Ok, i went to my TRu last night in order to buy a discounted RSR MITB. I found the last one that ended up ringing up to $69.99. I then realized that it was previously opened and pices were missing. I called an employee over to talk about this and their response was "We are not going to do anything about that" I then requested to speak to a manager who came and has the same crappy attitude. The was a nasty old lady. They refused to give me more of a discount when i responded with "Thanks for your help, i will be talking to (TRU) headquarters" and walked out.

Talking to higher ups like mentioned would be your best bet. Since not shopping their seems crazy.

Weren't they originally $99.99 when they first came out? I was going to buy one the other day until I noticed that they were now $119.99.

My TRU is just a hit or miss When it comes to figures. But They Never gave me any kind of attitude.

All clearance legos, etc (things that could be missing pieces) at my local toys r us clearly state "AS IS" on the box

there's no reason to make blank threats at them.
the little hustler yerp even had a decent idea, buy it and return it for a new one at another store.
$70's kinda steep for the ring and stuff missing though, youre right

Good luck with corporate... they're even less helpful than the individual store managers.
I had an employee basically refuse to sell me a PS3 without buying the extended warranty. He actually argued with me for almost 15 minutes and would NOT ring me up. Finally when I said if he didn't shut up I wasn't going to give him my $500... and he said "bye" and turned away from the counter!! I called corporate and they barely even apologized and sent me a $10 gift card for "my troubles" F them!

I assume you're talking about the TRU that's closing down? It's not their fault the set was open, and you're already getting a discount on the set anyway, so I really don't see the problem.

it is on Long Island. It was on clearence but only 30%. they wouldnt give me more or let me use cupons.

Man, I remember when my Toys R Us was nice when I was younger, now it's all run down and crappy. Shame that kids now a days don't get to have that same experience we did when we were kids.
I got the same problem at my TRU Buck...Angry little snobby pricks work there, that's why I go to the one in the next city, it's about a 30 minute drive, but they have an amazing selection and treat you a LOT better.

When i bought my HIAC RSR the box was open, when i went to the front to pay i asked them "If an pieces are missing i would like a refund" they agreed, there were none missing

a lot of times managers dont have any control over "discounts" they can take the item off the floor and return it to the vendor but cant mark it down. Its a pretty common thing in retail. I wouldnt have marked it down either
