Here is the result of my 8 hour draft today. Lots of beer and trash talk later, here is my team, the Atlanta Rippin' N' Tearin'.
12 teams, IDP, 3 starting WR, 4 pt. QB touchdowns, 3rd round reversal. I had the 8th pick.
QB - Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger RB - Michael Turner, Rashard Mendenhall, Darren McFadden, Darren Sproles, Peyton Hillis, Jason Snelling WR - Roddy White, Chad Ochocinco, Bernard Berrian, Mike Williams (TB), Devin Aromashodu, Golden Tate, Devin Thomas TE - Dallas Clark K - Neil Rackers DL - Mario Williams, Aaron Kampman LB - Ray Lewis, Demarcus Ware DB - Troy Polamalu, Antrel Rolle
So what do you think? I didn't mean to load up on Falcons early, I didn't want to, but White and Turner were by far the best players on the board at the time.

Your team looks pretty good. At first glance your RB look a little thin, but they might be able to produce. Snelling was a nice pickup for Turner. Quarterbacks seem to be 'safe'. They probably won't score you a lot of points each week, but they shouldn't be too bad. I don't know how IDP leagues work, but your defensive players good. I recognize the names lol. Your WR have a lot of upside, I like Aromashodu and hopefully Devin Thomas has a good year with McNabb. Clark can be treated like a #2 WR.
How do you think you did?

I'm pretty happy with the team overall. I jumped on Clark early, mostly because as you said, he is essentially a receiver, and I liked him over the currently available receivers. I ended up taking my 3rd back later than I wanted, but I am sort of pleased with McFadden since Bush is hurt, possibly for a while. I think Sproles and Hillis have potential to steal some playing time, and Snelling was just a handcuff. Most people in this league have at least 6 RB, so it's hard to get much depth at that position.
I am not happy I ended up with Eli, but I refused to take some of the other QBs when they were going. In the end, I think when the rapist comes back, I'll be fine platooning him with Eli based on matchup. And I do think some of my receivers have good potential upside.
As far as the IDP, the scoring is : Each Sack (SK) 5 Total Tackles (TK) 1 Interception Return TD (INTTD) 6 Fumble Return TD (FRTD) 6 Each Interception (INT) 5 Each Fumble Recovered (FR) 1 Each Fumble Forced (FF) 3 Each Safety (SF) 2 Assisted Tackles (TKA) 0.5 Solo Tackles (TKS) 1 Passes Defensed (PD) 1
But DL is the top position to draft, because high scoring DL are rare. So I missed my chance at a few of the elite guys like Allen, so I waited a while. Linebackers are like QBs, where it's easy to get good production from later guys, so I waited and got great value with Lewis and Ware. DBs pretty much blow, but generally you want safeties, as they get more tackles. The elite corners don't get a lot of tackles, and aren't near the ball as much, so they often don't get as many points as some lesser guys.
