So they kill Dragon Ball Z, then Dead or Alive, Now Tekken..... I hope Gears of War destroy's this crap.

Few things:
1) The story in fighting games is always laughable, so why does Hollywood keep choosing them to turn into movies?
2) Of all fighting games, why go with Tekken? There's fighting Pandas and a genetically engineered kangaroo family. Doesn't that just scream 'gritty, serious drama' to you?
3) This looks cringe-worthy.

Yeah that looks like ass. Also Heihachi looks laughable. But the weird thing is; Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who plays Heihachi, also played Shang Tsung in the Mortal Kombat movie.

Tagawa's going to be playing Asian villains for the rest of his life. I've never seen him not be evil, aside from the Johnny Tsunami movies. That being said, I'm still waiting for "Q*BERT: The Movie". It'd be butchered for theaters. They'd have to remove half of the profanities just to get it down to an R rating. |

Is this a straight to DVD thing or is going to make it to theaters? It looks like cheap fun, but not much else. Looks several steps above that god awful Street Fighter movie they released recently though.

I mean it was funny, but not really silly enough. I still enjoyed it though. DoA, I'll give you. This looks pretty good though. Not great cinema, but nice action. I hope it is. |
