Conspiracy theories are interesting. I can't stand when people dismiss them without a doubt and don't even consider the possibility of the theory just because it has the "conspiracy" stamp on it.
Personally, I don't know what's what. But it isn't that likely that the government actually cares much about the people. They seem mostly interested in controlling them. Money and power control alot of things. And not to be a stoner cliche but if the government really cares about the people Marijuana would hardly be illegal with such bullpoop reasons as it is today. That's just one tiny sign there.
Also, since you were speaking about aliens. If mankind on earth is the top crown of creation then, don't you guys think that is a little bit sad at least?

People tend to dismiss conspiracy theories out of hand because 99.999999999999999999% of them have little or no truth behind them.

Skepticism is a rational way of looking at the universe. It's how science happens and how knowledge is discovered. Question everything and look for proof.

It seems like your living in the early 80s. You need to do a little study. Knowledge comes from many other sources other than pure evidence and science.

He's sticking to it.. And we've never argued proof. (atleast I haven't) It's belief.. You believe in what you believe in.. Rather it be aliens, bigfoot, science or the bible it self.. Nothings proven.. It's all beliefs until noted otherwise.. k?

I've never found fault with people who simply say they believe stuff. I've stated before that I believe we are not alone in the universe. My issue is simply with people who state their beliefs are true and do not have the facts to back them up. Like the people who say that Bush orchestrated 9/11. They proclaim this as a fact even though there is no evidence to back it up at all.
I've said before that I believe in God. I do. You will never find me on here claiming to be able to prove God exists though. When people say they don't believe in God and ask me to prove it, I freely state that I can't. My belief is just that - faith. I have never on here claimed that God definitively exists.
As I said, my problem is just with people who state things are a fact and have no proof. If you want to claim you believe in Bigfoot, fine. If you want to say that Bigfoot is real, then I've got an issue with you.

But someone with strong beliefs, will usually fight that their belief is fact.. It's understandable.. I mean it's mentality like that.. That has kept all religions alive.. My problem is not everyone understands that we all don't think the same.. It's okay to have a different opinion. It's stupid to think someone is ignorant because they don't believe what someone else does.. Or think the same way they do.. Wars have been started simply because people think and believe different.. I for one think it's embarrassing. Completely un called for.. No matter how far out someone's opinion is.. Trying to argue back and forth about what is real and what is not real is just plain ridiculous.. It's all a belief system.. Everything.. Unless proven otherwise.. But then again.. What fun would WF be without sh*t like this. Cool Time -

People tend to dismiss conspiracy theories out of hand because 99.999999999999999999% of them have little or no truth behind them. Well, they are just theories to begin with. You should just consider them as such. Instead you seem to judge as inaccurate right away. And some things that start out as theories can later be proven to be more, such as 9/11. There is proof that the towers were blown up, there is proof stating otherwise. Who did it? That would be the conspiracy. All Im saying is that you shouldn't take for granted that your government wants you completely well. And I don't think that all the information a person should rely on is the mainstream media. You seem to be a firm believer in science. That's cool. Are you familiar with metaphysics then? Plus it's better off that a substance such as pot is illegal in my opinion. The last thing we need is are little kids catching contact from street stoners. You don't seem to know much about the harmless substence.

Cigarettes should be illegal before pot. Pot is a harmless substance. Cigarettes slowly and painfully kill you. Having said that, I have never and will never smoke anything.

Half my family used to sell it to put food on the table. That's why I chose law enforcemment as a career path. It's anything but harmless. I'm sure you've seen a burnt out pot head before. Well I've seen plenty and it only took a couple for me to realize that the human brain was not made to function with weed. And at the end of the day, you're still pulling smoke in your lungs which it NEVER a good thing.

I have a few conspiracy theories. The moist recent was when the professor was arrested. I'm basically positive that their all wrong but it's sorta fun to have them and look at things differently.

Well crap man, if you're a cop then no wonder you're against weed. xD If you have bad experiences with the drug regarding your family and all then I can understand why you are turned off against it. That is usually the case with some people. And I know well enough that me trying to convince you otherwise won't really do much.
Well, burnt out is the keyword there. Nothing is good when it's excessive and people can abuse just about anything. Still, alcohol and cigarettes seem like the far worse deal then cannabis.

Not a cop yet but I'll be entering the police academy very soon. I've passed all my tests to get in and all that good stuff. I'm also a Criminal Justice major in college. You're right. Nothing is good in excess. Not even food or water which keeps us alive. And if it were up to me, alcohol and tobacco would would be outlawed altogether.

I recently did a little research behind Holocaust Deniers and wow, it turned up some interesting stuff. I mean there are a decent number of people who truly believe the Holocaust did not happen and its all a big conspiracy. It perplexes the hell out of me because 11-17 MILLION people were killed, murdered, died, etc (6 million being Jewish people).
