I have no use for Evan Bourne, if I did the 98 variations that Mattel made of him would make me happy though. I don't understand why Mattel fans get so hung up on the scale of the figures, and ignore the terrible scans, horrible hair, toothpick arms and middle aged legs. I compare Mattel fig fans to the IWC, since they want figures that they can relate to, just like the IWC loves wrestlers that they can relate to. IE skinny, bland and lacking imagination. I like my wrestlers larger than life, Jakks gives me that. If I want reality I'd watch tv. This is Mattels first time working a wrestling line. What did Jakks first scans look like? As time goes on the headscan issue will be resolved. Then what will you bitch about? Too skinny, oh because Jakks got the arm size just right? Not everybody is a Jacked up steroid abuser Atleast Mattel isn't reusing the same parts over and over again and failing to give guys parts that are realistic. Christian with a ing heavyweight chest? Johnny Nitro with a super heavyweight chest? Yea keep your bodybuilder crusierweight guys, i'll stick with the realism of my Mattel collection. You know the one where all of my figures are in scale and Big Show actually towers over Jericho. Well enjoy your 30 yearold version of Finlay with his "accurate" torso. Triple H's orange hair is a thing of beauty and that Edge Heritage scan is simply amazing. I especially love the incredibly "life like" likeness of Kofi's face, and that Cody Rhodes is great even if it looks nothing like Cody and more like Bourne. I have to give a shout-out to knock-up job Mattel did with Miz Swagger. Mattel > JAkks.

Mattels version of Orton Jakks more recent attempt at a modern Orton Great representation or the '' Viper''

I especially love Orton's cartoonish Bobby Hill looking face and the cute little lips that Mattel gave him. He looks like such a bad ass.

Randy is not tall and thin, Randy is tall and ripped, and the jakks figure captures him that way.
Seriously, this board must consist of bodybuilders, because if Randy Orton is a skinny pencil armed dweeb, then I shudder to think what an actual ripped guy looks like.

Do you see how big that chest is on the Jakks figure. Im convinced your gimmick posting right now. Randy is chisled no doubt, but he is not a big guy. Very lean. I have seen him front row before. Jakks gave him the big HW chest, when the ripped crusierweight chest would have been more suitable. Your an idiot plain and simple and now your just gimmick posting. Done with ya.

First off... I must be sincerely disconnected with teen internet-language. What the F is a "mark?"
Who cares? What does it matter? I am a Jakks fan, but moreso due to the big names they captured in their CS line.
I personally think the Mattels look silly, but that's just me vs. someone else's opinion. What does this accomplish by creating a "civil war" between collectors?
Bottom line... buy what makes you happy, and close your damn mouth (not everything needs rationalizing).

As for whats better Jakks or Mattel, I stand by my previous statement... THEY'RE ING TOYS!!

When my brother and I watched wrestling in the 90's, we'd say "good guys and bad guys..." Even if one product is sincerely superior.... WHO CARESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Is this a debate forum?

This is going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG war...
Seriously, they're just toys. If you like one and other the other fine. Both have pro's and con's. I prefer Jakks, but I don't bash Mattel-lovers.

........................... AND? Teh Mattelz suckz, go Jakkz! Jakks is a pathetic, cheap, horrible little company who's best days are behind the. This has nothing to do with marks or smarks, or anything else. Mattel makes highly detailed figures and has a much bigger budget to do so than Jakks. Mattel is the top toy company in the world. Jakks isn't even in the top 10. Mattel is a household name. People dislike Mattel for 2 reasons 1 .The figures are not as bulky. These are meant to be in the likeness of human beings not apes. 2. Some people put alot of money into their Jakks collections and refuse to start over again, which is fine but why deny a better product? I like your points. Why someone would even argue that jakks is a more realistic toy is beyond me. Jakks figures may be larger than life and that may be what people like but there's no reason to knock the accuracy that Mattel tries to achieve. I to think, it's more sour grapes then anything else. Personally, i'm annoyed by the band wagon jumpers that love Jakks one minute then love mattels the next. I enjoyed what Jakks offered because...what else did i have? Now I have a choice and I'm going with what i like which is mattles right now, even though I still enjoy some of Jakks products. For me Mattles are just more my "type" of figure. I've always liked "action figures" and Jakks were so "doll like". Hell even some of the wrestlers referred to them as dolls. And Jakks was/is so behind the times in articulation and sculpts that it makes you scratch your head how this company was ever a top toy company. Most of the UFC figures are an absolute abomination...they all either look like frogs or buggs with big heads and torsos and long arms and legs....yuck. So really jakks needs to look at their product a bit and when they start losing arguments and consumers to the competion, they have only themselves to blame.

Mattel are awesome... I mean, check out the Matt Hardy headscan! God bless. It a great representation of Matt in PROFILE, but head-on it does make him look like he's about 14. I still love it, as a whole though.

You see this is my problem. When I've told people on other forums and told my friends who collect wrestling figures that I will continue to collect Jakks, I get this stuff like 'but Mattel has better scale!' and 'nobody has the right torso!' or crap like that. So what? I'm not disputing Mattel or it's collectors, I just prefer it to Mattel is all.
Just because somebody chooses to stay with Jakks and not jump ship to Mattel doesn't make them an idiot. It just means that the Mattel figures aren't the person's cup of tea. Fair enough. It's like I will collect Mattel's DC Universe Classics as opposed to things from DC Direct because I prefer it. People have their preferences. If they wanna collect Mattel, let them. If they wanna collect Jakks, let them, but there is really no need to get bitchy with each other and argue over it.
Bottom line: Just cause they have different preferences doesn't make them wrong. It's not worth arguing over.

OMG you guys are fighting about whether Mattel or Jakks is better. Personally I prefer Mattel but I don't go to message boards and fight with somebody about who is better. Just buy what you prefer and don't go around saying how bad the other company is.

Thats whats so confusing to me. The things they are saying '' suck'' about Mattel figures are so miniscule compared to Jakks flaws. what confuses me is the fact that you mattel morons keep coming into a jakks thread praising mattel What confuses me is, Why once a week a guy comes on the Mattel board to tell us that the whole line "fell flat"? Or how someone can call fans of one toy line "marks" while praising the other company. Real contradicting, Genius.

It's really getting sad guys. Really. I used to like the Jakks board. I go on both Mattel and Jakks boards, all I see on Mattel boards are 'New pick-up' threads and discussions about upcoming products and what not. Yet I come on this board, and though there are some threads like those, there are many ripping on Mattel and people who like Mattel. I like Mattel. I like Jakks. I think Mattel has given us a better product than Jakks, for what reasons? Detail and scale. I just don't get why people can't just say, 'Okay, well, I like Jakks better' or 'Okay, I like Mattel better' and then follow it up with 'here's why...'
But, no, "Mattel is for MARKS" is a much better and much more mature argument.
