I'm liking what you're doing with this. You're making changes but not drastic changes (nor stupid ones). One thing I don't like, is Abyss going for the Global Championship since in storyline TNA made that into a belt that couldn't be defended in the US nor against American's. I'm not sure if you changed that and I missed it, and if so sorry. Looking forward to Genesis.

January 17th, 2010 Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida A video package opens the show, this one highlighting the events that took place on TNA’s live three hour Monday night Impact. It finishes off by recapping the big feuds heading into tonight’s pay-per-view.
“The Professor” Mike Tenay and Taz welcome the audience to the show and hype up tonight’s big card. They also remind us that Hulk Hogan will be appearing on pay-per-view tonight as well as the big debut of a new addition to the TNA roster signed personally by Hogan himself!X-Division Championship: Amazing Red (c) vs. Brian KendrickKendrick came down to the ring first to some decent heat. Red followed suit and got a nice positive pop from the Impact Zone. This match was fast and furious. They traded quick paced moves early on and had a standoff. Kendrick gained an upper hand by nailing Red with a rake of the eyes. He used that advantage to take firm control for a while. Kendrick hit a German suplex, enziguri and then went to the top rope. He leaped off and attempted a turning frog splash but Red moved out of the way. He quickly went for a pin but Kendrick got his shoulder up. Amazing Red sent Kendrick off the ropes and connected with the “seeing red” for a near fall. He took Kendrick to the corner and hit a tornado DDT. Red didn’t go for another pin attempt, but instead climbed to the top. He jumped off and nailed a beautiful Shooting Star Press. He covered but Kendrick got his foot on the bottom rope. He went to lift Kendrick, but Kendrick sent him into the turnbuckle. He ran in and nailed him with a back flip kick. He chopped Red a few times in the corner and then called for Sliced Bread No. 2. He went for it but Red pushed him into the corner and rolled him up as he bounced back for another near fall. They got up at the same time and Kendrick ended up setting up for a wheelbarrow type move, only to have Red reverse it into a bulldog. He picked him up and drilled a brain buster, which got him just another near fall. The crowd and announcers were stunned at all of these close calls. Red waited for Kendrick to get up and went for a tiger feint kick, but Kendrick ducked it and hooked him for Sliced Bread No. 2 again. He went for it and flipped over, but Red smartly flipped with him, landing behind him. He spun him around and hit the Code Red from out of nowhere to pick up the victory. Winner and Still X Division Champion: Amazing Red (12:01) ***¾The cameras cut to the back, where Hulk Hogan is shown sitting behind a desk. Mick Foley enters and Hogan immediately commends him on the booking of tonight’s show. Hogan feels that it will be a great night. Foley thanks him but asks about the guy who will be debuting tonight. Hogan smiles and says that Foley will find out when everybody else does. Foley asks when that will be and Hogan says it’ll come when the time is right.
Christy Hemme is now shown standing by with Mr. Anderson. She asks him about what should be a tough battle tonight with Samoa Joe. Anderson reminds her that he did say TNA was his place to shine and no overweight, out of shape Samoan is going to change that. He promises that TNA fans will forever remember the name MR...ANDERSON…..ANDERSON!!!The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Beer Money Inc.Beer Money made their way to the ring first to a pretty loud pop from the crowd. The Motor City Machine Guns were next and got a good ovation as well, almost as loud as Beer Money. The crowd was pumped for this and that was obvious from the start. Robert Roode and Chris Sabin began as the legal men and they traded shots early on. Sabin got the better of their standoff, which upset Roode. He tagged in Storm, who fared better. The two teams went back and forth for a while until Beer Money took advantage when they cut the ring in half on Sabin. That allowed them to hit some of their trademark moves like their double suplex, catapult into DDT, and their Samoan drop/neck breaker combo. Roode covered Sabin for a near fall. He tossed him into the corner, ran in and hit a stiff clothesline. Roode climbed to the top and attempted a splash but Sabin moved. Both men were down, but began to crawl towards their partners. They made the tag at the same time and Shelley and Storm began to trade fists. Shelley stopped this by kicking Storm in the leg twice and finishing with a super kick. Once Storm hit the ground, Shelley locked on the Border City Stretch. Storm looked close to tapping but Roode broke it up. Shelley then hit Storm with It Came From Japan II [cross legged fisherman buster] for a near fall. He tagged in Sabin and placed Storm in the tree of woe position. Shelley hit a baseball slide dropkick followed by Sabin’s hesitation dropkick. Sabin lifted him for the Cradle Shock but Roode nailed him from behind. Shelley charged at Roode but was caught with a belly to belly suplex, sending him into the turnbuckle. Storm hit Sabin with the Eye of the Storm at this point. Beer Money followed that with the DWI to pick up the victory. Winners: Beer Money Inc. (15:29) ****Beer Money helped the Motor City Machine Guns to their feet and shook hands after the match. The Motor City Machine Guns raised Beer Money’s arms in victory as the crowd gave both teams a good hand. The cameras now go to the back where AJ Styles is shown in his locker room, shining up his World Heavyweight Title. Ric Flair enters, but he’s not alone, as he brought Desmond Wolfe and an unknown female with him. AJ asks what this is about and Flair says that AJ’s not the only guy in TNA that has impressed him. He loves Wolfe’s style and feels that he would be a great protégé, like AJ. AJ says that he hopes Flair is right about being able to help his career. Flair promises that he can help and he’ll prove it tonight. AJ turns to Wolfe and asks who the woman is. Wolfe responds by saying that her name is Chelsea and whatever she wants, she gets. AJ shakes Wolfe’s hand and says that being on the same side could mean great things.Knockouts Championship [2 Out of 3 Falls]: Tara (c) vs. ODBODB came out to a mixed reaction, but more boos than cheers. Tara got a good pop from the Impact Zone. Before the bell even rang, ODB attacked Tara. She placed her in the corner and leveled her with lefts and rights. ODB tossed her into the opposite corner, ran in and hit her with an avalanche. Tara fell down in the corner and ODB ran in and nailed the Bronco Buster. She was fired up, which the crowd disapproved of. ODB picked up Tara and smashed her head into the turnbuckle twelve times, climbed to the second rope and hit a diving Thez press for a near fall. ODB then lifted Tara for a fall away slam, but Tara elbowed her way out of it. Tara got behind ODB and rolled her up for a surprise first fall victory. ODB was furious that she beat down on Tara for so long, only to have her sneak in a pin. She pounced right back on Tara with another Thez press. She sent Tara off the ropes and hit her with a Spear for a near fall. ODB climbed to the top and attempted her missile dropkick, but Tara moved out of the way. Tara got on the offensive now, as once ODB got up she hit her with a snap suplex. Tara followed that with her standing moon sault and slingshot somersault leg drop for a near fall. Tara then hit the Spider’s Web for another near fall. She called for the end and hooked ODB for the Widow’s Peak, but ODB wriggled free and hit the fall away slam. She kipped-up and lifted Tara, but she broke free and nailed the Widow’s Peak anyway to sweep the match. Winner and Still Knockouts Champion: Tara (10:03) **¼The crowd cheered as Tara celebrated her 2-0 victory in this two out of three falls match. She left up the entryway with her title raised high.
The cameras now catch the locker room of the World Elite. Their faithful leader, TNA Global Champion Eric Young is standing while the rest of them are sitting. He says that he wants tonight to be a successful night for them. In order for that to happen, he has to retain his belt against Abyss and the British Invasion must keep their Tag Team Titles. He tells Rob Terry to accompany them to the ring, while he tells Homicide & Kyoshi to come with him. He promises that tonight is just one of many great nights for the World Elite.Tara is shown again, resting in the back after her successful title defense. Angelina Love walks up to her and Tara quickly is ready to defend herself. Love tells her that she’s not here for a fight; she just wants to let Tara know that now that she’s returned, she wants her Knockouts Title back. Tara tells her to just try and take it. Love promises to, but at that moment the Beautiful People attack her from behind. All three of them put the boots to Love, but Tara intervenes and hits Lacey Von Erich. Before she can do further damage though, Velvet Sky nails her with the Ugly Stick. They walk away leaving Love & Tara down and out.Global Championship: Eric Young (c) w/ Homicide & Kyoshi vs. “The Monster” AbyssThe challenger was the first man out, to a nice hand from the audience. The Champion followed, along with his cronies, to boos. This began with a collar and elbow tie up and Abyss sent Young crashing to the ground. Young attempted a tie up again and was thrust to the ground. He went for it again, but stepped on Abyss’ foot. That allowed him to get the upper hand and he nailed the challenger with lefts and rights. He worked Abyss over in the corner until he got him down. He then climbed to the top and nailed a diving elbow for a near fall. Young then began to try to wear down the big man. That worked as well for a short while until Abyss broke free of a sleeper hold attempt. The Monster caught fire at this point. He threw Young into the corner and hit an avalanche there. He then lifted him up and dropped him with a gorilla press slam. He followed that with the Shock Treatment and went for the cover. Kyoshi pulled the referee out of the ring though. The referee began to argue with him, which allowed Homicide to sneak in the other side of the ring. He pulled out the slap jack he used to use in his LAX days and leveled Abyss in the back of the head with it. He then placed Eric Young’s arm over Abyss. The referee got back in and counted the three, allowing Young to retain the belt. Winner and Still Global Champion: Eric Young (6:23) **Eric Young was helped out of the ring by his World Elite buddies as the crowd booed loudly. Young has managed to escape Genesis with his Global Championship still intact.
Jeremy Borash is now standing by with “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle. He asks Angle about AJ Styles’ recent change of behavior. Kurt reminds JB that he knows what it’s like to be on the path he’s on now and the one he was on during his Main Event Mafia days. He says that AJ is one of the guys that helped him change his ways and to see AJ going down the road Flair is leading him to is a sad thing. He promises to go out there and give winning the belt his best shot and he hopes the real AJ Styles shows up tonight.
An advertisement for next month’s Against All Odds pay-per-view is shown. The theme of the commercial seems to have something to do with poker and talks about an 8 Card Stud Tournament.
Hulk Hogan is now shown in his office on a cell phone. He’s telling the person on the other side that he’s glad they’ve arrived and that he’s going to pick them up from the parking lot now. He goes to leave and tells the camera man that he can’t come along in order to keep the surprise.“The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe vs. Mr. AndersonThe brash Mr. Anderson was first to come out in the Impact Zone and he got a whole lot of heat, but there were some cheers mixed in. Once Samoa Joe’s theme hit though, the building went crazy as he made his way to the ring. Before Joe could fully step through the ropes though, Anderson attacked him. It was clear that he was going to take any advantage he possibly could to pick up a win here tonight. Anderson put Joe in the corner and hit him with a few knee strikes to the gut, sending Joe into a seated position. Anderson then ran off the ropes and connected with a running face wash, before taunting to the crowd. Anderson picked Joe up and chopped him a few times before connecting with a snap DDT for a near fall. Anderson picked Joe up again, but Joe broke free and hit Anderson with a flurry of slaps that was finished off with a kick. Anderson rolled to the outside to catch a breather but Joe met him with an elbow suicida. He then placed Anderson on a steel chair near a guardrail and went for the Ole kick, only to have Anderson dodge it. Joe’s foot got caught in the guardrail and Anderson took advantage by hitting him with a neck breaker. He climbed in the ring and was trying to get the count out win, but Joe made it back inside at the eight count. This infuriated Anderson, who lifted Joe and went for the Mic Check, but Joe elbowed out of it. Joe nailed him with a bridging power bomb for a near fall, which he turned right into an STF. Anderson struggled for a while but managed to reach the ropes in time. Joe picked him up and went to toss him in the corner, but Anderson reversed it and sent him in. He charged at Joe but was caught with a STJoe for another near fall. Joe called for the end of the match as he successfully sent Anderson into the corner. He placed him on the top rope for the Muscle Buster, but Anderson raked him in the eyes. From there, he jumped over Joe and hit him with a block buster. He covered and Joe managed to get a shoulder up. Anderson lifted Joe and attempted to throw him in the corner, but Joe reversed it and sent him in. Joe charged at Anderson this time and Anderson moved, causing Joe to hit the turnbuckle. Anderson snuck behind him and rolled him up, placed his feet on the ropes, and got the three count. Winner: Mr. Anderson (16:27) ***½Mr. Anderson may have cheated, but he did nab the first win of his TNA career and a win over Samoa Joe goes a long way in someone’s career.
The cameras cut to Jeremy Borash, who is in the locker room of “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero. He asks Dinero about Desmond Wolfe seemingly joining forces with AJ Styles and Ric Flair. The Pope says that while it is an interesting situation, things like that don’t matter to him because regardless of who Wolfe brings to the ring with him, he still plans on pimp slapping him all the way to victory.TNA World Tag Team Championship: The British Invasion (c) w/ Rob Terry vs. Matt Morgan & HernandezThe challengers arrived to the ring first to a nice hand from the crowd as they are a truly imposing threat to the Tag Titles. The Champions followed to some great heat as you’d expect. Morgan started the match along with Magnus. Magnus was fairly confident in his strength but lost all that confidence once he tried a test of strength with Morgan. He began to dominate Magnus with some physical moves. He hit a sidewalk slam, fallaway slam and a choke slam but only got a near fall. He tagged in Hernandez who came in and did a number on Magnus as well. Magnus managed to use an eye poke, and made the tag to Williams. He was smart enough to use his technical expertise to wear down “Super Mex”. He nailed him with a European uppercut and a running high knee. He then climbed to the top and hit the Bombs Away knee drop for a near fall. He tossed Hernandez to the outside, but the big man got right back up to the apron. He then hit his springboard shoulder block and tagged in Morgan. He immediately hooked Williams for a gut wrench power bomb, but Magnus ran in and broke it up with a clothesline. The British Invasion quickly nailed a double team move that consisted of Magnus hitting Morgan with a big boot that Williams followed with a German suplex. Morgan managed to get his shoulder up though. Williams sent Morgan into the corner and went for the Chaos Theory, but Morgan held onto the ropes. Once Williams got up, Morgan caught him with the Carbon Footprint. He covered but Williams got his foot on the ropes. Morgan tagged Hernandez in and just as he got to the apron, Rob Terry pulled him down and hit him with a full nelson slam. Magnus distracted the referee as Terry entered the ring and hit the same move on Hernandez. Williams locked on a guillotine choke and Hernandez was out cold from Terry’s move so the official called for the bell. Winners and Still TNA World Tag Team Champions: The British Invasion (11:47) **¾The British Invasion celebrated with their belts as they left up the ramp to a chorus of boos. Morgan got back inside and ring and checked on Hernandez. He helped him up and then began to yell at him, saying he cost them the match. Hernandez argued back and Morgan eventually calmed down. They went to leave, but Morgan turned and drilled him with the Carbon Footprint. The crowd booed him as he left.“The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero vs. Desmond Wolfe w/ ChelseaDesmond Wolfe came out first, to mostly boos, but the audience was very interested in the beautiful Chelsea. Dinero followed to a huge pop from the crowd. These two began with a feeling out process. Wolfe used his ability on the mat to gain early control in this one. He worked Dinero’s arm by using a few submissions. He then placed Dinero in multiple hammerlocks, which he turned into different moves like a Northern lights suplex, DDT and Divorce Court. Wolfe sent Dinero into the corner and hit a few European uppercuts. He then ran to the opposite corner and ran back for a big uppercut, but Dinero moved. He then began to light up Wolfe with some furious right hands. He finished off the flurry with a huge uppercut, which he followed with the Outer Limits elbow for a near fall. Dinero then sent Wolfe off the ropes and connected with a flying forearm. Wolfe got up quick and swung at Dinero, but he ducked and went for a German suplex. Wolfe tried to elbow his way out of it, but Dinero wouldn’t let go. Wolfe pulled the referee close to him, which allowed him to nail Dinero with a low blow. Wolfe then head butted Dinero and nailed him with a stiff lariat for a near fall. He picked up “The Pope” and sent him into the corner, but it was reversed. As Wolfe went in, he went straight into a headstand on the top turnbuckle. Dinero was confused by this tactic, but charged at him, only to be met with a double foot mule kick. Wolfe got down and charged at Dinero but was met with an STO. Dinero then placed Wolfe on the second rope and hit the Coronation. He celebrated with the fans as he usual does, until Chelsea came up to him. She flirted with him, but Dinero quickly realized that he needed to get back in the ring. He got back on the apron and Wolfe went to nail him but Dinero caught him with the Pimp Slap. Wolfe stumbled back to the ropes as Dinero fully got back in the ring. Wolfe rebounded off the second rope and hit the Jawbreaker Lariat to pick up the huge victory. Winner: Desmond Wolfe (17:51) ****Desmond Wolfe and Chelsea celebrated the win to some very good heat from the Impact Zone. The cameras cut away though to show a build up video for the upcoming TNA World Heavyweight Title match.TNA World Heavyweight Championship: AJ Styles (c) w/ Ric Flair vs. Kurt AngleThe challenger, Kurt Angle, came out first to the biggest pop of the night so far. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles got a mixed reaction from the Impact Zone. This match began with a collar and elbow tie up. That led to some basic mat wrestling, which is an area that Angle held an advantage. Styles is no slouch though and he managed to hang tough with Angle. After a short while of the mat wrestling, Angle sent AJ off the ropes and dropped him with a shoulder block. He ran off the ropes, AJ leapt over him, then dropped under him as Angle came back off the ropes and on Angle’s third trip off the ropes AJ connected with a beautiful dropkick. Angle rolled to the outside and AJ went right after him with the Fosbury Flop, but Angle moved. AJ looked to possibly be hurt as he crashed pretty hard. Angle put him back in the ring and covered for a near fall. Angle lifted AJ, who attempted a quick right hand, but Angle ducked and got behind the Champion. He nailed him with a German suplex, and then a second. He went for the trifecta but AJ broke free and hit the Pele from out of nowhere. He covered but Angle kicked out. AJ took control of the match at this point. He sent Angle off the ropes and caught him with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker that he immediately followed with a gut buster. He picked up Angle for a vertical suplex and dropped it into a neck breaker slam for a near fall. AJ then pulled out the ‘Styling DDT [back flip spring board DDT] for another near fall. The frustration could now be seen in AJ’s face as he couldn’t seem to put away Angle. AJ climbed to the top, but Angle got up quickly and met him with a huge top rope release German suplex. After being down for a while, Angle got up first and waited for AJ to do the same. He went for the Angle Slam but AJ got out of it only to get hit with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Angle climbed to the top and connected with his beautiful moonsault for another near fall. Angle quickly went right to the ankle and locked on the Ankle Lock. AJ began to struggle to find a way out. He was desperately reaching for the ropes but couldn’t seem to reach it. Flair pushed the bottom rope towards AJ, which allowed him to get a slight grip on it, which is all the referee managed to catch and forced Angle to break the hold. This led to Angle going to the outside and arguing with Flair. Flair backed down but chopped Angle at the first chance he got. Angle retaliated with a European uppercut that sent Flair to the floor. During this time Chelsea came out and slid the World Title in the ring to AJ. When Angle got back inside, AJ nailed him with it behind the referee’s back. AJ then went to the apron and nailed the springboard 450 splash to pick up the victory. Winner and Still TNA World Heavyweight Champion: AJ Styles (20:27) ****¼After the match Desmond Wolfe came down to meet up with AJ, Flair and Chelsea. They all celebrated in the ring together until Kurt Angle got up. He got behind Flair and hit him with the Angle Slam. That led to AJ and Wolfe putting the boots to him. Jeff Hardy’s theme hit as the “Charismatic Enigma” ran down to an enormous pop. He was holding his own and actually had the advantage over Wolfe and Hardy until Chelsea nailed him with a low blow. This allowed AJ and Wolfe to once again put the boots to Angle and now Jeff. An unfamiliar theme hit and out came Rob Van Dam! He quickly climbed to the top and nailed Wolfe with a diving kick. He then hit AJ with an enziguri and followed it with Rolling Thunder. Wolfe, AJ, Flair and Chelsea backed up the ramp as RVD helped Angle & Jeff Hardy up. The crowd was roaring at the debut of TNA’s newest superstar, Rob Van Dam!

-Fine to see Red retain. Hope Kendrick gets the title soon. -Beer Money winning is nice. -Tara beating ODB is great. -Young beating Abyss is good as well. Hopefully you bring "Big" Rob Terry. -Anderson beating Joe was excellent. Two of my favorite TNA Superstars. Hope there is a rematch between the two. -British Invasion winning was good as well. Lots of good decisions in there! -Don't know whether or not I'm a fan of Wolfe beating Dinero. They are both very good. Though I'm kind of it the middle. -Styles beating Angle was a good decision. It would have been fine either way.
-Great show, Kev.
