God I feel horrible. He had been in hospital/rehab for 8 weeks with all sorts of stuff, chest infections, urinal infections and more. He was 85 and last night and around 12 we got a call from the rehab facillity saying he is unwell and we should come. So we went and we were too late, he was dead in the bed, his tounge was out. We didn't know if he was breathing so I took the responsibility in checking if he is, and he wasn't. His face was litrelly grey Then my uncle and his son & daughter, who my family aren't on good terms after my aunties death, came along with my grandpa and they all couldn't stop crying. It was so sad, I really can't belive I'll never see him again, he was such a great man, litrelly. He loved his family and always cooked and would fix his garden and everything, he was very active until the last year or so and he reached depression because he knew he couldn't do anything anymore.

I especially know what you're going through man.... My grandma (who I was very very close to) passed away from lung cancer less than a month ago... It still kind of blows my mind how fast everything went... She found out she had cancer and was told she had 6 months to 1 year left; and she ended up dying the next week because of how aggressive the cancer was... It was the absolute worst time of my life.... I cried everyday from the time that I found out she had cancer until we buried her... The only thing I can think to say is that it will get easier.... I found myself remembering nothing but the good times after the funeral was over... I think about her everyday and am still kind of blown away that this person I loved so much is gone forever...

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours during this rough time man. I went through this a little over 3 years ago with the loss of my own grandfather, and it's rough. The worst I took any family death, tbh. It just wasn't the same, going to their house and him not being there on the front porch, waiting for us. It's been so hard.
Take care of yourself, though man.

Damn that really sucks. I might have to make one of these sad threads soon because my Great-Grandma Rose just broke her femur and had surgery. She is currently doing physical therapy but I don't know if she will live much longer. She is about 86 so she has lived a long life but it will still be sad.

I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. If you ever need anything or want to talk you can send me a pm. I know how you feel I lost both my grandfathers. Remeber one thing though he might be gone but he will never be forgotten as long as you keep his legacy alive in 1 place. He will live always in your heart. God Bless You.
