How do we know this is legit? I mean, I'm just sayin... that is absolutely kevin dunn's voice, he has a distinctive one i think, if you can find the episode of tough enough he is on you can match them up. it may have been season 2

It was actually first put up by WWE on their Twitter account by accident.

Of course it's not fake, have none of you ever heard Kevin Dunn speak before? It's legit alright. I've never really paid THAT much attention to him to know his voice right away. ...and Christ, that's a horrible voice.

As I said in the NXT thread it's really cool to hear what happens backstage but I expected it to be more exciting.

I'll just C/P what I posted in the NXT thread:
As a general production nerd, I found the Kevin Dunn version to be pretty interesting. I don't know if they are able to make it so that the commentators only hear him whenever he's specifically talking to them, but I sure hope so. I can't imagine how tough it would be to get any point or personality across while all this jargon is being rattled off. I liked his little comments throughout the episode. (Particularly, his surprise that Dusty improvised his kiss to Aksana as well as his response to Aksana not really selling the heel turn during the elimination. "Well, she's over it.") I never realized that someone was always responsible for telling the crew when to cue and fade every bit of music that plays throughout the show as well.

I definitely agree, I couldn't be any more fascinated by the inner workings of a TV show, particularly one in front of a live audience, and even more specifically, one like WWE. Like I said, I'd love to see every show like this - especially a live Raw. It's amazing that he's so comfortable with having total control over the show, but I suppose that comes with the huge amount of experience he has. He never seems to lose his cool with the crew and he makes sure things run smoothly. It's amazing how much goes into a single broadcast.

Normally Kevin Dunn is in charge of the technical production, while Vince McMahon takes control of the announcers and the creative end of the live show and also acts as show runner. In this particular case Smackdown was being taped on the same night as the election, so there's a pretty good chance that Vince was not at the show, and Kevin Dunn had full control over the show. I would imagine in most cases the production is not this hectic, and the technical production is kept separate from the creative production.

Very cool, thanks for posting. Jim Cornette's impression of Dunn wasn't exaggerated either.

Joey Styles said "If the announcing is better tonight, it's because Vince is in Hartford, CT and not producing Josh and Cole " on twitter. Probably why the it's leaked.

No, It's legit. Apparently from what I heard on a radio show WWE.com made a mistake and put this up by accident
