I was really disappointed with Grand Theft Auto 4. I may have been expecting too much since San Andreas was one of the best games I had ever played, but 4 was just so basic and boring. I played through the story once and sold my copy and never have played it again. I liked 4,..but I know what you mean. I hope 5 meets or beats SA

I wouldn't call it my biggest letdown but LA Noire was a bore. Others include RE5, RE6, AC Revelations.

I wouldn't call it my biggest letdown but LA Noire was a bore. Others include RE5, RE6, AC Revelations. Resident Evil 6. How could I forget that one? When I first saw the trailer, I thought the story sounded great. Wesker having a son, Chris not knowing he's Wesker's son, it sounded great. Then the game comes out and it's just crap. Instead of focusing on one great story, they split it into multiple small stories that had nothing interesting going and all used the same "shoot enemies, get to a certain location, fight a boss, end of story" scenario. Not to mention Chris' campaign felt like a generic COD knockoff. Nothing about this game made me think I was playing a RE game. I also hate how the RE games have went from Survival Horror to generic shooter. And why does every game that comes out now have to have a stupid online mode? Give me a Resident Evil on these next gen systems that lives up to RE 1, 2, and 3 and stop trying to make a cheap buck with an inferior game.

Superman 64
Being a comic book fan, especially around the time the game came out, I was extremely excited for this game. Goddamn, what a let down.

A lot of crushing disappointments for me were on the NES. Back before there were many honest game reviews out there, you just never knew. X-Men on NES was mind raping bad.

With the 3 characters and what not. I really really have a strong disdain for the white trash guy as I live around white trash and cannot stand them.

I liked the rags to riches story and the characters were extremely likable. Online gameplay was awesome, too.

Legends of WrestleMania was a huge letdown, I remember when Mike Regan from GamingRing hyped it up by saying that the closest comparison he was given on how this game played like was the Japanese import wrestling game King of Colosseum II. King of Colosseum II happens to be one of the deepest wrestling games ever so I had very high expectations. So, you can just imagine how disappointed I was when I found out that the simplistic gameplay revolved around Quick Time Events, a terrible gimmick which should never again be used in wrestling games. I would say Max Payne 3. Too me its unplayable. lol

GTA IV is my biggest letdown in recent memory. I just couldn't get into it. Niko and Roman were so uninteresting and I didn't find a lot of the missions very enjoyable.

Raw for XBox. I based my choice of getting an Xbox over a PS2 based on that game, and I firmly believe it killed my gaming spirit for a while.

I'd also have to say that South Park on the N64 was a big letdown aswell, horrible gameplay, weak story and It was torture after only beating the 1st stage. An obvious cash in without any proper effort put into it during South Parks more prolific days.
