Well i definitely had a great time last night, it was awesome, better than the latest WWE tour. I admit the card looked a little weak before going to the event but it turned out to be awesome. Sydney definitely got the best card and it was structured in the best possible way to utilise the talent available. I got ridiculously cheap tickets and ended up with my seat 3 rows back from the corner of the ring where it meets the ramp so i was both rampside/ringside. Didnt even use my seat, stood by the ramp the whole time. I never get this close so it was truly a great experience for me. The crowd figures for the tour have always been a worry and despite the top back sections and behind the ramp being curtained off, the crowd in the other sections were a pretty good size. Some gaps yeah but not too much. I'll let the pics do most of the talking since theres a stack.
The ring and stage prior to commencing. We were told it would be televised (which i hope it does and we can see) so it had an opening movie with highlights from the tour, announcing, commentary (various wrestlers joined) and of course, stacks of cameras and pyro! Its the closest thing to a taping which never happen here, but this technically was.
Pyro started the show!
First match was Pimp Fatha (Godfather) vs Sean Morley (Val Venis). Val came out first wearing his towel and didnt give it to the crowd despite teasing doing so, the crowd cheered more for the towel than Val. Godfather and his Ho's came out. The match was for the Ho's if Val wins he gets them, if he loses, he pays triple. Crowd loved this non PG stuff. Godfather picked up the win.
Next Rock of Love were to take on the Nasty Boys. Rock of love entered then footage from the Nasty Boys was up and then they entered. Match ended in a double countout almost as soon as it started. Crowd wondered what was going on. Both teams were battlin all the way to the back.
Next was Nick Dinsmore (Eugene) vs Jon Heidenrich, everyone loved seeing Eugene. Pretty funny seeing Eugene and crowd was into it, but ultimately Heidenrich got the pin over Eugene.
After the match the Nastys and Rock Of Love were still battling and came out to the arena and this is where it really got nasty as we were given an Aussie street fight. They were using weapons and damn i was right up close and it looked so real. Mops, water tanks, wood, chairs, signs, it was an all out brawl. You could actually see marks on the backs of Rock of Love. Lots of awesome nonstop hardcore action right here. Glad the Nastys were given this role rather than a technical match. Ended with arock of love member going through a wooden board and pinned. Nastys celebrated with Jimmy Hart who was seen throughout the evening.
Next we were shown a promo from Flair for tonights epic main event.
Then some tag team action of Vampire Warrior (Gangrel) and Black Pearl vs Jr Fatu (rikishi) and Brian Christopher (grand master sexay). I really wanted to see Rikishi one of my favourites from years ago. The crowd absolutely loved Kishi and Grand Master. A decent match where we got to see some classic moves from Masters leg drop to Kishis samoan drop, corner top rope splash and the stinkface! Unfortunately Pearl botched the ending on Christopher near the turnbuckle and as the crowd chanted "You F-ed Up" they tried to get something going but the irish whip failed and pearl ended with a decent move. After Pearl and Gangrel left, Guys near me were telling Kishi to dance and he looked at them and winked with a smile haha, kishi went to leave but was begged to dance by GMS and eventually did, the ref even joined in, awesome to see Rikishi break it down again. Fortunately for you guys i havent posted any shots of Rikishis large 'ass-et'.
An intermission followed. Two guys in the crowd were dressed up
as Taker and ultimate warrior had a fake fight, pretty funny. Saw some guys dressed as 'Hogan Bogans' haha.
After the intermission we had a bikini contest presented with 3 random women. Not much to say here, they were about to fight but the ref broke it up and ended up getting rolled all over on, lucky guy.
We then got Brutus Beefcake taking on Orland Jordan. Jordan came out first and was claiming to be the greatest and so forth until Brutus promo was screened and he headed out eventually picking up the win. Not an amazing match but afterwards, after making Orlando tap, Beefcake cut off some of Jordans hair.
Next was possibly the best match as far as what was involved which was Spartan 3000 Matt Cross vs Shannon Moore in a Ladder match for $25,000. It was one heck of a spotfest. From Moore banging into the ladder, Cross being sanwiched between the ladder and guardrail twice, to a shooting star press off the top rope by Cross onto Moore and the ladder below! Not to mention necbreakers and other moves off the ladders themselves! Awesome match! Cross picked up the victory.
Then it was followed by another fantastic match. Mr Ken Anderson (Kennedy) vs Uso Fatu (Umaga). Kennedy came out and did his usual mic work followed by umaga who is in tremendous shape. These two put on a fantastic display, both were still in great shape as far as pulling moves off goes although physically, kennedy was getting a bit bulgy. Kennedy could have had umaga beat twice but the ref was down, ending was vicious. In the space of like 15 seconds umaga snapped doing a superkick, running but thing to the corner and then picking kennedy up and nailing him with the samoan spike. Brutal. Great match though.
Then it was the main event. Hogan v Flair. Sure both guys arent in tip top shape and you didnt expect the most amazing technical match but it was about being there and being in that atmosphere. Seeing two legends go at it in one battle. Hogan hadnt been seen here and it was truly awesome for the entrance and then the match, place was electric. Got to see all the good bits except the leg drop. Lacey accompanied flair, got her skirt ripped off by Jimmy at one point. Interference from Umaga, Jordan, Heidenrich and the Nastys at points. What was truly awesome for me is Hogan and Flair wrestled on the outside by the ramp a fair bit over right where i was. Got to touch the Hulkester twice. Hogan even used his belt on flair picking up the win by a big boot and a belting of flair with Harts megaphone. Bischoff was on commentary for the match. Was so awesome to be there.

Overall, a really great show and definitely one of my favourites ive ever been to. May sound a little weak to those who havent been but i truly enjoyed it, id say being ringside was that much better particularly for this event where so much went on there. Was an event not where youd expect A+ wrestling, but where you want to go and see the guys youve seen and wee them pull the old tricks out of the bag plus some fresh stuff such as the ladder match. It was an experience and an awesome one to me at that.
