Saves or Woolworths.
Happy Easter

Man, I would love to own that MOC Dustin Rhodes one day. That and a MOC Big Josh. If I ever win the lottery, I will get them and any others that have eluded me all these years.

Seriously though, if you were to sell Dustin & Big Josh, how much are you looking to get, either singally or together??

'IF' is the word, took me best part of 15 years to find them, i guess £200 for the josh, £150 for dustin, maybe more. I know my Blue barry moc is less desireable but much harder to find! How may other people have one??

for me....that blue barry windham was the hardest figure to secure, and I only collect loose figs? he's got to be the least produced figure in the whole line...I think the blue pillman is rarer than both big josh and rhodes too?

Pillman seems to be much easier since I cannot find most of the ones Ichiban shows.

What I find really funny is that they actually credit the photographer in the action shots! No offense to Dennis Brent (who is credited) but I'm sure he had better photos than the ones chosen!

If you win the lottery give me a call I might take you up on that one day. I'm really hoping Meatybat is going to pull out one of those fantastic moments when we see something from this line for the first ever time. 22 years on!
