Honestly, despite the fact that it was drug related this was probobly one of the best things for him. He wasn't going anywhere and at least this gives him a chance to repackage himself and possibly make a comeback in the future. It's to bad because in 2006 he seemed to be recieved well as a face and I thought he would get some sort of push. Unfortunatly he was a victim of being lost in the shuffle on Raw.

I remember in 2005 people were saying he was going to be the next Rock. More like the next D Lo Brown.

So am I the only one who thinks he might not actually be released? For one they didn't say "We wish ... the best of luck in his/her future indevers" and he is still on the roster page on Raw. Plus when have they had a ... is released on the front page as a headline. The last I remember was Kurt Angle. Maybe I'm looking too much in to it.

Everybody on the interwebs always claimed that Carlito was "so talented" and how he was a "future WWE Champion". Based on WHAT? Seriously. Name me ONE memorable Carlito match. Name me ONE time where he just went out there and lit it up and had an awesome match and had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand based on how talented he was......I dare you, but you can't. The only memorable thing Carlito EVER did in WWE was when he tried to springboard off the 2nd rope and Randy Orton RKO'd him. But that was Orton being talented, NOT Carlito. Carlito is a mediocre wrestler with ZERO acting ability or charisma who was LAZY and had no motivation or work ethic. He never tried to do anything to better his career and he was just as happy to sit off TV and collect a paycheck. He took his job for granted and doesn't deserve to be employed by WWE. And now we find out he's a drug user as well. THIS

Maybe they are trying to make an example of him by putting him on blast? Like Hey, even one of our upper tier stars can get released due to drugs. Carlito was marketed quite often before (IMO), I've seen him in many ads and such. I really don't know the possibility of this being a storyline or not. Carlito's release has ben treated a bit differently from other superstars.

To clarify, he wasn't released due to the violation. It was only his first offense. He was released because they said he had to go to rehab, and he said no, no, no. That's still part of the violation. They usually held that off for second offense, but maybe they're cracking down harder now. Can't say I blame them. I was looking forward to seeing the colons as a team again, as I was mad they were split up in the first place.

And now we find out he's a drug user as well. Obviously, I'm a fan & I'm not saying your opinion is wrong..but I can name tons of matches where I think the crowd was eating out the palm of his hand..then more that are just great wrestling matches & "memorable moments" crowd eating out of his hand 1. Carlito vs Nitro vs Benjamin @ Vengeance _ IC TITLE *his moveset as a babyface is fun to watch & people loved this 2. Carlito vs Cena on Smackdown_US Title Debut *the entire night, every promo & after the match 3. Carlito vs Masters @ Backlash *even the build up..where he kept screwing Masters over - also getting cheered at Mania the second he stepped in the ring & after the match 4. Carlito vs Benjamin @ Vengeance_IC TITLE *That match is special!! The crowd was very into it, a lot supporting Carlito & it was just a great match. His Raw Debut also..when people were shocked that they gave it to him on another "first time" Other great matches: on Raw: my favorite was triple threat with Orton & Flair *MITB Qualifying Match on Raw: RVD, Flair *night after PPV during first feud*, Edge, 6pack challenge for IC Title, HBK, Jeff Hardy_IC TITLE Ladder Match..even against Victoria (a joke match that the crowd was behind) vs Jeff Hardy for the IC Title @ Taboo Tuesday The Elimination Chamber match ECW match against Benjamin..any match as The Colons was really good IMO, but that's just me Colons vs WGTT on Superstars Colons vs Miz & Morrison over & over again *too many to name Colons vs Legacy a few times I liked his match against Orton & the whole build up also.. Everyone says he was lazy or didn't care & that's fine..maybe but I liked his character, he did little things that were interesting.. "Carlito's Cabana" with Big Show, Edge, Kurt Angle, HBK, & Cena..watch how quick the crowd cheered Carlito & then turned back to hating him, within a few words -- that is hard to do He could've been the next Rock & was the next Ric Flair -- his ring style was a mix of the two..the crowd loved to see him cheat He spoke out about HHH & being left off Mania with Flair -- They wouldn't look at him the same..He wasn't going to be used properly ever again He couldn't even get them to invest in him after he was electric in the tag team with Primo..>They killed any momentum & put the match on Raw instead of building up to a PPV They had a great thing against Miz & Morrison -- couldn't even get on Mania I understand if there were reasons for not using him, but I never saw any "LAZY" until way after all of that junk was said..way way after he'd split up with Flair They had a great split & the crowd really got behind it..good matches while they were teamed up & then after losing to Flair - he vanished *punishment for the Mania thing* It's tough to be on the road 350 days a year for years at a time..that's the thing It's not a lack of passion for wrestling..it's a lack of passion for living on the road, out of a suitcase Hopefully he can go to TNA & it will give him time to get back in great shape, get a tan..be less burned out from the road & have amazing matches

Maybe the storyline is Ted buys back Carlito.

Are you sure they haven't put it there to build to him joining the SES? How far into your rear end did you have to reach to pull out that cockamamy idea? Well he'd have literally nothing else to do and he's been abusing his body with drugs *shrug* just an idea.

Maybe the storyline is Ted buys back Carlito. Hmm.. that sounds like a plan. The way they're handling this release definitely seems to raise suspicion. SES? The new Virgil? Maybe it's just cause I'm a big fan. Either way I really hope there's something more to this and he finds his way back in the WWE.

Kinda surprising but I don't care about him so be gone! I guess he will be in Orlando in 3 months.

Last time someone failed wellness and refused rehab, they died.
Think he's cool, why dont you dig him up and see how cool he looks.

I've always hated those horrible pants....not surprised, since he's never been the same since his program w/ HHH ended in '07....even when he won the Tag Titles w/ Primo, he just stuck in the midcard...I wonder what's gonna happen to Primo at this point...pair him w/ Tito Colon perhaps?

It's all a cover up, Carlito was actually stabbed in a nightclub.
