WCWA has been invited to participate in "A Blast From the Past", a special to air in primetime network TV. The WWE declined the offer to represent themselves and the impact that professional wrestling had in the 80s and 90s, but WCWA management was quick to jump upon the chance to represent not just WCWA, professional wrestling as a whole, to one of it's all time largest viewing audiances. This will be a live action variety show, with vintage commercials airing throughout the 3 hour live telecast. WCWA will have just a small portion of this show, set to include the very best of movies, music, and television for the last thirty years.
Blast from the Past Special
WCWA Showcase Match
WCWA World Heavyweight title Match
versus
Chris Hero (c)
versus
Eddie Kingston
A bitter rivalry would be an under statement. A war would be an under statement. No words can describe the hatred between "The Last of a Dying Breed" Eddie Kingston and reigning WCWA World Heavyweight champion, "Your Hero" Chris Hero. Hero captured his first WCWA World Heavyweight championship at the HURT Pay Per View, defeating Eddie Kingston and The Messiah in a three way dance to capture the vacant title. Kingston and Hero have been in a blood war since then, with wars of words between the two and many battles between their respective stables, Chris Hero's Kings of Wrestling and Eddie Kingston's BLK Out. The two stables clashed in a sixteen person Torneo Cibernetico match, with Hero winning the match and retaining his championship. It seems like everything Eddie Kingston does, every time he turns around, it's Chris Hero beating him. Hero has gone as far as to say that Eddie Kingston cannot beat him. Is it true? Is Eddie Kingston cursed? Or has Eddie Kingston finally found Chris Hero's kryptonite, his one true weakness? With the Dark Desires PPV lingering, this match could have great implications, with Hero continuing his dominating streak and retaining his title, or possibly, just maybe, could Eddie Kingston capture the championship in front of one of WCWA's largest viewing audiances?
