Just e-mailed the fine people at RSC. They said from what they understand Raven in wave 5 should be in DI style even though its a legend figure.
They did say they would only no for 100% sure when protos are shown, But from what they understand any figure in a deluxe Impact set should be Deluxe Impact style.

well tom confirmed the legends will remain RI so guess youll just have to pissed off then... there is still a market for them and thats why they will remain RI... if it bothers you to that degree you can alwasy do a head swap on to a DI body...

I prefer DI and know they are better to play with but I have so many RI I could just never convert this late in the game!

I hope they make a lotr deluxe series which includes:
Deluxe Surfer Sting (series 1 but deluxe), Deluxe Jeff Jarrett (series 1 but deluxe), Deluxe Raven (TNA Impact 5 but deluxe), Deluxe Shane Douglas (TNA Impact 6 but deluxe), and whatever two others.
I just feel that Classic Styles and Joe won't be created in deluxe because they pretty much have made a Classic Styles (tna deluxe series 2 and ctl series 3) and when they make joe in series 5 hopefully it will be with his current (old school classic) gear.
I just would love to see 3 out of the 4 guys released (minus the jarrett although I counted him because of the pic we all saw)

Well, if Tom and trevor said anything titled LOTR would be RI, I would say thats right. I just used RSC contact us section and got the reply i mentioned.
Its great for anyone who does collect the RI LOTR figures, but it also is kind of a drag they are mixing and matching styles in a set.
As far as TNA goes I only get DI. Its upsetting they waste a spot for a DI figure to put in a LOTR RI Figure. Why wouldnt they just put Raven in the LOTR series 3 or something.
Its no biggy, if it continues past series 5 I just wont pre order entire sets of DI anymore.
Oh, and LJN Arena, you said I could always just do a head swap with any RI that came in the DI sets... Dude, if I tried any kind of customizing technique, I promise you I would just break a perfectly good toy LOL. I suck at that kind of stuff.

I'm all for the lotr being RI, and them doing a TNA RI style...but it bugs me that in the DI SERIES, they would put some RI style figures...especially of raven and douglas, who i would love to get in DI form and G2, your precious RA/Ri's have scale issues too

You take Buddy Roberts body, Kurt Angle shoes, skinny arms and you got a decent looking/sized Amazing red. You dont have that option in DAs. You have Big arms and Bigger arms. Ripped torsos and more ripped torsos, skinny knees and skinny knees....Its just total fail

After Series 2 they are just putting one RI Legend in with the DI line. Just like they did wit hthe LJN wannabe's in the CS line. Here is what Trevor had said about them being RI back on Sept 23 in the "Ringside's TNA Exclusive on the horizon..." thread - 'FYI - I got confirmation that the Legends of the Ring figures mixed in the Deluxe Impact Sets will remain in Ruthless Style. -Trevor Ringside" That was page 19 of this post - wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wrestlingfigs&action=display&thread=190778&page=19And earlier in the same thread he had mentioned LotR being dropped after Series 2 in Favor of adding 1 Legend per DI Series.

Yo, everyone needs to chill out and just realize that you are still going to get RI's.
I know some people want DI's for the LOTR line, but guess what... Your not going to get them, so get over it.

Thanks PJ. That does atleast make more sense.
I didnt like the fact that they were adding LOTR figures to the DI line when there is already a LOTR line they could have just put them in.
But if the LOTR line is going to stop, That is cool that they are keeping them alive by adding one per DI set.
I dont buy th RI LOTR figures (stopped buying that style when Jakks lost WWE), but I wouldnt want them to completly stop knowing there are so many who do really enjoy them.
So that is very cool of Jakks.
Its probably best even to just do one LOTR per DI set, because around my parts, you can find rows of the complete set of LOTR series 1. People buy them here and there, but not enough to merit an entire series of 5 or 6 figures every 2 to 3 months.
