Today I received my Mattel order from RSC. The order included 2 Elite figures, I was so happy and excited for them, but I was extremely dissapointed. The movement isn't much more then Basic, the chest doesn't go far up or down, the legs can only move out and not up and down, and the overall look of the figure just isn't as good as Basic style. The only good thing is the clothing, but I don't think clothing is worth $15. Complete waste of my money. I'm upset I preordered Elite Orton and Elite Hardy.
Your thoughts.

Kind of have to agree. I think the added articulation of the Elites is great for posing or whatever but as a whole the figures aren't very aesthetically pleasing. I mean, I've always loved super articulated figures but the visibility of the torso joint in particular really kills the look and realism of the elite figures, giving them an almost 'robotic' look.
The basics on the other hand really do well in concealing the joints. I truly hated the RA design but Mattel really stepped it up with the basic style figures.

That realy sucks. I play with most of my figures, and I was hoping for playability. I only have one Mattel fig so far in the Heritage Austin, and it is great to play with. Sad to hear about the Elites.

The legs should go up and down. I know my 2 Punk figures both had tight/stuck hips but I kept trying to move them forwards and eventually they "popped" and now they go up & down as well as outwards. Punk was the only one out of my Elites that had that problem. Edge, Taker & MVP all had no trouble moving their hips.

The reason I hate them is that I feel they have a poor structure, the bodies are un-realistic, they are super stiff, etc.

I can't get my punk too do a big boot or super kick.

None of my Elites have issues with the legs. The abdomen piece isnt supposed to bend all the way back or forward.
