I've twice seen young folk drinking beer on the train (Edinburgh - Glasgow, Glasgow - Newcastle) and officers passed without saying anything.

You aren't allowed to on the Metro systems here Doesn't stop people like that doing it. Why did I instantly think they were Geordies?

Always have a drink on the trains and the conductors never say (in fact they had a laugh with me and my mates before) anything soooo... Must have been your local company.
Anway, not guilty is the corect verdict, congrats!

The train peope admited there was no signs on the platform saying not to drink. They tried changing the charge to intoxication and the back to drinking on teh train. So the judge let me off.

Trains often offer small alchoholic drinks for long journeys. When I last went to London, the people I was with took a bottle of wine on with them and even asked for plastic glasses, which the attendant gave to us.
