Mae Young gave birth to a hand before PG. I knew someone would bring that up, the only two things anyone can bring up is the hand thing and Katie Vick. Katie Vick was barely the attitude era. The hand thing was actually funny, I'm not saying it was great but it was still better then the antics of hornswoggle that happen too often to even mention at this point. Wrestling was just better back then, I guess that's my opinion but I think the ratings kind of agree with me. And those ratings are split between nitro and Raw, which is really crazy when you think about it. Choppy choppy pee pee ring a bell? How about Hawk "falling from the Titan Tron"? DX making Bret Hart look racist? Val Venis checking out Big Show's, "big show" in a bathroom? Kane hooking up jumper cables to Shane's testicles? The Oddities? I can go on, but the fact was that the Attitude Era was NOT aimed toward wrestling fans - it was aimed toward people who were not wrestling fans but watched it because they could hear foul language, damn near see nudity, and see people gush blood. The Attitude Era was smutty tv that was over the top, and I don't miss it one bit... and how was "wrestling better back then" exactly? WWE has ALWAYS worked a safer style for their performers. All I remember that was real different were stupid "hardcore" matches, much bigger guys, language, smut, and a lot of 4-5 minute matches.

Whether it happened during the Attitude Era or not, it was still a product of the TV-14 rating you're so fond of. There's plenty more than just those two incidents. What about Edge and Lita's sex celebration? Yeah, that was fun. Seriously, blaming the PG rating for this particular or any segment similar to this one is asinine considering how many TV-14 segments that were that are even stupider than this one. The blame clearly falls on the writers, not the rating.

Yeah, it doesn't matter what the rating is, whether it's PG, TV-14, or even MA, it will still have stupid segments as long as there are stupid writers.

Billy and chuck was an awesome gimmic, great heels. Anything weird or any gimmic that isn't super serious Wfigs hate. it's also funny how people either underated or overate the attitude era. People either hate it or love it. i like it, but I don't claim it's the best ever, although the MNW's made it a truly magical time to be a wrestling fan. I prefer late 80's to early 90's. Just to be clear, I don't hate the current the product, I'm a fan, I watch every week. I just think it could be better, I also hate the non blood rule. It's wrestling, not ballet. If they don't want to blade anymore then whatever, but stopping the match because of accidental blood is intellectually- disabled. If anything that is a bad message for kids. Look kids! you can wrestler/fight like this and never bleed! I think blood would scare little kids and make them not want to try it.

I prefer more reality based characters and storylines.
You're right, I don't like "weird" gimmicks in this day and age. We're not in the cartoon era of the late 80's and early to mid 90's.

I never said Billy & Chuck wasn't great, but the wedding was stupid. And I agree about blood.

Then why are you defending hornswoggle? Any way, I couldn't disagree with you more. I hate stupid pointless behind the scenes stuff but I like funny or interesting gimmicks. All the current guys with basically no gimmick bore the crap out of me (Drew, Dolph Ziggler, etc etc)

IMO, the WWE has it's flaws, but it's still really entertaining to me right now and it's fine the way it is. I loved the Attitude Era, it's fun to go back and watch it, but I would never want to see the WWE go back to that, I think it's just as fun to watch now as it was back then. Also, I could care less about the blood thing TBH.

I just don't understand why people are so pessimistic about everything. I like everything about the WWE. All of the wrestlers, segments, storylines, etc. Sure this wasn't that funny, but I don't think it was supposed to be. Instead of complaining about it, I see the purpose, being that they want a way to explain how Hornswoggle will begin to talk, instead of just having him talk out of nowhere, like Umaga.

The segment was crappy. The "doctor" was such a terrible actor, I wonder if they just found any old guy to play the part. Ah well. I liked Hornswoggle hiding as a plant better, they should've done more with that. I just don't understand why people are so pessimistic about everything. I like everything about the WWE. Hasn't Hornswoggle talked before? I find it strange that both him and Khali can perfectly understand English, but not speak it.

Because choking by neckties is way too violent... Can I choke the outta you with a tie and see if you think it's still no big deal? What I'm trying to say is, is that Daniel Bryan was taken off TV for choking a guy with a neck tie. Yet Hornswoggle can electrocute a man and it's funny. All in how its portrayed.
