I walk into Target and see some Elite 2. I have all the guys in Elite 2 that I wanted, but just looked through them with the crazy idea I might find Jeff Hardy lol.
All of the Elite 2's were tainted. They had Truth, HHH, Batista, DiBiase, and Orton. All of the cloth clothes were taken out of the packages. In the space where they went these jokers put the mattel superstar name tag in place of it. In HHH's package, they put a jakks cookie sheet.
I don't have pics sorry, but this is what I saw
Worst thing is...the Batista figure was missing it's knee and elbow pads...WTF?!?!?!
Why would you swap everything EXCEPT the figure? The figures are amazing compared to the cloth shirts.

that is lame as hell. im sure they had the basics of them and wanted shirts or what not. sad. Say you had the basic Batista, I don't swap or do anything like that, but thinking smart wouldn't you swap the basic out for the elite? The Elite is a much better figure. As long as you are swapping why not get the best you can get out of it? Instead of swapping the figure you swap for the shirt? lol |

It sucks. I saw Elite Rey the other day (and had every intention of grabbing it) but some a-hole had cut all of his accessorizes out of the packaging. Ridiculous.

Man at one of my walmarts someone swapped out new mattell figures, and put in an old DA matt Hardy, Randy orton, HHH, and Undertaker. At first I saw the Undertaker and said to myself "that looks similiar to the DA." took a closer look, and had to laugh and do the Ron Simmons DAMN!

 this makes no sense whats so ever! they bought a $15 fig just so they can return it and keep accessories but not the expensive figure.........well atleast they kinda tought about the others that collect! |

i agree with the people that took the clothes ^_^ kidding kidding people
anyways, not a big mattel guy but I will say that is kinda dumb, I mean most of Elite 2 is really good.

This kind of stuff was inevitable. As long as stores don't monitor their returns/figure aisles, we'll keep seeing it. You're going to get Basic, RA, and DA collectors looting these figures more and more. Only a matter of time before we start seeing the swaps on EG figures as well. I know I've already seen an EG Rey in an Elite packaging. Very odd switch too, since they only took the Elite figure, and left the accessories.

at my walmart I saw someone swapped out a BCA stone cold for a PPV 1 stone cold. Pretty scummy if you ask me.

Not that I'm condoning it but.... Not everyone thinks the Elites are better. I usually prefer the basic, but I have BOUGHT some elite for their accessories. These people obviously want the basic figure, but don't want to also spend the money for the elite. |
