That's cool, but you won't find any 1/1000 figs.

Quick update: I went to TRU today and found them stocked up with the new Mattel figures! I picked up the box set and noticed there were two differences between these figures and the Basics. First, Basic John Cena doesn't have the blue armband and second, Basic Batista comes in black trunks instead of the boxed red trunks.
I have to say, I'm impressed with the new Mattel figures. It's great to see them in proper scale and with all their details!

My favorite part about these figures is the scale and how accurate they look compared to each other. For example, it used to drive me crazy when I orderd my Jakks "Outsiders" Pack and when standing next to each other Hall was about an inch taller than Nash, used to drive me nuts. I love looking at my Mattels and seeing HBK much shorter than Undertaker, it looks so right lol. I cant wait for the legends to start coming out, but for right now the hunt is on for Stone Cold lol.

Buying in bulk saving you money is not exactly a brand new business practice. That's what this set is.
And I'm sure I would never find a 1/1000 figure anyway. So I got this set for $40 ($50 with 20 percent off coupon) instead of $60 for 6 individual figures (my TRU had none of the Series 1 singles anyway, and only one box set left).

It looks like Mattel is trying to get the product on the shelves...which has always been a problem with their DC lines. But here they are putting the basic figures in ring sets and now in this 6-Pack. So maybe they finally learned how to distribute their figures so that they are easily found by all who want them.

If they do this for Elites, I might consider collecting the entire series. Till I grow tired of them, of course, hahaha.
