I am talking about the guy that got laid off and is out on the streets with his family. Not the junkies. I should have been more clear. Honestly, I don't feel too bad for those people either. If you live so close to the edge that you're out on the streets within a couple of months of losing your job, you're living way, way close to the edge. What did they think would happen? I can work 2-3 part time jobs in fast food and make enough to pay my mortgage and eat. Why can't they do that?

There has to be someone that is homeless through no fault of their own. That is who I care about.

I feel the same way. Like two months ago there was a stay outside my house, and actually followed me inside. I let him in and tried to give him food and such, but he turned out to be a crazy er. Ran around the house in circles, screaming and hissing. Eventually I just opened the door and he left.

I have no sympathy for people that make bad choices and I would expect no sympathy when I make bad choices. except that you don't understand their lives or how they interpret life, so you're making an illogical basis that everyone is the same and has the same expectations. obviously people on the street have something inanely wrong with them or they'd correct themselves. it's a bigger issue than just 'being lazy'.

Some cases it is, some cases it isn't. I know a guy that hangs out outside my work place almost all day. He spends the hours that he doesn't do that across the highway begging for money on the side of the road. He's even smart enough to go out and do it during morning and afternoon rush hours. With the amound of cigs and food this guy buys throughout each day, he could probably pay my bills at the end of the month. But in most cases you're right. There are however alot of lazy ones who find it easier to beg than work.

My neighborhood has tons of stray cats, and when I moved in I wanted to save them all, it was really tough for me. But the whole neighborhood kind of pitches in and leaves them food, and I think they keep warm in the street drains. It was tough for me to get used to.

We feed the squirrels here, rarely cats. Though they're strong enough to survive on their own, it's just plain fun to watch a squirrel chipping away at a peanut.

There's an opening under my house where cats come and go as they wish. Pretty sweet. Although, it does scare the **** out of me in the middle of the night. Haha. My cat rarely leaves the house though. Well, that's not entirely true. She left long enough to where she's going to have kittens soon. I can't wait.

I recently took in a deaf white cat in from the snow. Like literally 3 days ago. Seriously? That is awesome! +1 from me and +1 from God.
