I would imagine this is somewhere around February of 1997 looking at your roster. There is so much talent and so much competition down South, that this is a rough year to book; however, you seem to know what you are doing and I am extremely excited to see this work out.

Thanks, I'm starting this from the 1st April 1997, I'm going to include some parts that happened for real but with my own kind of twist on it to begin with and then take it from there.
I already have a couple of weeks written out ready to be posted so watch out for that!

Wrestlemania XIII Sunday 23rd March 1997
The Headbangers defeated The New Blackjacks, The Godwinns and Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon
WWF Intercontinental Championship Rocky Maivia defeated The Sultan
Hunter Hearst-Helmsley defeated Goldust
WWF Tag Team Championship Owen Hart & The British Bulldog fought Mankind & Vader to a double count out
Bret Hart defeated Steve Austin (Ken Shamrock as guest referee)
The Road Warriors and Ahmed Johnson defeated The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush and Savio Vega)
WWF World Championship The Undertaker defeated Sycho Sid
Following Wrestlemania...Tempers finally boiled over as Owen Hart and The British Bulldog came to blows during a match against The Headbangers, Hart felt that he did not need Bulldog’s help to pin Headbanger Thrasher and let him know in no uncertain terms. Following an exchange of punches, WWF officials pulled the Tag Team Champions apart and Owen took the opportunity to challenge The Bulldog to a match for his European Championship at the following week’s Raw is War. Bret Hart decided to speak from the heart and get some things off his chest. Bret told the American wrestling fans that he felts they had shown him no respect by cheering on Steve Austin instead of him and in return, he would no longer show any respect to them. The Hitman also sent a message to the WWF as in his own words, he was “Tired of being screwed over” following months of decisions going against him. This prompted the return of Shawn Michaels who cut The Hitman off and told him to stop complaining about being booed and ‘screwed over’. After an exchange of words, Hart attacked HBK and locked him in a figure 4 leg lock around the ring post in an attempt to reinjure Michaels’ recently surgically repaired knee. The feud between Mankind and The Undertaker was reignited when Mankind’s manager Paul Bearer tried to reconcile with The Undertaker, in an attempt to win him back, Mankind attacked the Undertaker. On the following week’s Superstars, Mankind threw a fireball into the face of The Undertaker leaving his face burnt and singed. Bret Hart managed to get Owen and The Bulldog to settle their differences and join him in creating The New Hart Foundation with the intention of bringing back some ‘‘dignity and respect’’ to the WWF. The feud between Ahmed Johnson and The Nation of Domination continues despite Faarooq being injured at the hands of Ahmed and The Legion of Doom during the Chicago street fight at Wrestlemania. Ahmed has since issued a challenge to The Nation that if he beats one member, they will leave the WWF for good. The challenge has yet to be answered. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley and Goldust also continue their long running feud which began with the Connecticut blue blood attempting to steal Marlena away from Goldust. Marlena was injured at Wrestlemania due to an attack by Hunter’s new bodyguard, Chyna. Begin date: 1st April 1997

Monday 7th April 1997 “Tonight on Raw is War, the Intercontinental title is on the line as Rocky Maivia takes on the man they call ‘Vader’! In addition to that, the British Bulldog and Owen Hart will defend their Tag Team titles against The Legion of Doom! Steve Austin will be in action tonight as he takes on the deranged Mankind! We also have a special interview with none other than The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels!” Aldo Montoya vs. The Sultan This was The Sultan’s first match since losing to Rocky Miavia at Wrestlemania and as expected, he wanted to take out some frustration. After delivering a lot of punishment to Montoya, the Sultan locked in the Camel Clutch for the win. Winner: The Sultan via submission. Hunter-Hearst Helmsley promo
HHH dismisses the challenge of Goldust and gloats about his victory over him at Wrestlemania. He also tells Goldust of his pleasure at seeing Chyna break Marlena’s ribs before adding that he will be sending him to the hospital, right next to Marlena. The New Blackjacks vs. The Godwinns This match could only be described as a brawl as two powerful teams went at it both inside and outside of the ring. The action got so heated that neither team took notice as referee Jack Doan counted both teams out, only briefly pausing at the ringing of the bell and the announcement that the match had ended a no contest before both teams carried on their brawl back up the aisle. Winners: No contest.Faarooq with The Nation of Domination promo Faarooq is back after recovering from the injuries dealt to him at Wrestlemania by Ahmed Johnson. The leader of The Nation of Domination addresses the challenge made by Ahmed which stated that if Ahmed Johnson was to beat one member of The Nation, then they will have to leave the WWF for good. Faarooq accepted the challenge on the grounds that Ahmed will run a gauntlet, facing Savio Vega, Crush and finally Ahmed, if he manages to beat all three men, Faarooq will disband The Nation of Domination. Ahmed appeared at the top of the stage with a microphone in hand to accept the revised challenge. Goldust vs. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley From the start it was clear to see that both men had set out to inflict pain on one another rather than win a wrestling match. Late on in the match, referee Jimmy Korderas was knocked down, seizing her chance, Chyna climbed up onto the apron to distract Goldust, allowing HHH to deliver a low blow followed by the Pedigree. Korderas gained his bearings in time to makes the pin. With Goldust lying prone, HHH and Chyna laid kicks into him before making their way back to their dressing room. Winner: Hunter Hearst-Helmsley.Vader vs. Rocky Maivia Vader dominated the match for the most part and came close to winning the Intercontinental title after delivering a Vader Bomb to Maivia but Maivia just managed to kick out before the 3 count. Vader then dragged Maivia over to the corner with the intention of hitting him with the Moonsault but Vader’s plan fell apart when he wasted time playing to the crowd on his way to the top rope, allowing Maivia time to raise his knees in defence. With Vader reeling, Maivia climbed the top rope and hit Vader with a flying drop kick to pick up the win and retain the Intercontinental championship. On a side note, Maivia received a somewhat mixed reaction to his victory. Winner: Rocky Maivia via pinfall.Bret Hart promo The Hitman called out Steve Austin to challenge him to a match at this month’s In Your House pay per view. Austin came out accept the challenge. An exchange of heated words turned to an exchange of blows, they were eventually prized apart by WWF officials. The Road Warriors vs. The British Bulldog and Owen Hart
The Road Warriors, taking exception to Bulldog and Owen’s anti-American views, set about trying to beat some respect into the Tag Team Champions. After absorbing a lot of punishment between them, Bulldog and Owen realised they were on the verge of losing their Tag Team titles and decided to get themselves counted out rather than lose them to The Road Warriors, much to the anger of the Raw is War crowd. Winners: The Road Warriors via count out.Vince McMahon interviews Shawn Michaels Vince McMahon welcomed back the former WWF Champion, Shawn Michaels who gave an interview discussing his recent knee surgery and how long his recovery would take. He also did a shoot on Bret Hart who he claimed had disrespected the WWF fans, the WWF superstars and the WWF as a whole by speaking to ‘’another organisation’’, for talking about Michaels behind his back and for only going into business for himself. Steve Austin vs. Mankind
In a good back and forth display, Steve Austin showed why he is rapidly becoming one of the biggest names in the WWF while Mankind also showed why he is the number one contender for the WWF title. As Mankind started to take charge of the match, the lights went out, fog filled the aisle and a chill went through the arena as The Undertaker’s music hit, Mankind and Paul Bearer looked on in fear towards the top of the stage expecting the arrival of The Undertaker, shortly the lights came back on and Mankind turned around and stepped straight into the Stone Cold Stunner followed by a 3 count. Winner: Steve Austin via pinfall.

-Sultan beating Montoya is fine. -Blackjacks and Godwinns sounds like a good match. Though the No Contest was good. -Happy that Rocky Maivia won. Hope Vader does well from here on out though. -Road Warriors beating Hart and Bulldog was cool. -Oh snap. I forgot. HHH beating Goldust was the right call. -Great main event though. Happy SCSA won.
-Great first RAW. Keep it up and you'll be getting lots of replies soon.

I am a big fan of The Sultan and I feel, if booked correctly, he could be a decent star. I love Hunter's promo, it is a step in the right direction to build him up. I like The New Blackjacks vs. The Godwinns ending in a draw as it keeps both teams strong. I am so anti Johnson it is almost ridiculous. I hope the Nation puts him out for good. Hunter pinning Goldust was the right call. I really hope Vader finds his way to the main event sooner than later as he could be a star. I love the Hart/Austin feud - I hope you book it correctly. I like the Road Warriors winning via count out. I wonder what you plan on doing with HBK. Austin beating Mankind was solid. I am digigng the Undertaker/Mankind feud.

WWF Shotgun Saturday Night: Saturday 5th April 1997...I dig the recurring layout for your news updates and then Shotgun Saturday Night. Adam Copeland getting a push is actually appropriate in this time area. I am just hoping that he isn't moved up to RAW any quickly, as he would be still learning a lot of things on this level. Rockabilyl beating Flash Funk is fine; not a bad match here. Rockabilly wasn't that bad a gimmick, until it got stale a few months later. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley beating Leif Cassidy is an appropriate main event. Enjoyable show as a whole.
WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 7th April 1997...Alright, getting onto this show, it looks to be an intriguing one at that. Aldo Montoya against The Sultan isn't the strongest opener in the world; easy win for Sultan against Aldo, and I like how you continue to build him, rather than having him drop off the radar as a whole after WrestleMania 13. Not such a fan of the massive size=three and centered headers against the left-aligned description sections. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley's promo on Goldust was pretty enjoyable though, but I really hope this feud isn't continuing to resume after their over three month rivalry in early 1997. Wow, sort of an odd occurence with The New Blackjacks beating each other to no contest, but with the Godwinns that comes as no surprise. I expect a rematch at In Your House. Decent promo with Faarooq; looking forward to this run of the gauntlet. Hunter Hearst-Helmsley beating Goldust is fine; not that sure why it had to happen again, though quite frankly. Rocky Maivia beating Vader is great; Maivia needs a proper gimmick to get over, to be honest.See you're going in that direction with the mixed reaction. I'd love a Vader feud against Mankind after 'Mania to be honest. Bret Hart's segment was great, straight to the point of inviting Stone Cold Steve Austin to In Your House. Legion of Doom (not Road Warriors) winning against the WWF Tag Team Champions, British Bulldog and Owen Hart is no surprise; the count out finish was interesting. A feud to perhaps develop from this point? I'd be enjoying that. Shawn Michaels' promo was pretty sweet, but him mentioning Bret is a little too soon to be honest. I hope you do go for the Montreal Screwjob in November, but really hoping it stretches that far. Lastly, a great win for Stone Cold against Mankind in the main event. A good show as a whole, but it seemed you wrote it up like it was the actual fallout from WrestleMania; which it isn't as this RAW took place two weeks after 'Mania's actual fallout. But yes, good start in the diary, just lacked The Undertaker and Sycho Sid. And maybe Ken Shamrock.

Thank you for all of your feedback, I'll be taking it into account!
Also, as drowning. mentioned, he isn't a fan of the layout for Raw is War so I was wondering, what is the general feeling on the layouts? I wasn't sure exactly on the layouts myself. Shotgun is obviously more of a results show without any real detail, but with Raw, what would everyone prefer? smaller headings? more colour? the whole text in left-alignment?
Thanks!

More color, different fonts and unique and appropriate sizes. Also look around at other diaries, and don't forget to reply to them too. Ensures more feedback.

This is very interesting. I may have caused a rift in a previous thread on here regarding WWE/WWF diaries, but this is still really cool. I definately get the 1997 feel out of it, which is pretty hard to get just right.
I have to agree with CENAMAZING about the layout, it does look a little better like that.
I'm enjoying this alot, I will definately be following.
