i really don't mind it, it kinda gives me a heads up on when and what is out to look for Thats why we have a Figure Findings board. Find your state and you have yourself a network of people that can help YOU find the figure you want. I agree with this too. There were like 5 findings report on here. I think the mod need to redirect these people to the apporiate boards. Some of you just know better. And it's not a matter of bitching, it's just it gets annoying filtering through the same crap just to view something useful and has really cluttered up the board.

I do agree with that, right now I cant post pics so I post in the just bought/good deal thread just like it should be. I dont mind the I just found.... threads aslong as they have pictures to go along with it.

If someone has pictures they can make their own thread and show us what they bought.
If they don't have pictures, or just want to keep track of their buys, we have the official thread up top.
I like that style and nobody else seems to have a problem with it, so I'd like for it to stay. And also, people are just giving us a heads up on what's in stores. I myself was very happy people reported finding basic 2 here rather than their own thread in the findings board. Let it go.

IF it's something that's been out for a month or two why do we need to see it on the main page. I dont mind having post of basics 2 or new stuff, that's fine. And the findings thing, you're basically allowing the rules to be undermined. At least lock the thread instead of leaving it open for people to reply to.

I think the best arrangement would be to have an official discussion thread for bascis, one for elites, one for Flex Force, and one for miscellaneous stuff( rings, belts, whatever). People could simply post in there when they buy the stuff, talk about the figures in the wave, post some pics if they want, etc. It would keep the rest of the board clear of all that. A couple of other boards I go to use that kind of system; it keeps the forum neat and works very well.

I myself was very happy people reported finding basic 2 here rather than their own thread in the findings board. Let it go. Honestly, what we should, and what pretty much every other figure forum does, is sticky a post at the top of the page when a new wave hits. Then ever finding, picture, discussion of that wave can go in there. That way the board doesn't get clogged with this stuff. So for example, a "Basic 2 Thread" would be stickied, and everything related would go there...when Basics 3 hits, the Basics 2 thread gets "un-stickied" I totally agree with CM Showstopper on this. We really don't need a hundred posts of the same thing clogging the board when it can all go in one contained thread. I think the best arrangement would be to have an official discussion thread for bascis, one for elites, one for Flex Force, and one for miscellaneous stuff( rings, belts, whatever). That is pretty much the reason I stopped posting in the Jakks thread, and why I probably won't stick around here too much longer. There are better forums out there with very good wrestling figure discussion threads that are 1) not filled with 13 year olds and 2) run in much better and organized fashion.

If he wants it the way he does, then thats that. We expressed our views, along with a few others. We have no choice but to deal with it. If a new MOD takes over, we can bring it up at that time.

What would be posted on the main board, if we had separate stickied posts for each line and then undid it when a new line came out?

I dont have a problem with whatever JCF feels he wants to do, however I do think everyone's opinion should be considered. Judging by his reponse, I don't know that he did that but whatever. I guess when i find a basic series 1 bourne next month I'll post it and then make another post of my super cool findings of Series 1 Big show and HHH 6 months from now

If you haven't got pictures, you put it in those boards. That was always the rules.

While it does seem a bit much seeing 26 threads with pictures of Mattel Series 1....what else are we supposed to post on this board?
I mean, you get the occasional "Sale" threads....or info threads on new lineups, protos, etc. Why not just make the board a bunch of stickies then? That's boring.
I completely agree with what AdamBombo said... People need to learn how to use a digital camera. If you're taking & uploading blurry, dark and out of focus pictures...that is an unnecessary thread all around.
If anything, THAT is my biggest issue. Not people posting threads, its the ones who post "ZOMMGGSSS LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!!" and its a blurry picture of a Basic 1 Batista.

But then what's left for the board? We already split the suggestions to their own board. You stickie the findings and what's left? The D@mn hiow do you remove the elite Undertakers jacket? How do you remove the Elite Edge figures jacket? I mean seriously how many times have both of those been posted already! I'm sorry but if you can't figure out how to remove a jacket from a figure (especially when it's been asked and answered on a daily basis for the first week they were out) you have no business anywahere near a computer keyboard. I mean there's only so much you can sticky or make another board for. If you keep doing that then this board will be useless.

I personally don't have a problem with it. Yeah it gets a tad bit annoying seeing the same figures but from a different point of view, the person who took the time to take the pictures or what not loves feedback. The want their own thread with their own little comments and such. It what floats people's boats. Each person here is an individual.. we all love hearing good things about our buys and such. If you make a thread that no one will even go to...that'll make 'em But I do 100% agree with my homeboy Adam Bomb 666, If you're picture is wack, GTFO.

A lot of discussion threads end up moving back a few pages or worse yet we are getting people posting the same posts b/c they dont see it. I dont have time to rift through more than 3 pages. The Mattel board is pretty damn active and there are a lot of topics on pages 1-3 that would be better.

The Mattel board is pretty damn active and there are a lot of topics on pages 1-3 that would be better. I totally agree. There are discussions to be had, but they get pushed back to page 3 in 5 minutes of being posted because someone else got Basic 1 Evan Bourne. -Wishlists (which for some reason go in the Mattel Suggestion "Sandbox") -Distribution topics and trends -Fixes and idea for common problems with figures and accessories -Ideas and questions that get lost in the sauce because of the same "New pickups" threads over and over I can go on and on. And while these kind of topics get started, they are gone and forgotten in minutes, when in reality, they would and could provide good discussions. Basically, discussion on this board doesn't get a chance. The Mattel Wreslting Figure "Talk" board is basically a sub-board for all the crappy pictures and "Na na na na, look what I got" threads. EDIT: A perfect example of dedicated threads for a specific wave/line is the Official Build and Brawl thread over in the Jakks board. That thread is over 100 pages long, stays active, and keeps the board uncluttered.

I think the threads need to be stopped mainly because they just fuel post-whores. The people who pop in and say the same damn 'cool buys' or 'congrats!' in every single one of those them. That's what most of those threads turn into. An open invite to boost your post count.
While I don't think these threads kill the board, its something that could/should be monitored a bit.
