I don't know if that is just like some kind of weird reflection or something that i'm not seeing, but if that IS Bruce, then i just jizzed my pants.

Finished Return of Bruce 3 and it was pretty good, I liked that they explained what that bat shrine in Batman and Robin was all about, I don't know if I really care for the inclusion of Jonah Hex in the next issue though.

Batman and Robin 13 is one of the finest issues I have ever read of any comic book.

B&R13 was nothing short of ing mind blowing. The opening was fantastic and I had to read through it like 3 times to make sure that what I was reading was actually happening because it was so crazy. The stuff with Joker was awesome, I love that Gordon finally called out Batman saying he knew that it wasn't Bruce. I loved the whole thing with Joker and Damian. And the ending was nuts. All and all I want issue 14 right ing now. Also I may be in the minority (at least in reviews I've read/some people that I've talked too) but I loooove Irving's art.

Irving's art is absolutely perfect for this arc.
I think Damian/Joker will go on to become an iconic scene. What made it even more perfect was 'you sound just like... like him.' Joker has a new play thing.
And the opening pages were a complete perversion of everything that Batman is. Whatever that was, be it a twisted fantasy or false memory of Hurt's or whatever, I love it.
Greatest issue in Grant's entire run, in my opinion. There is a a sense of dread and panic over the entire thing. Comic book writing at its finest.
And Grant has actually managed to write the Joker as unpredictable.

just finished b&r 13 and, needless to say, it was fantastic. the most drawing issue yet in my opinion, i was immediatly pulled in and joker was written superbly. damian has really developed excellently as a character and his rumblings are becoming more and more severe...i'm intrigued as to where this is all going. and the commish gordan/grayson conversations were great. i really thought this whole bruce dying/returning through time/period of absence was gonna be a huge ing mess, but it's turned out to be anything but and is actually one of the most interesting arcs of the last year plus.

So DC Comics announced "Bruce Wayne: The Road Home"
Bruce Wayne is back – but what has he returned to?
In his absence, his closest allies and deadliest enemies have blazed a new path, creating a Gotham that’s different and in many ways more menacing than the city he left behind. So, how do his protégés, allies and foes react to the man that stands before them?
Is Batgirl’s career over? Red Robin was right – but what’s next? After mourning Bruce Wayne’s death, can Catwoman face him?
Welcome to BRUCE WAYNE: THE ROAD HOME, eight one-shots that cover the city of Gotham and beyond, from Dick Grayson and Damian to the Birds of Prey to Red Robin to Commissioner Gordon in stories told by some of the industry’s brightest stars, including Adam Beechen, Fabian Nicieza, Mike Barr, Pere Perez, Ramon Bachs, Marc Andreyko, Cliff Richards and Bryan Q. Miller, featuring a connecting, 8-part cover by superstar artist Shane Davis.
All these questions and more will be answered. But surely we can throw down a few more teases, right? Take it away, Batman Group Editor Mike Marts:
“Bruce Wayne’s journey back home has been a long and dangerous road, but before he can assume the mantle of the Bat again, he must first figure out how things have changed in the world around him, how relationships have changed…and how those changes will effect his decisions moving forward as the protector of Gotham City.”
BRUCE WAYNE: THE ROAD HOME begins in October.
It almost feels like they are going to start overdoing the whole thing with Bruce returning, we already have Return of Bruce Wayne, we're going to have "Time Masters" and now this which to me seems kinda pointless because I don't see why they couldn't just contain all of this into a issue of Batman or an issue of RoBW.

There are a few stories that could be really good if done right, Catwoman especially. But I don't think the series needs to have 8 different stories.
Anyways I don't think we've discussed this (I could be wrong I don't see it in this thread but it could be in another) but what do you guys think will happen to the B&R series or the Batman universe in general after Bruce returns? For example will Bruce allow Damian be Robin? Or will Dick just easily go back to being Nightwing after being Batman for awhile? Will something happen like Captain America where Bruce won't want to be Batman again?

I expect there to be Batmen and Robin.
I want Bruce to go do something else and let us keep Dick and Damian. Maybe put him in a mentor role, like Batman Beyond, but a little different, since Dick clearly doesn't need his help like Terry did. He can give Damian other training while he's not out with Dick, too.

Batmen and Robin would make a lot of sense after looking at the cover of B&R 16 and seeing the 2 Batmen. Also Return of Bruce 6 comes out a week before B&R 16 does.

as lame as it sounds...i'd like if when bruce came back he hung up the cape and cowl, realizing he wanted more with his life than just to fight these forces forever, and settle down with catwoman. he'd still use his public image and finance as bruce wayne to do good, and he'd still be involved from time to time, but in the end he just wants an attempt at the thing he never truly got after his parent's death - happiness and content.

They've pretty much spilled the beans on the two Batmen thing. www.newsarama.com/comics/david-finch-dark-knight-100713.htmlDavid Finch will be writing and drawing BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT, kicked off by a Grant Morrison written one-shot "BATMAN: THE RETURN". This quote though... ... this is pretty much what we've been reading for years under Grant Morrison. He also mentions that this will be a detective story, first and foremost. ... so put it in Detective Comics? Do we really need ANOTHER bat-book?

That really dosen't need to be a continuing series, I may pick up the first issue just to see how it is but after that I can't say I'll pick up anymore because I have enough Batman reading already.

Peter Tomasi of Green Lantern Corps is taking over.
As of now, every bat-book is occupied by a creative team. I hope and expect Grant to announce a new Batman series at Comic Con.
