I'm hoping Ziggler, or Swagger. Elevate somebody for a change.

If Kozlov wins, I cut my left ear off.

Swagger is GREEN as hell. Yeah, lets give Edge yet ANOTHER accomplishment that will be forgotten after a couple of months when you could be pushing new, fresh, main eventers! Absolutely brilliant idea! ... Exactly, just because he has never won it doesn't mean he has to, I am a huge Edge fan, but I would rather have say Christian or Masters or Morrison win over Edge. He doesn't need it, if he had to win it at any time I'd of said either 2005 or 2007, but now, he's an established Main guy, he just wouldn't gain anything from it apart from another accomplishment

the only credible guys who are not already main eventers, who are legitmate choices and would benefit from this are/is... john morrison, and sadly thats it. a heel (jack swagger) will likely not win the royal rumble, the miz is not there yet, based on the way hes been pushed and mvp.... his push also seems to have cooled quite a bit. edge winning the royal rumble is not needed, since if he is ready to go by wm, the fued with jericho is completely logical and likely, so he has his built in return fued... and hes a main eventer on his own without the rumble.
john morrison is the logical choice at this point... so long as they dont go with batista, edge, jeff hardy, or whoever doesnt have the belt among the main eventers.

Why is everone saying Morrison, Swagger, etc. Its not gonna happen people, the last 2 people to even be considered underdog winners in the last 10 years are Benoit and Mysterio. And even then, Ziggler, Morrison, and Swaggger arent even near where Mysterio and Benoit were when they won it.

well, i was speaking more as a... what if... a what if they tried to accelerate an undercard guy into a major talent. realistically they wont... but still, since we arent there yet, id like to assume theres a chance that a non main eventer could win... even if its someone i dont care about in morrison.

Let's also look back on say the last 10 years worth of Rumble winners. With the exception really of Batista in 2005 and Rey in 2006; most winners are stars that are already established. The Rumble winner next year will likely be a guy who is already in the main event mix. If anything, the Money in the Bank winner is now way more indicative of which guy is " Next " in WWE's eyes. All these guys named, Shelton, Ted JR, Swagger( Grossly overrated ) Morrison and so on; are NOWHERE near ready to carry the ball. Only " Mid-Card " that is really passable right now is MVP. He can talk, NONE of the guys I named above can talk. You want to make it in the business, develop on the mic. Plain and simple. Flair seemed to have made it in the business though? He couldn't talk, wrestle or anything. If Flair can be big, anyone can. Let's face it, triple h will choose the winner. It'l probably be him.
