yea, I know, but as members of this communtiy we are also free to voice our concerns. I dont have a problem with whatever JCF feels he wants to do, however I do think everyone's opinion should be considered. Judging by his reponse, I don't know that he did that but whatever. I guess when i find a basic series 1 bourne next month I'll post it and then make another post of my super cool findings of Series 1 Big show and HHH 6 months from now Contributing to the problem is not going to fix it. You are either apart of the problem or part of the solution. Cliches aside, honestly, I was just agreeing with what you said in the original post and throwin you some support. Maybe people could show a little restraint when they come on the board and decide to post a picture of Batista seris 1. That certainly would help. I'm glad that the board is active but I really think that after stuffs been out a few months, put it in the Findings thread. But whatever, I'm done discussing it since nothings gonna change.

If people have pics in it, then that's a legit post. Some of us like seeing what's new, what's out there, and what people are buying. Sometimes there's sales, discounts, new series, *suprises* (Mattel has shown us), etc, etc, etc. The "official just bought" sticky is for people who don't have pictures. Why is it a problem? If you want to see the other topics, go to the 2nd page, that's where they are. It's not like the topics dissappear, they are just on the 2nd page...

You really don't find it just a little annoying seeing 8 posts on the same page of basically the same figures? I mean how many times a day can someone type "congrats, nice pickups" or the ever so confusing "keep it up" "Keep it up"? Are we giving sex advice here...?

OK it seems I'm in the minority here and I guess I'm part of the problem so I'll help out and stop posting pics here.

And here is where the conflict lies...you take awesome photos and add value to every thread you post in So I retract my statements. This place is what it is and it has been like this forever. It works. No need to "fix what ain't broke"

I know it wasn't directed at me, but I know I do post pics after others have posted them already. And I'll admit I do like looking at pics of other peoples collections. And it's just annoying when CM is posting this and then 2 posts down you see a post that was bumped from 6 months ago.

Well maybe people just get excited about their finds and would like to share with us. Some of them don't have friends who collect WWE figures & we might be the only people they can show. It is a toy website you know? Sorry to hear you don't have the time to go back three pages, must suck to have such a busy lifestyle. Well while we are at it... I can go without pictures of you stalking wrestlers. 90% of the time the wrestler looks uncomfortable and very ready to get away. I just feel bad for them. And it knocks all of Jsyn's "Push MVP" threads back.

I agree with CM Showstopper to an extent, if you look back several pages, the majority of threads barely break 20 posts before they're pushed back and forgotten about.
I think if you're going to post what you buy, you should either include a written review (that goes in depth) OR you should post at LEAST passable photos. I'm not saying I expect professional quality, I'm just saying it makes no sense to post pics that are horribly out of focus, suffer from terrible lighting, or flat out blurry. What's the point if you can barely make out what it is?
Here's an example. I posted a thread on the Elite CM Punk with detailed photos of his tattoos, and on my blog I had a write up/review - the thread I posted here got over forty replies, and 1,625 views.
Something like that, at least in my opinion helps people to determine if it's a good buy, creates discussion, and isn't around for more than a few hours before disappearing off of the board with only eight replies. I think posts like that are much more of an importance than, "new pick ups + pics" and there is a poorly shot photo of the figure carded, and loose.
Call me crazy.

I have no problem with repeat figure threads, i mean if people have bought new stuff and take the time to take pics then dont see no problem with seeing an old(ish) fig again.
Do agree with adambomb though that the pics should be a good quality atleast. Take PJ, i love going into his threads cos i know the pics will be great and can help sometimes with making my mind up on a fig im thinking of getting.

A reason for the thread to exist. Not just blurry MOC pictures. Like yesterday. I posted MOC pics of Basics 2. Also provided the exact store (to help out any local collectors) the case packout and my take on the figures. Not just a "New Pickupz" and a camera phone picture.

I disagree with the argument against posting new buys thing. People may want to see what others purchase, their review/insight and people also want to see different pics of figs (no pics are the exact same). Also, it isnt uncommon to people to discover something like discrepancies or differences. And in that case the thread contains two topics in one. It also allows repliers to ask a question about the fig or get advice. If you dont like seeing new buy threads then dont click the ones with those titles.
As for the fig finding topics, pictures should be shown if possible. However, 'breaking' finding news should be allowed to be posted to inform the new line is out or spreading.
Lets not forget the Mattel line has only been out for 22 days and the whole 'months' arguement is pure exaggeration. The whole findings threads are also more likely to pop up because the line has only just begun and mattels disitribution seems to be really fast paced.

Its okay to post new threads of findings if you have pictures, and they are figures that either haven't been released yet or no one has been able to obtain yet.

We're (at least I'm) not suggesting the threads stop, but for the love of god people should try harder and put SOME kind of substance in their threads.

Here is my problem and this goes for All 3 figure boards not just Mattel. There are some members like PJ who take high quality pics. Different angles with solid backgrounds where everything is not cluttered. He gives you a brief review and really it can help you decide if you want to buy that figure or not. I applaud him for his posts and even though I dont always respond to them, I read every thread that I notice PJ makes. He and people like him are quality members here....
Now the problem doesnt lie within if someone has already posted the pic and PJ is reposting it. Its the fact that 90% of these boards are filled with 13-14-15yos who apparently cant operate a camera or take a properly lite cell phone pic. If you just picked up a series 1 figure (That we've all seen for MONTHS) and the best picture you can show us is John Cena laying on your dirty ass bed in near pitch black lighting and it looks like its snowing....DONT POST. It contributes NOTHING to the board. I only joined 4 years ago but the board has dropped massively in intelligence since Ive been here. I would imagine that some of the original members are probably wondering what's happened to this place. Just use some common sense. If you picked up a 1 in 4 billion John Cena, congrats....but we dont need to see it...Again and again and again and again.

Just an idea...
You could have a sticky for each individual figure...or series...
"Found Kane Basic 2 Thread"
or
"Found Basic 2 Thread"
That way everyone can post it in the same threads...
