I saw this thread from the "new topics" feature and thought you were just another person blind to the other multiple threads on him, but I see where you've posted it and posted a nice picture along with it. Hasbro's were way before my time, they look very cool on display, I don't own any of Gonzales' figures. ^^^ Thanks for posting those pics.

I've not posted RIP to him on any other thread so only fitting to do it here. I loved it when I finally got my Giant Gonzales hasbro figure. It was a little after I was "too old" to carry on playing with them but I dusted down my ring just for a match with the Undertaker like I'd always wanted to do around WM9. God bless (and to all the others!)

Great likeness, big as he should be.. Had an action for one of his big moves (brain chops) and could easily do bear hugs, his other big move. I'd say he was one of the MOST accurate of the Hasbro line, because the immobility really lent itself to his style

i personally dont think the figure looks like real life at all, he is choc full of muscles! not that he would have looked cooler as a thin bean stalk with airbrushed muscles. that outfit was just not very good anyway, but that is another discussion:P also the figure is extremely light, head or torso doesnt turn at all, wich gives him zero movability, and although that kind of gives a good reflection on real life, it makes him boring to play with imo.

But that's like saying you need a Jim Ross with 20 points of articulation. The most Giant Gonzalez ever did was walk around the ring and headbutt or chop, or occasionally bear hug.

Very sad to hear, heard he hadn't been in the best of health for the last 10 or so years, and was wheelchair bound.
Rest in Peace big man, another one lost from my favourite years of wrestling (88-94)
No more this year please..

I was gutted to hear this. My mum and dad met him in an airport once and my mum said his hand was bigger than her head. They always remembered him because i was sent to be during RR 1993 when he eliminated the Undertaker and I kicked up a huge fuss about not being able to see the RR to the end so they taped it for me.

He was quite the site when he came to the WWE in 1993 and DWARFED the Undertaker. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him.
As far as his figure goes .... I like it. He, from what I can see, is the tallest WWE hasbro figure of them all as he should be. (He edges out Andre by a hair). His figure itself is a little on the muscle side, but he still has the designed fur. Def. not the worst hasbro out there. Not even close.

Definitely not the worst figure in the line by any stretch of the imagination
